医院信息统计研究综述

医院信息统计是医院现代化管理工作中的一个重要环节,随着现代网络技术的发展,医院信息统计的重要地位日益突显,文章对国内2000~2015年医院信息统计的相关研究情况进行了梳理,目的在于理清医院信息统计研究的发展与脉络,使医院信息统计更为有序和高效,以促进公众医疗资源的优化配置和利用率,实现经济效益增长的最大化。     

关于独立学院统计学课程教学的几点思考

独立学院作为一种新兴的办学模式,主要以应用型人才为培养方向。统计学作为一门应用性极强的课程,在独立学院中广泛地开展。作者结合自身教学实践体会,对独立学院非统计专业的统计学课程教学中存在的问题,从教师队伍、教学过程、考核环节等方面进行分析,提出几点看法,以期促进独立学院统计学课程教学的改进和发展。     

Unders and Overs: Using a Dice Game to Illustrate Basic Probability Concepts

In this paper, the dice game Unders and Overs is described and presented as an active learning exercise to introduce basic probability concepts. The implementation of the exercise is outlined and the resulting presentation of various probability concepts are described.     

Online homework impact in undergraduate mathematics and business statistics courses

This evaluation examines the impact on student success rates related to changes in instructional programmes in undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses. Success for students taking courses with a computer-based homework component was compared with success of students who took the course in prior semesters without the computer-based component. Graphical and analytical tools are used to compare results. Results come from multiple semesters of each type of homework application, for both pre-calculus algebra and business statistics courses. Students whose performance is utilised in this study are undergraduate students taking introductory level college mathematics or business statistics courses, with mostly no prior instruction at this level. Comparing the success of the intervention group with the success of the baseline control group, findings support that the students using the computer-based homework instruction are just as successful as those using the traditional method of homework instruction. Utilising the online homework applications, provide several important advantages in today’s universities, including the reduced time for faculty grading, consistency of graded assignments across all sections of a course and most importantly, immediate feedback for students.     

心理统计学教学改革的思考与实践

文章结合心理统计学教学存在的问题和发展趋势,尝试进行心理统计学课程的教学改革探讨,具体包括教学内容、教学方法和评价方法3个方面：教学内容改革主要体现为从应用的角度对教学内容进行取舍;教学方法改革主要涉及在教学形式方面的探索;评价方法改革简述了在形成性评价方面的尝试。结果表明,教改在一定程度上改善了之前教学中存在的问题,提高了学生的相关能力,也促进了教师的发展。     

Teaching principles of inference with ANOVA

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is a test of mean differences, but the reference to variances in the name is often overlooked. Classroom activities are presented to illustrate how ANOVA works with emphasis on how to think critically about inferential reasoning.     

Using pig die and simulation to explore probability and expected values

We present a variant of the Game of Pig to introduce the concepts of probability, simulation and expected value.     

概率论与数理统计课程的教学改革——以创新创业教育为导向

在大众创业、万众创新的背景下,创新创业教育是高校教学改革的突破口。案例教学法是将理论与实践相结合的重要教学方法,对培养创新型人才有积极意义。文章以创新创业教育为导向,应用案例教学法开展概率论与数理统计课程的教学实践。通过深入分析概率论与数理统计课程的教学现状,探讨案例教学法的教学优势,提出教学改革思路——建立完整的案例库、理论与实践并重,在教学实践中取得了良好的教学效果。
