A statistical theory of light scattering from deformed isotropic and textured heterogeneous polymer materials is formulated. Two types of textured structures are analyzed: assemblies of optically isotropic and anisotropic rods and a spatially anisotropic distribution of isotropic spherical inclusion centers. The small-angle Hv light-scattering patterns are calculated. The appearance of scattering from isotropic rods and spheres in deformed materials has been demonstrated. The changes of the Hv scattering patterns as a function of elongation and strucuture parameters are discussed. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A rodlike barium ferrite precursor with an average size of 0.72~19.6 μm and aspect ratio of 2.6~8.3 has been successfully prepared in an inverse microemulsion consisting of isooctane, cetanyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), n-C4H9OH and water with ammonia and ammonium oxalate as precipitants. On sintering at 780(C, the rodlike precursor particles could be transformed into rodlike particles of barium ferrite(BaFe12O19) with the average size and aspect ratio of 0.69~18.2 μm and 2.3~5.8, respectively. The effect of volume ratio of aqueous phase to oleic phase, the starting concentrations of metal ions and the starting concentration ratios of metal ions to precipitants were investigated.  相似文献

The diffusion coefficient of disodiumn-decane phosphonate micelles was studied by polarography at 25°C in NaCl and in NaOH solutions, and the size and aggregation number of the micelles was computed as a function of Na+ concentration. All other conditions being equal, the addition of NaCl produces micelles with an aggregation number one order of magnitude larger than the NaOH addition. This is due to the increase of the effective charge per micellized head group produced by the reaction of OH- with the hydrolized head groups which are mainly present as-PO3H- in the micellar Stern layer.  相似文献

本文继续前一篇文章讨论描述刚性聚合物稀溶液流变性质的多棒刚杆分子模型,计算了应力发展的非定常剪切流动,结果表明,η~+将有所希望的“过冲”现象,且在无因次时间常数τ≥5后,流变性质达到定常均匀剪切流的结果,同时亦可方便地导得多球刚杆分子模型和无水学相互作用的刚性哑铃模型的结果。这些结果表明,此模型是较为完善的描述刚性聚合物稀溶液的分子模型。本文还对W_e≤0.7的情况作了深入的分析,比较了各阶近似解的计算结果。表明在W_e≤0.7时,用二阶近似解可代替高阶近似解计算,不会造成很大的误差,但可大大缩短计算时间。  相似文献

Micelle size and shape of dodecyldimethylammonium bromide have been determined by measurement of light scattering from its aqueous NaBr solutions. In water and in the presence of NaBr up to 0.07 M, the Debye plots give straight lines with positive slopes, and spherical micelles having molecular weight less than 30 000 are formed. At higher NaBr concentrations, the Debye plots decrease with increasing micelle concentration, indicating the aggregation of the primary spherical micelles into larger secondary micelles. The molecular weight and the radius of gyration of the secondary micelles increase with increasing NaBr concentration, and the relation between molecular weight and radius of gyration suggests that they are rodlike and flexible. Linear logarithmic relations between micelle molecular weight and ionic strength hold for spherical and rodlike micelles, respectively, and the threshold concentration of NaBr for the sphere-rod transition is located at 0.07 M. The spherical micelle of dodecyldimethylammonium ions has a size more than 20 surfactant ions larger in NaBr solutions than in NaCl solutions, and their rodlike micelle has a shorter length in NaBr solutions than in NaCl solutions, when compared at an identical aggregation number, indicating 2 more surfactant ions in its cross-section.  相似文献

通过可控水热法,制备出层状、花形和棒状钛酸铋(Bi4Ti3O12,BIT)纳米结构。通过X射线衍射(XRD)和场发射扫描电子显微镜(FESEM)观测其结构和形貌特征。XRD图显示,所制备的样品为层状钙钛矿结构。FESEM结果表明,通过控制水热过程的反应参数可以得到不同形貌的纳米粉体。紫外-可见漫反射光谱(UV-Vis DRS)表明BIT样品的带隙能约为2.63~2.95 eV。利用可见光(λ>420 nm)照射下的甲基橙降解实验评价了BIT样品的光催化性能。结果表明,BIT的光催化活性比掺氮TiO2(N-TiO2)高得多。所制备的层状BIT纳米结构光催化效率最高,经可见光照射360 min,甲基橙溶液的降解率可达95.0%。同时还研究了结构和形貌对不同条件下制备的BIT样品光催化活性的影响。  相似文献

Homogeneous precursor/precursor solutions with various compositions were obtained with appreciably high solid contents in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone from soluble poly(amic diethyl ester) precursors of rodlike poly(p-phenylene biphenyltetracarboximide) (BPDA-PDA) and flexible poly(4,4′-oxydiphenylene biphenyltetracarboximide) (BPDA-ODA), which are hydrolytically more stable as well as more soluble than the corresponding poly(amic acid)s being equilibrated with the constituent monomers. Both optical microscopic and light scattering measurements showed that the dried precursor blend films and resultant polyimide composite films were optically transparent, regardless of compositions and process conditions. The composite films showed a single Tg behavior. However, for the composite of 30 wt % BPDA-PDA dispersed in the matrix of 70 wt % BPDA-ODA, a smectic crystalline-like aggregation of the BPDA-PDA component was detected on wide-angle x-ray diffraction patterns, indicative of microscopic phase separation between the two components. This phase separation was not detected on the optical microscopy, light scattering, and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis because of their resolution limits: Optical microscopy has a resolution of submicrometers, whereas dynamic mechanical thermal analysis and light scattering have a resolution of ca. 50 Å. Therefore, it is speculated that in the composite films BPDA-PDA and BPDA-ODA polyimide molecules have demixed on the scale of a few nanometers. The mean long periodicity, which was estimated from the small-angle x-ray scattering pattern, varied from 134 to 170 Å as the content of BPDA-ODA component increased. Due to its characteristics of noncontact, non-damage, high flux, and easy-to-achieve flexible manipulation, optically induced dielectrophoresis (ODEP) technology has been employed to manipulate microspherical biological particles, including separation, enrichment, capture, arrangement, and fusion. However, in nature, biomolecules are morphologically diverse, and some of them are rodlike. In order to illustrate the electrodynamics of rodlike particles under the action of ODEP, a transient multi-physical field coupling model of ODEP chip under the hypothesis of electrical double layer thin layer was established in this paper. The arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian method is used to track single-rod particle in the strong coupled flow field and electric field simultaneously. The influence of several key factors, including the applied alternating current (AC) electric voltage, the width of optical bright area, and the initial position of particle, on the trajectory of particle center was analyzed in positive dielectrophoresis (DEP) action and negative DEP action, respectively. Especially, the planar motion process of rodlike particles was discussed together. The research results reveal the electrodynamics behavior of rodlike particles based on the action of ODEP, which may provide theoretical support for the further design of rodlike biological cells manipulation chip based on AC ODEP technology in the future.  相似文献

Angular dependence of light scattering from aqueous NaCl solutions of dimethyloleylamine oxide has been measured in the presence of NaCl from 5×10–4 M to 10–1 M at 25 °C. The molecular weight and radius of gyration of micelles increase with increasing micelle concentration and reach constant values, suggesting occurrence of the sphere-rod equilibrium dependent on the micelle concentration. With increasing NaCl concentration, rodlike micelles are larger in molecular weight and become longer. The micelles formed at NaCl concentrations higher than 10–3 M are nearly monodisperse when the micelle concentration is high.Rodlike micelles of dimethyloleylamine oxide in 10–2 M and 5 × 10–2 M NaCl solutions have molecular weights of 4,760,000 and 6,900,000, respectively, and behave as semi-flexible or wormlike chains. In 5×10–2 M NaCl they have a contour length of 5750 Å and a persistence length of 1760 Å. These micelle parameters correspond to the end-to-end distance of 3780 Å and the number of Kuhn's statistical segments of 1.64. The large aggregation number of the rodlike micelles is induced by the strong cohesion of long hydrocarbon chains in solution, and their flexibility is caused by the hydration of amine oxide groups.  相似文献
