The effect of green porosity of powder specimens and dispersion of nanostructured tungsten powder specimens on the density
of sintered alloys of the tungsten – nickel system is investigated. It is shown that the maximum density of the alloys is
achieved during liquid-phase sintering of powder compacts for one hour irrespective of their initial porosity within the range
from 30 to 65 vol.%. Dispersion of the nanostructured tungsten powders also affects the final porosity. Using the calculations
and experimental studies, the effective penetration of cylindrical striker bars made from the WNi-91 tungsten-nickel alloy
