Storage at 20°improved Lactobacillus plantarum survival in directly brined olives. The best inoculation dates were on the first and fifth days after brining for Cacereña and Hojiblanca cultivars respectively. Lb. plantarum was present throughout the storage period only in Hojiblanca olives covered with initial free-salt solution and inoculated on the fifth day. In the presence of that bacterium, titratable acidity (0.5-1%) and pH (<4.0) reached proper values for olive preservation. Yeast populations, consisting of Pichia membranaefaciens and Pichia fermentans, in Hojiblanca, and Pichia minuta, Pichia fermentans, Pichia membranaefaciens, and Rodotorula spp, in Cacereña, were found in all treatments. 相似文献

A two-dimensional model is developed to describe the photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) biofilm formation on the solid surface in a flat-panel photobioreactor. The diffusion-reaction equations and cellular automata (CA) rule along with the previously obtained growth kinetics parameters of PSB are used to simulate the coupled mass transport and biochemical reaction as well as the biomass growth. With this model, the effects of the illumination intensity, pH value and initial inoculation on the formed biofilm morphology, porosity, roughness and thickness are investigated. Numerical results show that the biofilm porosity and thickness continuously decreases and increases during the PSB biofilm formation process, respectively, while the surface roughness reaches a stable value after a certain time. The optimal conditions for the PSB biofilm formation are the initial inoculation of 500, and the illumination intensity of 5000 lx and pH value of 7.0. 相似文献

Chilled cast iron tappet has a tendency microstructure of white, mottled and gray iron. The exact composition and other casting parameters, like pouring temperature, inoculation and coating, need to be determined for achieving the desired thickness of the chilled layer. Chilled cast iron finds applications in areas where improved hardness and wear resistance are required. Mottled cast iron has very poor machinability and high brittleness due to the presence of secondary cementite. These constitute the limitations for its use. The influence of inoculation, pouring temperature, coating thickness and chill plate on chilled depth was investigated. Taguchi design-of-experiments (DOE) are used for generating an optimal set of casting parameters to obtain a satisfactory chilled depth.
