A rigorous field theory design of a class of rectangular waveguide screen fiIters is presented which achieves improved attenuation in the upper stopband. The method of field expansion into suitable eigenmodes used considers the effects of the finite rectangular E-plane grid thickness and the mutual higher order mode interaction of the single screens. Calculated results up to 55 GHz show that the peak attenuation in the upper stopband for a Ka-band (26-40-GHz) two-resonators filter example with a midband frequency of f/sub 0/= 37 GHz is about 70 dB, whereas its planar circuit single-metal-insert counterpart reaches only about 34 dB. A Ku-band (12- 18-GHz) filter prototype with three metal-etched screens yields a measured passband insertion loss of 0.8 dB at about f/sub 0/= 17 GHz and a measured attenuation in upper stopband of about 50 dB up to 25 GHz. 相似文献

This paper presents design algorithms for hybrid filter banks (HFBs) for high-speed, high-resolution conversion between analog and digital signals. The HFB is an unconventional class of filter bank that employs both analog and digital filters. When used in conjunction with an array of slower speed converters, the HFB improves the speed and resolution of the conversion compared with the standard time-interleaved array conversion technique. The analog and digital filters in the HFB must be designed so that they adequately isolate the channels and do not introduce reconstruction errors that limit the resolution of the system. To design continuous-time analog filters for HFBs, a discrete-time-to-continuous-time (“Z-to-S”) transform is developed to convert a perfect reconstruction (PR) discrete-time filter bank into a near-PR HFB; a computationally efficient algorithm based on the fast Fourier transform (FFT) is developed to design the digital filters for HFBs. A two-channel HFB is designed with sixth-order continuous-time analog filters and length 64 FIR digital filters that yield -86 dB average aliasing error. To design discrete-time analog filters (e.g., switched-capacitors or charge-coupled devices) for HFBs, a lossless factorization of a PR discrete-time filter bank is used so that the reconstruction error is not affected by filter coefficient quantization. A gain normalization technique is developed to maximize the dynamic range in the finite-precision implementation. A four-channel HFB is designed with 9-bit (integer) filter coefficients. With internal precision limited to the equivalent of 15 bits, the maximum aliasing error is -70 dB, and with the equivalent of 20 bits internal precision, maximum aliasing is -100 dB. In this correspondence, we propose a simple design method for nonuniform integer-decimated filter banks based on a uniform cosine-modulated filter bank. 针对可满足近似完全重构的双通道混合滤波器组,其中高阶数的模拟滤波器一般不容易设计优化。采用遗传算法设计5阶模拟分解滤波器,并基于逆快速傅里叶变换实现数字综合滤波器的设计优化以滤除掉镜像频谱,保证近似完全重构。文中设计了由5阶模拟分解滤波器和32阶数字综合滤波器组成的混合滤波器组,仿真结果表明:可以实现的最大失真误差为4.761 8×10-11dB,平均失真误差为-9.2×10-14dB,最大混叠误差为-154 dB,平均混叠误差为-200 dB,可满足24 bits的模数转换器系统的要求。 相似文献

Design considerations for and measured results of a prototype high-frequency fifth order switched-current bilinear elliptic lowpass filter are presented in this paper. The prototype filter was implemented on a standard 1.2 μm double-metal single-polysilicon CMOS process and occupied a total die area of 1.5 mm2. When clocked at 2 MHz, the filter achieved a passband edge of 350 kHz, a stopband edge of 420 kHz, a passband ripple of 0.6 dB and a minimum stopband attenuation of 26 dB. A planar integrated circuit filter with multiple all-metal inserts and multiple abrupt waveguide step-wall discontinuities is introduced which achieves broadband high attenuation in the second stopband. The design is based on field expansion into suitably normalised eigenmodes which yield directly the modal S-matrix. This theory allows the immediate inclusion of both the higher-order mode interaction at all discontinuities and the finite thickness of the inserts. Computer-optimised design data for a five-resonator Ka-band prototype filter at 27 GHz midband frequency provide a minimum stopband attenuation of 50 dB between 27.5 and 44.5 GHz. 相似文献

In this paper, we present several new properties of the recently introduced interleaved DFT modulated filter bank and an efficient algorithm for designing the filter bank. The periodicity and symmetry properties of the overall transfer function and aliasing transfer functions are stated. Then the design of the filter bank is formulated into a constrained optimization problem that jointly minimizes the overall distortion and aliasing distortion subject to fixed bounds on the stopband energy, transition-band energy, and passband flatness of the prototype filters. The constrained optimization problem is solved by the 2block Gauss-Seidel method, which alternatively optimizes the analysis PF pair and the synthesis PF pair. Since the overall distortion and aliasing distortion are jointly minimized, the proposed algorithm can lead to filter banks with small reconstruction error, even when the filter banks behave with a low redundancy ratio and short PFs. The convergence of the proposed algorithm is proved. Numerical examples and comparisons with the existing method are included to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm. 相似文献

本文提出了一种可用于宽带接收信号近似完全重构的余弦调制滤波器组。首先将滤波器组的设计转化为原型滤波器的设计,利用代价函数保证其通带平稳和阻带衰减,针对已有算法中幅度失真较大的问题,文中利用代价函数保证过渡带具有平方根余弦滚降特性,并且为了避免加强目标函数约束所带来的误差,对通带截止频率进行调整使得原型滤波器的3dB通带截止频率等于理想滤波器的通带截止频率。文中还推导了以滤波器系数为变量,代价函数的闭合解表达式,并针对滤波器设计复杂度高的问题,采用了基于迭代求解原型滤波器的方法。实验仿真表明,该方法得到的调制滤波器组较已有设计方法具有更好的性能。 相似文献

This paper presents a novel microstrip lowpass filter with sharp roll-off and ultra-wide stopband using stepped-impedance resonator and bended transmission line structure. The filter includes stepped-impedance prototype filter and stepped-impedance compact microstrip resonator cells that are combined in one structure. The proposed filter has good specifications such as sharp roll-off, ultra-wide stopband and low insertion loss. The transition band is approximately 0.25 GHz from 1.75 to 2 GHz with corresponding attenuation levels of ?3 and ?40 dB. The attenuation level in the stopband is better than ?20 dB that is achieved from 1.94 to 23 GHz, and the insertion loss in the passband is less than 0.4 dB. The proposed filter is fabricated and measured, and the simulation and measurement results are found to be in good agreement with each other. 相似文献

A calibration methodology for the optimized minimum inductor (OMI) bandpass filter (BPF) to compensate passive components' inherent loss, such as resistances and reactances, is presented. OMI BPF prevails conventional elliptic and Chebyshev BPFs by introducing fewer inductors for the same stopband rejection requirement. Given design specifications (bandwidth, stopband rejection) at a specific center frequency, the calibration flow optimizes the approach to offset the inaccuracy of center frequency, bandwidth, and stopband rejection due to the discrepancy between the actual and ideal prototype passive components. Two OMI BPF designs before and after calibration are presented for demonstration and comparison. They are 1) a 3rd order centered at 2.388 GHz, 35.54% fractional bandwidth (FBW), 29.97 dB stopband rejection, and 2) a 7th order centered at 2.333 GHz, 17.40% FBW, 62.29 dB stopband rejection. 相似文献

This paper presents the design of a new dual-band filter with very wide upper stopband. The proposed circuit offers a simple and compact structure with low insertion loss. Spurious suppression is achieved by using specially designed coupling and resonator sections. Moreover, a systematic analysis is applied to the proposed topology with closed-form design equations derived. For verification purposes, the measured performance of a microstrip filter operating at 1 and 2 GHz is shown with stopband attenuation of greater than 20 dB over the frequency range from 2.5 to 8.0 GHz. 相似文献

Several current applications related to signal compression and representation and high-speed transmission require very selective filter banks/transmultiplexers. A possible solution is to employ the cosine-modulated filter banks/transmultiplexers (CMFBTs) where the prototype filters satisfy demanding constraints with respect to both the total stopband energy and maximum stopband ripple. This work proposes an efficient procedure to design nearly-perfect reconstruction CMFBT prototype filters with peak-constrained least-squares characteristics using a modified weighted least-squares algorithm. Substantial flexibility is added in the design of the magnitude response of the prototype filter, ranging from minimum stopband energy to minimum stopband ripple, which may be required in many applications. Some constraints are imposed to the CMFBTs in order to control the direct transfer and aliasing distortion functions, related to the intercarrier and intersymbol interferences. Algebraic simplifications are also provided on the overall objective function and associated constraints, leading to substantial reduction on the computational burden of the optimization process. The procedure is proven to be very powerful in designing CMFBT systems satisfying multiple constraints as indicated by numerical examples. 相似文献

针对信道化原型滤波器设计复杂度较高的问题,提出一种满足线性相位要求的原型滤波器频域插值设计算法。该算法采用无约束迭代优化办法获得了阻带衰减较高的低阶滤波器模型,然后根据所推导的频域插值模型构建满足线性相位特性的原型滤波器频谱,最后通过快速傅里叶逆变换获得了满足信道化滤波器组完全重构特性要求的原型滤波器。所提设计算法将频域插值与迭代优化相结合,有效地解决了设计高阻带衰减的原型滤波器时待优化参数数目较大的问题,并且不会产生镜像频谱,省去了镜像抑制滤波器的设计。仿真结果表明,所提算法相比传统的时域插值设计算法具有显著的性能改善,并且降低了设计复杂度。 相似文献

本文进一步研究了应用全通滤波器实现均匀N带滤波器组的设计理论。我们提出了一种两级全通型滤波器组的结构,第一级为周期性镜像半带滤波器,第二级为两个N/2带的带通滤波器组。第一级的阻带恰好可以抑制第二级的不可控带,实现了全通型多相滤波器的连续阻带持性。并且给出了综合滤波器组的实现方案,可以使整个分析/综合系统完全消除混叠和幅度失真。最后本文给出了一个实例。 相似文献

为了实现无线通信系统的小型化,设计了一种同时具有滤波和功分功能的器件.将传统Wilkinson功分器中的两个四分之一波长传输线替换为两个具有带通响应的滤波器.同时,为了实现两个端口之间良好的隔离,将一个电阻安放在两个输出端口之间.利用奇偶模的分析方法,推导出了该滤波功分器的设计公式.实验结果表明,该器件的3 dB带宽达到了62%,在低频段和高频段的抑制度分别达到了38.4 dB和31.4 dB(2.67f0),该器件非常适用于小型化无线通信系统. 相似文献

This paper develops a novel microstrip bandpass filter with ultra-wide stopband. With the assistance of open stubs and interdigital capacitors, a very wide stopband with a sufficient rejection level can be achieved easily. Detailed design and synthesis procedures are provided. Moreover, the electromagnetic simulator IE3D is used, and the prototype of the bandpass filter is fabricated and measured.
