Simulations are presented of a very broad and flat supercontinuum (SC) in both the normal and anomalous group velocity dispersion regimes of the same equiangular spiral photonic crystal fiber at low pumping powers. For a pump wavelength at 1557?nm and average pump power of 11.2?mW, we obtained a bandwidth >3?μm (970?nm–4100?nm) at 40 dB below the peak spectral power with fiber dispersion ~2.1?ps/km nm at 1557?nm. In the same fiber, at pump wavelength 1930?nm and average pump power of 12?mW the SC bandwidth was more than two octaves (1300?nm–3700?nm) and dispersion was ~1.3?ps/km nm at 1930?nm. This demonstrates the potential use of the fiber for multi-wavelength pumping with commercially available sources at fairly low power.  相似文献

The existing anti-phishing approaches use the blacklist methods or features based machine learning techniques. Blacklist methods fail to detect new phishing attacks and produce high false positive rate. Moreover, existing machine learning based methods extract features from the third party, search engine, etc. Therefore, they are complicated, slow in nature, and not fit for the real-time environment. To solve this problem, this paper presents a machine learning based novel anti-phishing approach that extracts the features from client side only. We have examined the various attributes of the phishing and legitimate websites in depth and identified nineteen outstanding features to distinguish phishing websites from legitimate ones. These nineteen features are extracted from the URL and source code of the website and do not depend on any third party, which makes the proposed approach fast, reliable, and intelligent. Compared to other methods, the proposed approach has relatively high accuracy in detection of phishing websites as it achieved 99.39% true positive rate and 99.09% of overall detection accuracy.  相似文献

This paper reviews various energy efficient approaches in existence and proposes a Hybrid WDM–TDM PON architecture that allows the adaptive bandwidth allocation mechanism to reduce central office power consumption with acceptable performance. Our proposed architecture allows sending two signals, one broadband and other narrowband to each optical networking unit so an appropriate signal can be utilized according to the traffic demand. In case of very low traffic, only narrowband signal is used and a significant amount of energy consumption and OPEX is reduced. By using \(2\times \hbox {N}\) power splitter and interleaver, proposed architecture provides broadcasting at both broadband and narrowband signal depending on the required link rate. This further reduces energy consumption and OPEX by avoiding the transmission of same signal from multiple sources. Offered data rates to the optical distribution networks (ODNs) may also be varied by doubling the wavelength spacing of remote node AWG so that two contiguous wavelengths can be transmitted at each port or ODN. This provides the geographical dynamic bandwidth allocation. Proposed architecture also support simultaneous transmission of both broadband and narrowband signals to the ODN to provide bandwidth scalability and network extensibility for supporting future access network in terms of new users and data rates. As two signals are reaching to any ODN, resiliency against OLT TRx and line card failure is also achieved. The performance of the proposed design is verified by simulation results in terms of bit error rate and receiver sensitivity to demonstrate its feasibility for the next-generation optical access network.  相似文献

An index-guided, two-dimensional photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with triangular lattice and solid air core was designed and investigated using the effective index method. A modal analysis of three-ring elliptical air hole photonic crystal fiber is presented: first the innermost ring was made elliptical and then the cells of the inner two rings were made elliptical and finally all three rings contained elliptical cells. The above configuration was then compared with three-ring circular air hole photonic crystal fiber keeping the area of air holes and simulation parameters of the wafer the same to obtain the fundamental space-filling mode (FSM). The analysis was performed using full vector FDTD for TE and TM polarizations. The complex effective refractive index generated was then used to calculate the chromatic dispersion and birefringence properties of the PCF.  相似文献

The single mode property of a holey, index-guided two-dimensional photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is investigated using the alternate direction implicit method. The modal analysis of a three-ring elliptical air hole photonic crystal fiber is performed and compared with the equivalent three-ring circular air hole photonic crystal fiber keeping the air-fill fraction the same for both cases. The fiber is investigated for single mode operation. The effect of the rotation of the ellipse axes on these characteristics is also considered. It is observed that a PCF with elliptical air holes exhibits a better single mode property over a wider wavelength range in the optical domain. Also when the diameter of the air hole is properly catered for, they can show an endlessly single mode property.  相似文献
