In the present study we made an effort to deploy eco-friendly synthesized reduced graphene oxide/Lanthanum Alluminate nanocomposites (RGO-LaAlO3) and Lanthanum Alluminate (LaAlO3) as adsorbents to remove dye from the synthetic media. XRD, SEM, BET surface area and EDX have been used to characterize the above-mentioned adsorbents. The impacts of different factors like adsorbent dosage, the concentration of adsorbate and PH on adsorption were studied. The best fit linear and nonlinear equations for the adsorption isotherms and kinetic models had been examined. The sum of the normalized errors and the coefficient of determination were used to determine the best fit model. The experimental data were more aptly fitted for nonlinear forms of isotherms and kinetic equations. Pseudo-second-order and Freundlich isotherm model fits the equilibrium data satisfactorily. Methyl orange (MO) has been used as model dye pollutant and maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 469.7 and 702.2 mg g?1 for LaAlO3 and RGO-LaAlO3, respectively. 相似文献

Multi-carrier waveforms have several advantages over single-carrier waveforms for radar communication. Employing multi-carrier complementary phase-coded (MCPC) waveforms in radar applications has recently attracted significant attention. MCPC radar signals take advantage of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing properties, and several authors have explored the use of MCPC signals and the difficulties associated with their implementation. The sidelobe level and peak-to-mean-envelope-power ratio (PMEPR) are the key issues that must be addressed to improve the performance of radar signals. We propose a scheme that applies pattern-based scaling and geometric progression methods to enhance sidelobe and PMEPR levels in MCPC radar signals. Numerical results demonstrate the improvement of sidelobe and PMEPR levels in the proposed scheme. Additionally, autocorrelations are obtained and analyzed by applying the proposed scheme in extensive simulation experiments. 相似文献

Four novel segmented polyurethanes (PUs) based on4,4′‐{oxy‐1,4‐diphenyl bis(nitromethylidine)}diphenol (ODBNMD) diol with different diisocyanates such as 4,4′‐diphenylmethane diisocyanate, toluene 2,4‐diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and hexamethylene diisocyanate have been prepared by solution method. The structures of ODBNMD and PUs have been confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (1H‐NMR and 13C‐NMR), UV‐visible, and fluorescence spectroscopies. The segmented PUs were further characterized by thermogravimetry (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. FTIR confirmed hydrogen bonding interactions, whereas TGA and DSC suggested that introduction of aromatic/phenyl ring in the main chain considerably increased the thermal stability. POLYM. ENG. Fracture toughness is the ability of a component containing a flow to resist fracture. In the current study, the Ball indentation (BI) test technique, which is well acknowledged as an alternative approach to evaluate mechanical properties of materials due to its semi-nondestructive, fast, and high accurate qualities is used to estimate damage and the fracture toughness for copper samples subjected to varying levels of creep and fatigue. The indentation fracture toughness shows the degradation of Cu samples when they are subjected to different creep conditions. Axial fatigue cycling increases the strength at the mid-gauge section compared to other regions of the samples due to initial strain hardening. The advancement of indentation depth with indentation fatigue cycles experiences transient stage, i.e., jump in indentation depth has been observed, which may be an indication of failure and followed by a steady state with almost constant depth propagation with indentation cycles. 相似文献

The splitting of water in the presence of ordinary and nano TiO2 was carried out using hydrocarbon as a dual agent and solar energy as a light source for these experiments. The hydrogen gas evolved was tested and measured using downward displacement of water. The observed results show that more hydrogen was evolved when nano TiO2 was used as catalyst due to the larger surface area of the nano material. The splitting of sea water yields more hydrogen compared with ordinary water due to the presence of electron donating sodium ions in water. The added hydrocarbon plays a dual role as electron donor and as a trapping agent, which enhances the production of hydrogen to a greater extent compared with the regular donors such as olefin. The influence of varying the CaO/MgO ratio on the structure and thermal properties of CaO–MgO–SiO2–P2O5–CaF2 glasses was studied in a series of eight glass compositions in the glass forming region of diopside (CaMgSi2O6)–fluorapatite [Ca5(PO4)3F]–wollastonite (CaSiO3) ternary system. The melt-quenched glasses were characterized for their structure by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and magic angle spinning (MAS)-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Silicon is predominantly present as Q2 (Si) species, while phosphorus tends to coordinate in orthophosphate environment. The sintering and crystallization parameters of the glasses were obtained from differential thermal analysis (DTA) while crystalline phase fractions in the sintered glass–ceramics were analyzed by X-ray diffraction adjoined with Rietveld refinement. Diopside, fluorapatite, wollastonite and pseudowollastonite crystallized as the main crystalline phases in all the glass–ceramics with their content varying with respect to variation in CaO/MgO ratio in glasses. The implications of structure and sintering behaviour of glasses on their bioactivity were discussed. 相似文献

Notched three-point bend specimens (TPB) were tested under crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) control at a rate of 0.0004 mm/s
and the entire fracture process was simulated using a regular triangular two-dimensional lattice network only over the expected
fracture process zone width. The rest of the beam specimen was discretised by a coarse triangular finite element mesh. The
discrete grain structure of the concrete was generated assuming the grains to be spherical. The load versus CMOD plots thus
simulated agreed reasonably well with the experimental results. Moreover, acoustic emission (AE) hits were recorded during
the test and compared with the number of fractured lattice elements. It was found that the cumulative AE hits correlated well
with the cumulative fractured lattice elements at all load levels thus providing a useful means for predicting when the micro-cracks
form during the fracturing process, both in the pre-peak and in the post-peak regimes. 相似文献
