介绍了交叉相位调制(XPM)效应的概念,数值分析了其对波分复用(WDM)系统中一阶偏振模色散(PMD)补偿性能的影响.文章基于两信道WDM系统PMD效应模型,数值模拟了XPM对一阶PMD补偿性能的影响,对比分析了考虑XPM前后系统的性能.文中给出了采用补偿后考虑XPM以及不考虑XPM时信道的眼图,可以看出XPM在一定程度上降低了眼图的张开度,削弱了一阶PMD补偿效果. 相似文献

本文研究了交叉相位调制(XPM)对DWDM数字基带主干传输网性的影响,建立了表征XPM效应对任意调制信号在色散信道中传输的指标损伤的等效系统函数模型,并据此推导出了不同系统参数条件下(基带信号速率,波长信道间隔,复用信道数)计算XPM导致和系统光功率代价的计算公式,通过数值模拟计算证明了在基带信号速率高(>2.5Gbit/s),波长信道间隔窄(-1nm),复用信道数多(>8)的条件下XPM效应将成为限制系统性能的主要非线性因素。 相似文献

在相干光纤通信系统中,为了提高接收端的相位追踪算法性能,提出了一种相位追踪算法——基于改进的判决导向递归最小二乘(DD-RLS)算法,将改进的DD-RLS算法和非线性前补算法结合应用于WDM相干光纤系统中抑制交叉相位调制(XPM)。传输仿真结果表明:该算法能够有效抑制系统中的XPM效应,在1000 km的11个信道的波分复用(WDM)系统传输中,相比传统DD-RLS算法,该算法能够更好地追踪相干WDM系统中的非线性相位噪声,信号Q~2值提高了0.8 dB。 相似文献

研究了交叉相位调制对密集波分复用系统性能的影响 ,分析了干扰信道为正弦调制时交叉相位调制效应对考察信道相位的影响 ,在此基础上 ,建立任意信号通过具有交叉相位调制效应的信道时的系统模型 ,并将该模型应用于基带不归零码数字信号传输的情形 ,计算了由交叉相位调制引起的系统光功率代价。结果表明 ,交叉相位调制效应对高速率调制系统的性能具有一定的影响 ,应该在系统设计时的功率预算中予以考虑。 相似文献

The spectral characteristics of cross-phase modulation (XPM) in multispan intensity-modulation direct-detection (IM-DD) optical systems are investigated, both experimentally and theoretically. XPM crosstalk levels and its spectral features are found to be strongly dependent on fiber dispersion and optical signal channel spacing. Interference between XPM-induced crosstalk effects created in different amplified fiber spans is also found to be important to determine the overall frequency response of XPM crosstalk effects. XPM crosstalk between channels with different data rates is evaluated. The crosstalk level between higher and lower bit rate channels is found to be similar to that between two lower bit rate channels. The effect of dispersion compensation on XPM crosstalk in multispan optical systems is discussed and per span dispersion compensation was found to be the most effective way to minimize the effect of XPM crosstalk 相似文献

以泵浦探测波结构为例,针对多周期色散管理系统,研究了色散作用下交叉相位调制产生的相位移动,推导了多段放大线路中色散作用下交叉相位调制产生的相移表达式,对该表达式进行简化得到了特定线路中色散作用下交叉相位调制所致的相移表达式。研究表明,线路总相移正比于传输线路中的光纤段数,随着调制频率的提高,相移量总体趋势逐渐减小,局部出现极大极小波动,且波动周期随走离参量增大逐渐减小,在高频段色散对交叉相位调制产生的相移产生显著影响,随着调制频率的提高,色散对相移的贡献正负交替变化,解析和仿真结论能较好吻合。 相似文献

In this paper, a dynamic optical arbitrary waveform generator (OAWG) based on cross phase modulation (XPM) is proposed. According to the characteristics of XPM, the nonlinear phase shift of signal can be changed along with the pump power. The amplitude of signal can be changed by controlling the phase shift at one arm of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) using XPM effect between signal and pump. Therefore, the phase and amplitude of the optical frequency comb (OFC) can be controlled by two pump arrays. As a result, different kinds of waveforms can be synthesized. Due to the ultrafast response of XPM, the generated waveform could be dynamically updated with an ultrafast frequency. The waveform fidelity is affected by the updating frequency. 相似文献

We measure the cross talk in a wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) system arising from cross-phase modulation (XPM) in an L-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA). This effect has the potential of becoming the dominant nonlinear crosstalk mechanism in L-band WDM systems using standard fiber.
