ABSTRACT

Arabic sign language (ArSL) is method of communication between deaf communities in Arab countries; therefore, the development of systemsthat can recognize the gestures provides a means for the Deaf to easily integrate into society. In this research we implemented a computational structurefor an intelligent interpreter that automatically recognizes the isolated dynamic gestures. The proposed system recognizes and translates gesturesperformed with one or both hands. It comprises five subsystems, building dataset, video processing, feature extraction, mapping between ArSL and Arabictext, and text generation. To apply the system, 100-signs of ArSL was used, which was applied on 1500 video files. It's were divided into five classes:alphabet, numbers, "prepositions, pronouns and question words", Arabic life expressions, and "nouns and verbs". The evaluation indicated that thesystem automatically recognizes and translates isolated dynamic ArSL gestures by highly accurate manner. The results showed that the system accuracy is 95.8%.  相似文献

In agricultural context, the principal cause of serious accidents for all-terrain vehicles(ATVs) is rollover. The most important parameters related to this risk is the ground slope. In this paper, we propose a structured observer to estimate the system states and the longitudinal tire forces using only wheel angular velocities measurement. The robust estimation is based on a second order sliding mode observer. This estimation is then used to build up a ground slope estimation. The algorithm is composed by two cascaded estimators. This structured estimation is then applied to the model of an agricultural vehicle G7(GregoireTM) integrated in the driving simulation environment SCANeRTM-Studio.  相似文献

The reaction of various polyols derived from the oxypropylation of cork with aliphatic and aromatic mono‐ and diisocyanates was studied in solution at room temperature. In all instances, good second‐order kinetics were observed and the corresponding rate constant determined. The reactivity of the aromatic isocyanate was found to be much higher than that of aliphatic counterparts. The ensuing urethanes and polyurethanes were characterised by FTIR and 1H NMR spectroscopy, DSC and sol/gel distribution. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

A one‐step method was used to prepare stable aqueous nanocomposite dispersions based on cellulose whiskers extracted from the rachis of the date palm tree and a poly(styrene‐co‐2‐ethyl hexylacrylate) copolymer via miniemulsion polymerization. A reactive silane, i.e., methacryloxypropyl triethoxysilane was added to stabilize the dispersion and favor the anchoring of the whiskers on polymer particles. Dynamic light scattering was used to study the effect of the silane and whiskers contents on the average particle size of the polymer. Nanocomposites materials were prepared from these dispersions using a casting/evaporation method. The effect of the silane and whiskers contents on the thermal and mechanical properties were studied using differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical analysis. POLYM. ENG. Copper tin sulfide Cu-Sn-S compounds have been grown by the spray pyrolysis technique at 360 °C using SnCl2·2H2O, CuCl2 and thiourea (SC(NH2)2 as precursors. Structural, morphological, and optical properties were studied showing that the obtained films crystallized in tetragonal and orthorhombic structures in terms of the Cu/Sn concentration ratio in the starting solution. Moreover, the deposited films showed a relatively high optical absorption coefficient of around 104 cm−1 and exhibited indirect transition gaps which lie within 1.17-1.38 eV domain.  相似文献

The paper reports an experimental investigation for studying the movement dynamics and the separation of micronized particles on a poly-phase travelling wave conveyor (TWC). A digital balance and a sensitive electrometer controlled by Labview software were used to analyse the velocity and the material flow rate on a three-phase conveyor with respect to the variation of both the amplitude and the frequency of the applied voltage. It was found that about 80% of the particles mass move together in one single wave and that the electric charge gained by the particles increases with the intensity of the electric field. Moreover, preliminary experiments showed that it is possible to separate a granular mixture of plastic and copper micronized particles using a TWC. Successful experiments were carried out on micronized samples of both electric cable and electronic card wastes. High purity metal was recovered.  相似文献

This purpose of this paper is to develop and validate a model to accurately predict the cell temperature of a photovoltaic (PV) module that adapts to various mounting configurations, mounting locations, and climates while only requiring readily available data from the module manufacturer. Results from this model are also compared with results from published cell temperature models. The models were used to predict real-time performance from a PV water pumping systems in the desert of Medenine, south of Tunisia using 60-min intervals of measured performance data during one complete year. Statistical analysis of the predicted results and measured data highlights possible sources of errors and the limitations and/or adequacy of existing models, to describe the temperature and efficiency of PV-cells and consequently, the accuracy of performance of PV water pumping systems’ prediction models.  相似文献

In this review, an overview is given on the last development of catalytic methods for the preparation of substituted furans from carbohydrates and ensuing polymers. The review starts with the recent aspects in the synthesis of some key furan monomers in the presence of solid catalysts. In the second part, selected examples are given of polymerization systems leading to furan-based materials with promising properties, thus constituting a serious alternative to petroleum-based counterparts. Finally, a short examination is given on what could be the future of furan chemistry with the recent development of ionic liquids as solvents.  相似文献

Summary This paper describes a preliminary set of results concerning novel systems in which the synthesis of furanic polyesters was conducted according to a transesterification procedure. Regular linear macromolecular structures were thus obtained with molecular weights well above those previously reported for similar polyesters prepared by more conventional routes.  相似文献
