Cr doped ZnAl2O4 spinel samples were prepared by the traditional solid state reaction and co-precipitation synthetic route, and the results suggest that the co-precipitation method has some superiority in contrast to the solid state reaction method. XRD, FT-IR, and XPS spectra confirmed that the well-crystallized spinel cubic phase of ZnAl2O4: Cr3+ samples were successfully formed. The morphology of the samples was investigated by FE-SEM and FE-TEM, and the results show that the samples by the co-precipitation route can generate a smaller size of particles compared to the solid state reaction. Photoluminescence excitation spectra monitored at 686 nm are comprised of two broad excitation bands near 530 nm and 395 nm, and the emission spectra show emissions ranging from 640 to 780 nm, due to the 2E?→?4A2 spin-forbidden transition of Cr3+ ions in spinel lattices. The optimized concentration monitored at 686 nm is 1%, while at 693 nm is 3.5%. Compared with the samples by solid state reaction method, the samples by co-precipitation method show preferable luminescent properties, such as the higher photoluminescence intensity and higher quantum efficiency. Several phosphor-converted LEDs were to investigate the applicability of the prepared samples. The results confirm that the phosphor has potential applications in plant growth and supplementing the red region in white-LEDs and the phosphors prepared by co-precipitation are more suitable to be used in phosphor-converted LED devices due to their preferable luminescent properties.
We present a new isogeometric analysis (IGA) approach based on extended Loop subdivision scheme for solving various geometric flows defined on subdivision surfaces. The studied flows include the second-order, fourth-order, and sixth-order geometric flows, such as averaged mean curvature flow, constant mean curvature flow, and minimal mean-curvature-variation flow, which are generally derived by minimizing the associate energy functionals with -gradient flow respectively. The geometric flows are discretized by means of subdivision based IGA, where the finite element space is formulated by the limit form of the extended Loop subdivision for different initial control meshes. The basis functions, consisting of quartic box-splines corresponding to each subdivided control mesh, are utilized to represent the geometry exactly. For the cases of the evolution of open surfaces with any shape boundary, high-order continuous boundary conditions derived from the mixed variational forms of the geometric flows should be implemented to be consistent with the isogeometric concept. For time discretization, we adopt an adaptive semi-implicit Euler scheme. By several numerical experiments, we study the convergence behaviors of the proposed approach for solving the geometric flows with high-order boundary conditions. Moreover, the numerical results also show the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. 相似文献
High-efficiency Yb:Y2O3 laser ceramics were fabricated using the vacuum-sintering plus hot isostatic pressing (HIP) without sintering additives. High-purity well-dispersed nanocrystalline Yb:Y2O3 powder was synthesized using a modified co-precipitation method in-house. The green bodies were first vacuum sintered at a temperature as low as 1430°C and then HIPed at 1450°C. Finally, the samples were air annealed at 800°C for 10 h. Although no sintering aids were used, full density of the samples with excellent optical homogeneity and an inline transmission of 80% at 400 nm could be obtained. Moreover, photodarkening phenomenon was not detected in the ceramics. Preliminary laser experiment with the fabricated ceramics in a two-mirror cavity has demonstrated 32 W continuous-wave (CW) output at ∼1077 nm with an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 58.2%. To the best of our knowledge, this is so far the highest CW output power and optical-to-optical conversion efficiency achieved with the Yb3+-doped sesquioxide ceramics in a simple two-mirror cavity. 相似文献
Electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution in alkaline and neutral media offers the possibility of adopting platinum-free electrocatalysts for large-scale electrochemical production of pure hydrogen fuel, but most state-of-the-art electrocatalytic materials based on nonprecious transition metals operate at high overpotentials. Here, a monolithic nanoporous multielemental CuAlNiMoFe electrode with electroactive high-entropy CuNiMoFe surface is reported to hold great promise as cost-effective electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline and neutral media. By virtue of a surface high-entropy alloy composed of dissimilar Cu, Ni, Mo, and Fe metals offering bifunctional electrocatalytic sites with enhanced kinetics for water dissociation and adsorption/desorption of reactive hydrogen intermediates, and hierarchical nanoporous Cu scaffold facilitating electron transfer/mass transport, the nanoporous CuAlNiMoFe electrode exhibits superior nonacidic HER electrocatalysis. It only takes overpotentials as low as ≈240 and ≈183 mV to reach current densities of ≈1840 and ≈100 mA cm−2 in 1 m KOH and pH 7 buffer electrolytes, respectively; ≈46- and ≈14-fold higher than those of ternary CuAlNi electrode with bimetallic Cu–Ni surface alloy. The outstanding electrocatalytic properties make nonprecious multielemental alloys attractive candidates as high-performance nonacidic HER electrocatalytic electrodes in water electrolysis. 相似文献
