In this paper, we address a multiple robot rearrangement problem. For different applications, problem-solving methods should be able to cope with various working environments. We focus on small working environments in particular with a concentrated arrangement of objects and narrow corridors. In this type of environment, the rearrangement problem can be very complicated because of high computational cost for priority settings to prevent robots from colliding and constraints related to the order of transportation. We propose a practical algorithm that divides a complicated rearrangement problem into simple subproblems. In our method, the rearrangement problem can be reduced to a project scheduling problem using a territorial approach. The application of a territorial approach can relax the complexity of priority settings, but yields new kinds of constraints at the same time. We propose an extended project scheduling problem solver to address these constraints. The solver is constructed on the basis of meta-heuristic strategy and generates the order of transportation that observes constraints. The proposed method is tested in a simulated environment with up to four mobile robots and 12 movable objects. Simulation results show the effectiveness of our method with respect to the applicability and a reasonable calculation time.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with one component of an integrated project scheduling system, viz., developing project schedules using time cost trade offs. The problem of time constraint is tackled in two basic ways, (1) network flow algorithms and (2) a heuristic algorithm. Experiences with different methods using several different problems will be discussed. The development of a useable system will be described. The system can be used to solve problems of over 300 activities on a 64K microcomputer using BASIC.  相似文献

High throughput parallel organic synthesis is now a common practice in discovery chemistry research. Argonaut's modular reaction cassette technology is aimed at parallel synthesis of focused small molecule libraries. The Trident™ automated platform has been designed to perform high throughput organic synthesis using this modular reaction cassette under truly inert conditions and in a robust, reproducible manner. This enables one to generate high quality libraries of small molecules and to access chemistry not normally amenable to automation.Recently we have introduced a Sample Processing Station (SPS), which enhances the upstream and downstream sample handling capabilities of the Trident™ platform. Enhanced software capabilities also provide the Trident™ synthesizer with powerful reaction development and optimization capabilities. Application of this technology in the synthesis of a small library of 1,2-diarylbenzimidazoles using solution-phase chemistry is presented. A number of product purification and isolation protocols using polymer-bound scavengers are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

According to current knowledge and understanding, nuclear fusion can be developed to a sustainable energy technology. Fuel is abundant and key points for fusion power production and alpha particle heating have already been demonstrated. The next step device, international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER), is designed to demonstrate net fusion power production and to address most of the technological issues on the way to a power reactor. There is, however, a series of materials problems related to the plasma facing components and to the structural materials which cannot be fully addressed by ITER. These developments are covered by long term development of radiation resistant low activation materials, heat sink materials, plasma facing protection materials as well as functional tritium barrier materials.

A brief survey of the current status of materials development for plasma facing applications is given in the present paper. To provide materials which can sustain the severe loading conditions in a fusion environment is a key issue in developing fusion as an economic energy technology without long lived radioactive waste.  相似文献
