针对STL文件在传递复杂几何实体模型信息方面具有精度较高的特点,提出了一种基于STL文件变密度三维全六面体网格自动生成方法,给出了STL文件的数据格式及其内容约定,详细阐述了基于STL文件空间CAE模型表面特征自动识别、拓扑关系的生成和变密度栅格法加密信息场的建立等关键技术。实现了在实体模型表面曲率较大和厚度较小的局部区域进行协调加密,可以获得与实体模型边界吻合良好的全六面体协调网格,适合于工程问题的有限元分析计算。若干复杂实体模型算例表明,该算法实用性强,效果良好。 相似文献

Reverse engineering is a methodology for constructing com-puter- aided design (CAD) models of physical parts by digitising
an existing part, creating a computer model and then using it to manufacture the component. When a digitised part is to be
manufactured by means of rapid prototyping machines such as stereolithography apparatus (SLA) and selective laser sintering
equipment (SLS), etc., it is not necessary to construct the CAD model of a digitised part. This can be achieved by the proposed
novel method which can construct an STL file (the de facto file format for rapid prototyping machines) directly from digitised

Reverse engineering has been widely used for the shape reconstruction of an object without CAD data and typical steps include
the scanning of a clay or wood model and the generation of manufacturing data such as an STL file.
A new approach to remove point data with Delaunay triangulation is introduced to deal with the size problems of the STL file
and the difficulties in the operation of the rapid prototyping (RP) process. The selection of a group of triangles, based
on the angle, is used for a robust and reliable implementation of the Delaunay triangulation method. The developed software
enables the user to specify the criteria for the selection of the group of triangles by the angle between triangles, the percentage
of reduced triangles, and the allowable area.
This approach can be used to reduce the measuring data from the laser scanner, thus save the handling time of point data during
the modelling process and is useful for verifying and slicing the STL model during the RP process. 相似文献

The STL file, which is de facto standard for the rapid prototyping industries, has too large a file size. This paper proposes
an improved interface between CAD and rapid prototyping systems, i.e. a CS (compressed STL) file that has very low data storage
redundancies and is completely compatible with the STL file. The CS file is about a quarter of the size of the original binary
STL file, without any model information loss. This is very suitable for file transferring via the Internet. Removing coordinate
data of duplicate vertices, bit-compression technology, and a comparison of the size and compressed performance of the STL
and the CS are also discussed.

随着坐标测量设备的发展,获取海量包含被测物体更多细节的数据已非常方便,但复杂且冗余的数据模型既对计算机的存储容量、处理速度、绘制速度以及传输效率等提出很高的要求,又在一定程度上影响制造企业响应市场的快速性。研究快速原型制造的数据模型简化处理,首先,依据网格简化的特点,提出一种快速重建STL拓扑信息的新算法;然后,在总结现有三角形折叠简化算法简化过程的基础上,提出一种改进的基于三角形折叠的网格简化算法;最后,通过自行开发的数据模型简化处理系统实现该算法,并例举示例进行验证。实验结果表明,所提出的简化算法能够很好地简化光滑平坦区域,同时对曲率变化较大的局部区域简化效果也比较明显。 相似文献

Direct integration of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping removes two intermediate steps of surface fitting from point
cloud data and STL file generation from CAD models. Therefore errors introduced due to surface fitting and triangulations
are eliminated and also the process of STL data validation and repair is avoided. Intermediate point based curve model (IPCM)
method is one of the promising approaches for direct integration of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping however this
approach has the limitation that it cannot handle objects, which result in multiple contoured slices. Moreover, IPCM based
method is implemented with layers of constant thickness slices, and adaptive slicing with this method is not attempted. The
present work is an attempt towards improving the capabilities of IPCM based method by overcoming the above-mentioned two limitations.
The new system developed here has been tested on many parts, which demonstrates the capability of the proposed system.

为满足CAD软件与快速成形领域的数据交换需要,提出了一种Parasolid数据的STL变换方法。利用Parasolid建模核心的PK-TOPOL-facet()函数将Parasolid模型按STL文件规则进行三角网格化,通过返回的拓扑信息构建三角面片与它的顶点和法向量的拓扑关系,并由此生成了STL文件。应用实例和Solidworks软件诊断表明,采用该方法可以将Parasolid文件变换为STL文件,生成的STL模型中无错误面和缝隙存在。 相似文献

通过CT扫描,获得牙列图像的原始数据,再通过医用处理软件Mimics对所得的数据进行处理与转换,对牙列进行三维重建.然后再在Geomagic软件对模型进行修补,光顺等处理,使之尽量与病人的组织完全贴合,并转化为快速成型机能够识别的STL文件格式.最后在快速成型机上做出病人的组织模型. 相似文献

随着计算机技术的发展,反求工程技术和快速原型技术的结合日趋紧密,纯复制的反求工程已不再适应市场发展的需要,在产品的设计和制造阶段都需要具备创新环节的反求工程技术的支持。提出综合优化的方法:对扫描后获取的离散扫描点进行平面的三角剖分及环域间的三角剖分,生成STL文件格式,并结合环域划分风格的特点,使用最小权和最小内角最大化相融合的方法,实现二维优化:当二维坐标释放到空间后会破坏三角形形状,影响模型的质量,用增加点的方法,得到三维优化后的原产品模型的STL文件格式。在布尔运算的基础上,通过对反求模型的三角网格进行任意叠加和任意截取,产生新产品的STL文件格式;对新产品进行总体形状控制、过渡圆角处理等空间优化工作,最终实现新产品创新,缩短了产品的开发周期,降低了开发成本。 相似文献

Stereolithography (STL) is the prevailing technology in rapid prototyping (RP) applications. The STL process involves mesh
triangulation of a sculptured object from a CAD model and then the extraction of cross-sections from the mesh model. In most
current systems, the resulting model suffers from topological problems, such as degenerate facets, undesired holes, or flipped
normals, which lead to invalid cross-sections that cannot be manufactured as layers. This paper proposes a hybrid system that
takes advantage of structured and unstructured mesh geometry in order to optimise the RP process and make it more robust and
accurate. The system has been developed as part of a joint project between the 3S Laboratory at Grenoble University, France
and the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and CAD at the Technion, Israel. Within the system, a constrained mesh simplification

STL format is widely used as a de facto industry standard in the rapid prototyping industry due to its simplicity and robustness. However, on account of its shortcomings and inadequacy in applications, many interface alternatives have been brought forward. In this paper, a new scheme is proposed to enhance the approximation accuracy and to extend functions of STL by means of introducing additional feature and attribute codes into STL format. The geometry feature code describes a tetrahedron based on the STL triangular facet, which provides better approximation to the object surface covering. The attribute code attaches attributes of object surfaces such as colours and markers to STL triangular facets. Moreover, the enhanced STL also shares the structure of binary STL format by filling feature and attribute codes into its blanks, and therefore is compatible with STL. Compared with STL, the enhanced STL provides not only higher accuracy with the same file size and compatible format, but also colour and marker functions for rapid prototyping. 相似文献

This paper presents a non-uniform, periodic closed B-spline approximation algorithm for the fabrication of a medical pelvic
model, based on rapid prototyping, and also gives the finite element evaluation of the pelvic model. Rapid prototyping (RP),
when used in fabricating medical prosthesis, has a strict requirement for closeness and impermeability of STL files. Incorrect
data structure in STL files will cause the subsequent slicing process not to proceed. The non-uniform periodic closed B-spline
curve approximation method was applied to processing CT data. The precision and size of STL files was improved to optimize
the RP model of the pelvis. Finally, the model of the pelvis was evaluated with the finite element method. Results suggest
that a high similarity has been achieved in terms of shape, size and biomechanical properties of the pelvic model and the
normal one, which validates our argument that rapid prototyping with non-uniform, periodic closed B-spline algorithm is suitable
for the fabrication of a pelvic model, which will prove to be significant in the design of pelvic prostheses . 相似文献

针对基于差分的铸造CAE系统生成体网格时图像显示呈锯齿状这一问题,提出了一种基于STL面片模型的无锯齿网格剖分算法。算法采用一种新的组件式有符号距离场(CSDF)模型来对多个STL实体进行剖分。该模型采用了一种稳健的容错方法,能够对不封闭、缺点、少面的STL实体进行正确的剖分;使用BSP树来加速计算每个网格中心点距离铸件、砂芯、铸型以及浇注系统等STL几何实体的最小距离,并规定位于内部的中心点的距离为负,外部为正,表面为零,使得每一个网格点有一个表示材质的数据,同时还有几个不同的距离值;材质数据用来表示物理属性,而距离值用来进行STL实体的布尔运算,以实现组件式的网格剖分和几何模型的重建,获得光滑的后处理图像。实例表明:算法可行,可实现组件式的几何实体无锯齿网格剖分,且剖分结果能进行数值计算。 相似文献
