Ion dynamics in laser-produced collisionless perpendicular shock: one-dimensional particle-in-cell simulation

Recently, perpendicular shocks have been generated in laboratory experiments by the interaction between a laser-produced supersonic plasma flow and a magnetized ambient plasma.
