In-network caching in Named Data Networking (NDN) based Internet of Things (IoT) plays a central role for efficient data dissemination. Data cached throughout the network may quickly become obsolete as they are transient and frequently updated by their producers. As such, NDN-based IoT networks impose stringent requirement in terms of data freshness. While various cache replacement policies were proposed, none has considered the cache freshness requirement. In this paper, we introduce a novel cache replacement policy called Least Fresh First (LFF) integrating the cache freshness requirement. LFF evicts invalid cached contents based on time series forecasting of sensors future events. Extensive simulations are performed to evaluate the performance of LFF and to compare it to the different well-known cache replacement policies in ICN-based IoT networks. The obtained results show that LFF significantly improves data freshness compared to other policies, while enhancing the server hit reduction ratio, the hop reduction ratio and the response latency.  相似文献

The effective delivery of emergency information to elderly people is a challenging task. Failure to deliver appropriate information can have an adverse impact on the well-being of the elderly people. This paper addresses this challenge and proposes an IoT-enabled information architecture driven approach, which is called “Resalert”. Resalert offers IoT-enabled emergency information supply chain architecture pattern, IoT device architecture and system architecture. The applicability of the Resalert is evaluated by the means of an example scenario, a portable Raspberry Pi based system prototype and user evaluation. The results of this research indicate that the proposed approach seems useful to the effective delivery of emergency information to elderly people.  相似文献

This paper presents a comprehensive review of emerging technologies for the internet of things (IoT)-based smart agriculture. We begin by summarizing the existing surveys and describing emergent technologies for the agricultural IoT, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, wireless technologies, open-source IoT platforms, software defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV) technologies, cloud/fog computing, and middleware platforms. We also provide a classification of IoT applications for smart agriculture into seven categories: including smart monitoring, smart water management, agrochemicals applications, disease management, smart harvesting, supply chain management, and smart agricultural practices. Moreover, we provide a taxonomy and a side-by-side comparison of the state-of-the-art methods toward supply chain management based on the blockchain technology for agricultural IoTs. Furthermore, we present real projects that use most of the aforementioned technologies, which demonstrate their great performance in the field of smart agriculture. Finally, we highlight open research challenges and discuss possible future research directions for agricultural IoTs.   相似文献

Energy harvesting (EH) has been considered as a promising technology to solve the constrained energy problem in the devices of IoT with its advantages of flexible deployment and sustainable energy supply.For multiple access channel with energy harvesting,a hybrid energy storage structure model composed by super capacitor and battery was proposed for the devices of IoT.According to the peculiarities of medium access channel and energy harvesting system,an optimized energy allocation strategy with exponential-type decline (ETD) was presented,the upper and lower bounds of the average throughput were deduced,in particular,the gap of two bounds was derived to be a constant.The channel capacity was further obtained by utilizing the relationship between the average throughput and the channel capacity.In the simulations,the effect of harvested energy,storage capacity and the number of nodes on the channel capacity were analyzed respectively.Experiment results show that compared with the conventional wireless node with single battery storage,the proposed hybrid energy storage structure can improve the harvested energy value and increase the multiple access channel capacity by using adaptive modulation scheme when transmitting the signals.  相似文献

Thermal comfort is an important factor in human body. It can seriously impact on the livelihood factors of human such as lifestyle, productivity, societal activity, and health of an individual. It holds tremendous adverse affect toward diminishing of tolerance to other environmental hazards too. In this paper, an Internet of Things based cloud enabled measurement of MISSENARD index is proposed. A prototype system is implemented based on the proposed novel architecture for measuring thermal comfort of the indoor occupants. The system is developed to apprehend the Internet of Things based multiple cloud services as an important enabler for conferring to MISSENARD index monitoring in real time. The developed system holds a novel way of smarter integration of sensor fueled data analytics with cloud supported visualization at the same time. It further validates the usability of several plug-ins, different Application Programming Interfaces (API), heterogeneous network communications, and low power, memory constrained yet cost effective processor altogether to testify the underlying theory of Internet of Things to become prevalent into a reality.  相似文献

针对现有物联网标识解析存在的性能缺陷, 提出一种带智能预测缓存的物联网标识解析器, 以DNS为基础, 支持各种物联网标识编码类型的解析, 并具有智能预测的缓存功能。预测时采用关联规则方法对日志数据进行挖掘, 根据当前的查询请求预测下一个可能解析的标识, 提前解析, 缓存解析结果。同时结合TTL策略以及LRU策略作为缓存置换方法, 具有高效性和时效性。实验表明, 该解析器具有较高的命中率和较小的响应时间, 且当缓存大小为62时获得最优性能。  相似文献
