接入网已成为通信网进一步发展的瓶颈,光纤宽带接入将成为趋势。光收发一体模块是光纤接入网中不可缺少的核心部件。介绍了光收发模块的结构原理、关键技术、LD/PD组件、光纤耦合及封装工艺等。结合光模块测试系统和方法,给出作者所做课题研制的1.25G光模块测试结果,最后对光收发模块的发展方向进行讨论。 相似文献

通过有源实时监控系统,采用手动和自动相结合的方法,将光纤、silica基阵列波导光栅(AWG)、1310nm激光器(LD)平台和1490nm、1550nm探测器(PD)平台用紫外固化胶混合集成为一新型单纤三向器。在耦合集成过程中,LD在15mA偏置电流下,三向器的上行出纤功率大约为-4dBm,LD和波导的耦合效率大约40%;当三向器输入1550nm光功率为1mW,PD在2.6V反向偏压下,下行输出光电流大约为76μA,波导和PD的耦合效率大约为42%。三向器中采用了对管PD集成方法。 相似文献

本文介绍了一种带有自聚焦透镜的屏蔽式LD活动耦合器。给出了LD耦合器的设计要点,其中包括了耦合光路的计算和结构设计,也给出了耦合效率的测量结果。由于LD耦合器采用了自聚焦透镜,耦合效率可达40~50%。所使用的光纤是标准渐变型光纤(芯径/包层直径为50/125μm,NA=0.2)。 相似文献

半导体激光器(LD)与单模光纤(SMF)耦合时,峰值功率搜索算法是实现自动对准的关键.对LD和SMF端面耦合特性进行了分析,进而设计了基于抛物线拟合原理的光纤自动对准算法,给出了算法的具体实现方法.实验证明,与传统的爬山法相比,这种算法由于减少了采样点数而缩短了搜索时间,收敛速度快,从而提高了自动对准的速度. 相似文献

A high-power, high-sensitivity planar lightwave circuit (PLC) module, comprising a laser diode (LD) and a photodiode (PD) surface mounted on a PLC platform, has been realized by a novel passive alignment technique. We used a spot-size transformed LD and a corner-illuminated PD to form a highly efficient optical coupling between the devices and a PLC waveguide. We used the unique marker alignment method to ensure accurate positioning of them. The positioning precision achieved in the lateral direction was within 1 μm for the LD's and within 10 μm for the PD's. The rotational precision was within 0.4° for both chips. We realized high power operation (>8 mW) with a high receiver sensitivity (0.3 A/W). This is the first report of greater than 500-mW CW kink-free single transverse-mode operation of 980-nm laser diodes with a weakly index guided buried-stripe type structure. The device exhibited a kink-free level of 545 mW and maximum optical output power of over 650 mW limited by thermal saturation and showed no catastrophic optical damage, in addition, a currently on-going aging test at 350 mW optical output power at 50/spl deg/C has shown stable operation. Using a can-sealed LD, we also fabricated a co-axial type module with a two-lens system and a lensed-fiber. The coupling efficiency between the LD and a single-mode fiber was calculated to be approximately 78% and we have confirmed 300 mW kink-free fiber output operation. These figures are also the highest reported operation levels for 980-nm co-axial type modules. 相似文献

光纤耦合输出的高功率激光二极管(LD)模块作为光纤激光器的抽运源已经得到了广泛应用。为了进一步提高光纤耦合激光二极管输出功率,提出了利用激光二极管输出光束的线偏振特性,采用偏振复用技术,将两只高功率激光二极管输出光束经准直、复合、聚焦的光纤耦合方法。利用光线追迹法,分析了圆柱透镜对激光二极管发散光束的准直特性,并讨论了柱透镜的安装距离对准直性能的影响。根据激光二极管和光纤的相关参数设计了聚焦透镜组。采用这种方法将两只输出波长为980 nm的高功率激光二极管输出光束耦合进数值孔径0.22,芯径100μm的多模光纤中,当工作电流为4.5 A时,光纤激光连续输出功率为6.36 W,耦合效率大于78%。 相似文献

A new method of coupling the light from a laser diode (LD) to a single-mode fiber with large alignment tolerances and without using any coupling lens is presented. A pseudovertical tapered coupler on silicon substrate which has an input aperture of about 100 times the size of the laser waveguide cross section is designed. Results showed that the coupler relaxes the LD placement tolerance and eliminates the use of a coupling lens. The positional tolerance between the LD and taper coupler can be larger than +/- 5 mu m in the xy plane, and +/-1 deg in orientation. 相似文献

Connection loss reduction in ten fiber connectors prepared by the thermally diffused expanded core (TEC) method has been confirmed. The mode field diameters (MFDs) of conventional single mode (SM) fibers were expanded from 9.8 to 13 mu m by thermal treatment considering the influence of loss increase due to fiber axis misalignment. An average connection loss of 0.15 dB for 4-SM-fiber connectors was realized, which was improved by 0.22 dB compared with previous value of 0.37 dB without thermal treatment. The TEC method promises to reduce the coupling loss, which is caused by lateral offset of multifiber connectors, fiber/LD modules, and fiber/waveguide device modules.<> 相似文献
