Flow phenomena of three-dimensional conducting Casson fluid through a stretching sheet are proposed in the present investigation with the impact of the magnetic parameter in a permeable medium. The adaptation of particular transformations is useful to modify the governing equations into their nondimensional as well as the ordinary form. However, these transformed equations are nonlinear and approximate analytical methods for the solution of the complex form of governing equations. In particular, the Adomian decomposition method is proposed for the solution. The behavior of several variables, such as the magnetic and porous matrix, on the flow profile as well as the rate of shear stress, are discussed via graphs and tables. The conformity of the current result with the earlier study shows a road map for further investigation. The major concluding remarks are; the retardation in the velocity distribution is rendered due to an increase in the Casson parameter moreover, the Casson parameter favors in reducing the rate of shear stress coefficient in magnitude.  相似文献

The present work aims to present the results based on the processing of nanocomposites, which consist of matrix materials like epoxy and filler materials such as conjugated nanomaterials/allotropes of carbon, namely, carbon black, graphite, and multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) used for targeted applications. To improve the physical and chemical properties and to facilitate a better interfacial interface between the polymer and nanotube, functional MWCNT is used during the preparation of the composite. The prime objective of the study is to establish the thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties of nanocomposites using experimental methods. It has been observed from the experimental results that carbon nanotube (CNT) based composite exhibits higher mechanical (tensile and hardness) and thermal properties as compared with the others. The electrical properties are found to be better in a graphite-based composite. Although CNT has superior mechanical and thermal properties, the exorbitant price limits its use. Hence, the allotropes of carbon may be used judiciously considering both the cost and property requirements of the targeted application. Rare-earth orthoferrites (RFeO3) are well-known for the antiferromagnetic ground state. However, some of the recent experimental results suggest that the few members of RFeO3 family possess ferromagnetism. In the present investigation we report the possible origin of ferromagnetism in antiferromagnetic YFeO3 using density functional theory. For this purpose, we have considered pure as well as self-doping in YFeO3 i.e. by considering the point defect at Y, Fe and O sites. Our finding suggests that the point defects in YFeO3 results in the mixed-valence state of Fe, which may result in ferromagnetism through Zener double exchange mechanism.  相似文献
