A rearranged tpr-met oncogene was identified in a MNNG-transformed human Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) cell line (ASKMN). A 2016 bp cDNA was cloned and sequenced, disclosing an ORF with a coding capacity for a 523 aa protein. The sequence of this tpr-met cDNA was very similar to that previously reported in another human MNNG-transformed cell line (MNNG-HOS).  相似文献

It has been shown that coherent optical fiber receivers with a two-filter structure (TFS) consisting of a wide-band IF filter and a narrow-band postdetection filter are less susceptible to the influence of phase noise. However, the expanded IF bandwidth required to achieve optimum sensitivity performance is large, particularly in multichannel FSK systems. Forward error control coding can relax the laser linewidth requirement and improve receiver sensitivity. In this paper a multichannel asynchronous FSK scheme equipped with (31, k) Reed-Solomon codes is used to verify the coding benefit. A systematic error probability analysis is developed and a stable and accurate performance evaluation procedure is provided. The sensitivity penalties due to the combined phase noise and interchannel crosstalk for both coded and uncoded systems are calculated for comparison. The results show that the performance reduction due to phase noise can be largely alleviated by choosing a proper code rate and an optimum value of the expanded IF bandwidth  相似文献

Current and upcoming demand-response systems provide increasingly detailed power-consumption data to utilities and a growing array of players angling to assist consumers in understanding and managing their energy use. The granularity of this data, as well as new players' entry into the energy market, creates new privacy concerns. The detailed per-household consumption data that advanced metering systems generate reveals information about in-home activities that such players can mine and combine with other readily available information to discover more about occupants' activities. The authors explore the technological aspects of this claim, focusing on the ways in which personally identifying information can be collected and repurposed. Their results show that, even with relatively unsophisticated hardware and data-extraction algorithms, some information about occupant behavior can be estimated with a high degree of accuracy. The authors propose a disclosure metric to aid in quantifying the impact of data collection on in-home privacy and construct an example metric for their experiment.  相似文献

Several chromium coatings on mild steels were characterized and placed in media containing sodium polysulphides for corrosion studies. Chemical corrosion was studied up to 440°C and electrochemical corrosion at 350°C. Chromium plating with subsequent high temperature treatment was found to give the best results but chromized steels were also found to be suitable for use in cells below 350°C.  相似文献

The concatenation of an equalizer and a Viterbi (1967) decoder is a powerful means for improving receiver performance in wireless communication systems. A soft-output equalizer increases the impact of this combination by enabling the use of soft-decision Viterbi decoding. It is well known that the maximum a posteriori (MAP) algorithm provides optimal reliability information, but at the cost of substantial complexity. This paper contains the results of an investigation into the design and performance of soft-output adaptive equalization techniques based on suboptimum trellis-based soft-output decoding algorithms. It is shown that the performance improvement relative to hard output equalizers is substantial, while the cost in terms of complexity is modest. A time-division multiple-access (TDMA) cellular system is used as the basis for comparisons. Simulation results and a complexity analysis are presented  相似文献

Several coding techniques are combined to create a simple error control system capable of providing very low end-to-end symbol error rates over a digital mobile phone link. Interleaving is used to spread out the impact of deep fades, allowing for the use of shorter block codes with correspondingly simple encoders and decoders. The degree of error control provided by these block codes is then substantially improved through the adoption of a type-1 hybrid-ARQ protocol. The performance of this system is explored in detail for implementation based on Reed-Solomon codes  相似文献
