This study compared the Quanti-Disc most probable number (MPN) test for heterotrophic bacteria from drinking water with the widely used yeast extract agar (YEA) pour plate method. The Quanti-Disc test module contains 50 reaction wells in which a medium has been pre-deposited. The medium contains a suite of three fluorogenic enzyme substrates selected for the detection of enzymes expressed widely by heterotrophic bacteria. The MPN of heterotrophic bacteria is calculated from the number of fluorescing reaction wells after incubation of a sample. Quanti-Disc and the YEA pour plate method were compared according to guidance on comparing methods given in United Kingdom national guidance and ISO 17994:2004. The two methods were also challenged with reference strains and isolates of heterotrophic bacteria from drinking water. This indicated that heterotrophic bacteria commonly encountered in drinking water are detected by both the YEA pour plate method and Quanti-Disc. Analysis of data from split water samples (723 for 37 degrees C tests and 872 for 22 degrees C tests) from nine geographically diverse laboratories in England and Wales demonstrated that the Quanti-Disc method is equivalent to the YEA pour plate method for the analysis of heterotrophic bacteria from drinking and similar waters at 37 degrees C, and superior to YEA for the analysis at 22 degrees C. The Quanti-Disc method is a simple and efficient alternative method for the enumeration of heterotrophic bacteria from drinking water.  相似文献

乡村振兴战略下我国农村土地开发面临 着多元主体利益冲突与协调困境。以四川省3个村 庄作为研究对象,采用多案例对比、多主体分析 的研究思路,分别解析政府主导、市场主导、村 集体主导三种村庄土地开发路径的开发过程与 驱动机制,并总结其在利益分配方面的困境或不 足。研究结果表明,在公共利益、集体利益和个 人利益的博弈中,开发主体及行为动机差异是造 成利益冲突困境的根本原因。其中,政府和市场 主导的村庄土地开发存在较多的利益分配不协调 问题,而村集体主导能够较好地协调公共、集体 和个人利益的关系。在农村土地开发过程中协调 处理好利益主体的相互关系是解决问题的关键, 应当通过开发主体限制、平台构建、利益联结和 协商机制的确立,实现可持续的农村土地开发与 乡村振兴战略的全面推进。  相似文献

曲率属性分析是一项新兴的地震资料解释技术,近年来在西方国家得到了较为迅速的发展。该技术在识别地下微小断层、裂缝、孔洞发育带方面表现出良好的特性。从曲率属性的概念出发,论述了曲率属性分析的基本原理、分类,将曲率属性分析与其他属性分析方法进行了对比,最后通过实际例子展示了曲率属性分析技术在地震资料解释中的应用效果。  相似文献

This paper develops a new method for comparing numerical variables defined in a region. This method covers numerical variables defined over a two-dimensional space, such as temperature and humidity distributions, as well as those defined on a discrete space such as the height of trees and the age of buildings. To evaluate the difference between two variables, this method considers three types of transformations that convert one variable so that it fits the other as well as possible. The result gives a basis for the separate evaluation of spatial and aspatial differences between the variables. The transformations also permit us to describe the spatial difference in more detail. To test the validity of the method, this paper applies it to an analysis of three spatial datasets of different sizes. The result shows that the proposed method is effective for evaluating and visualizing the difference between numerical variables.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The Cassini Project, a NASA-funded exploration mission to Saturn that is being managed by the California Institute of Technology's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for NASA, has developed a distributed project schedule control system for complex development programs. The system is called the Cassini Management Information System (CMIS). The system was built to make schedule control simple, user-friendly, and low-cost. CMIS is distributed across a local area network of PCs and Macintosh computers and consists of four major modules: schedule control, action item tracking, work package implementation plan, and budget tracking. This article focuses on the schedule control module of CMIS. CMIS was one of the innovations introduced in response to the decrees of the U.S. Congress, and subsequently NASA, to conduct space exploration on a fixed-price basis. This article summarizes CMIS development history as a schedule control tool, its key features, and its use by more than 130 engineers and managers.  相似文献

Previous studies have shown that pedestrian countdown signals had different influences on pedestrian crossing behavior. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the installation of countdown signals at school intersections on children’s crossing behavior. A comparison analysis was carried out on the basis of observations at two different school intersections with or without pedestrian countdown signals in the city of Jinan, China. Four types of children’s crossing behavior and child pedestrian-vehicle conflicts were analyzed in detail. The analysis results showed that using pedestrian countdown timers during the Red Man phase led to more children’s violation and running behavior. Theses violators created more conflicts with vehicles. However, pedestrian countdown signals were effective at helping child pedestrian to complete crossing before the red light onset, avoid getting caught in the middle of crosswalk. No significant difference was found in children who started crossing during Flashing Green Man phase between the two types of pedestrian signals. Moreover, analysis results indicated that children who crossed the road alone had more violation and adventure crossing behavior than those had companions. Boys were found more likely to run crossing than girls, but there was no significant gender difference in other crossing behavior. Finally, it’s recommended to remove countdown at the end of the Red Man phase to improve children’s crossing behavior and reduce the conflicts with vehicles. Meanwhile other measures are proposed to improve children safety at school intersections.  相似文献
