Crystals of mixed NdLa heptamolybdates (max. size0.75×0.75×0.75 mm3) grown by silica gel technique were characterized using EDAX, IR, optical and scanning electron micrscopies.X-ray as well as electrn diffraction. The composition of the crystals was determined as (Nd1/2 La1/2 )2 Mo7O24·35H2O.The crystals exhibit varied morpholgies including square and octagonal platelets, cuboids, multifaceted crystal in coalesced and aggregated forms and spherulites.The XRD results indicate crystallinity of the grown material. Electron diffraction results suggest thermal instability of the material. IR results show the presence of peaks due to water and metal-oxygen bonds  相似文献

A horizontal alignment can be represented by three key factors: number of horizontal points of intersection (HPIs), their locations, and corresponding horizontal curve radii. Deciding all the three factors simultaneously requires extensive effort, which is not practically feasible in the manual alignment development process. Most available computer‐aided methods prioritize some or all the three factors in the automated alignment development processes. However, approximation in HPI location or pre‐selection of HPI number and curve radius are the few limitations of these methods. This study presents a modified motion‐planning based algorithm for developing new horizontal alignments with optimized costs and impacts. It simultaneously uses a low‐discrepancy sampling technique to develop increasingly dense potential HPIs, rapidly exploring random trees to find a suitable number of intermediate HPIs at appropriate locations and sequential quadratic algorithm to select optimally fitted curve radii. The proposed algorithm is integrated with the GIS database for realistic location‐dependent cost and environmental impact assessment. Two real‐world study areas were selected to compare the results with the one reported in the literature and to evaluate backtracking capability. Results indicated the proficiency of the proposed algorithm in developing new alignments. The sensitivity analyses revealed the effect of design speed and right‐of‐way width on the alignment generation. The proposed algorithm can automate the new horizontal highway alignment development process and support highway engineers in planning and development.  相似文献

Fossil fuel depletion and its adverse impact on global warming is a major driving force for a recent upsurge in the development of hybrid electric vehicles technologies. This paper is a conglomeration of the recent literature in the usages of an energy storage system and power conversion topologies in electric vehicles (EVs). An EV requires sources that have high power and energy density to decrease the charging time. Commonly used energy storage devices in EVs are fuel cells, batteries, ultracapacitors, flywheel, and photovoltaic arrays. The power output from energy storage sources is conditioned to match load characteristics with the source for maximum power delivery. A DC-DC converter topology performs this task by way of transforming voltage under the condition of power invariance. In addition, power electronics is also required to power DC/AC motors efficiently with precise control as these motors provide tractive efforts and acts as prime movers. This paper therefore brings out a critical review of the literature on EV's power conversion topologies and energy storage systems with challenges, opportunities and future directions by systematic classification of EVs and energy storage.  相似文献

We have demonstrated earlier that maximum H2 generated @ 1.167 l/h/m2 over Cu0.02Ti0.98O2-δ photocatalyst with apparent quantum efficiency, AQE of 7.5% and solar fuel efficiency, SFE of 3.9% under sunlight. With an aim to scale-up the solar photocatalytic hydrogen process to pilot plant, optimization studies at lab scale as well as in upscaled photoreactors were performed over Cu0.02Ti0.98O2-δ, photocatalyst under UV/visible and sunlight. Cu0.02Ti0.98O2-δ was synthesized by facile sol-gel route and characterized by relevant techniques. Several operational parameters were investigated in order to finalize the conditions which are most favourable for photocatalytic hydrogen yield. Factors such as photocatalyst loadings, v/v concentration of sacrificial reagent, replacement of methanol by industrial waste glycerol, role of different configuration of light source with reactor, effect of stirring during the photocatalytic reaction, effect of fluctuations of solar flux at hourly basis, illumination area on hydrogen yield were studied. Contribution of each factor in determining the hydrogen yield was quantified. Relative standard deviation in hydrogen yield as a function of each factor was estimated. Our findings suggest that in addition to catalyst loadings and sacrificial reagent, improved dispersion of photocatalyst obtained by stirring the reaction mixture in horizontal geometry resulted in enhanced H2 yield. Hydrogen yield obtained at lab scale can be appropriately extrapolated with respect to illumination area instead of weight of photocatalyst. A relative standard deviation (RSD) of ± 3.82% and ± 4.53% in H2 yield was calculated for sunny and cloudy days in time zone of 10.30–16.30 h IST. Deviation of H2 yield was more on cloudy days and beyond 16:30 h. These studies have provided a daily window of 11:00–15:00 h to be utilized throughout the year for a commercial scaled up process, prohibiting the illumination during less productive hours of the day for shaping the improved economics of solar hydrogen generation. Our results obtained at lab scale would be useful to perform sunlight driven scaled –up photocatalytic process using low cost visible light efficient photocatalyst, Cu0.02Ti0.98O2-δ.  相似文献

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are autonomous fliers, which can play different roles in modern day applications. In one of the important role, UAVs can act as aerial data forwarding nodes for communication range enhancement in remote areas. UAVs form a web of drones, which can be geo‐distributed across a large area to serve various applications. However, the two major contradicting challenges with respect to multi‐UAV networks are channel congestion and flight time enhancement. The use of effective data transmission techniques to handle congestion can lead to higher battery dissipation, which in turn end up in the reduction in flight time. However, it is utmost necessity to provide an effective framework, which can provide a viable solution for handling congestion in multi‐UAV networks while enhancing the flight time of UAVs. To handle these issues, software‐defined network (SDN)–enabled opportunistic offloading and charging scheme (SOOCS) in multi‐UAV ecosystem is designed in this paper. In this scheme, an opportunistic offloading scheme is proposed, which uses an SDN‐based control model to handle congestion issues. Apart from this, an opportunistic energy‐charging scheme is designed, wherein the UAVS can either replenish their batteries using solar plates or they can wirelessly charge energy from charging points deployed at various geo‐distributed locations. The proposed scheme is evaluated using a simulation‐based study over the realistic deployment of charging points in Chandigarh City, India. The results obtained show the superiority of SOOCS over other variants of its category in terms of end‐to‐end delay, throughput, and hand‐over latency.  相似文献

The solid membrane of chromium ferricyanide in epoxy resin has been used as a silver sensitive electrode. The electrode response to silver ions is non-Nernstian, but a linear plot has been obtained in the concentration range 10?1-10?3M with a slope of 46 mV per decade of activity. The response time of the electrode is a few seconds and potentials generated are reproducible. The electrode is not specific to silver ions but can nevertheless be used in presence of Hg2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+. Anions show no interference. Silver can be estimated even in the presence of interfering ions by potentiometric titration using the membrane as an end point indicator electrode.  相似文献

This paper addresses stability analysis and design issues in load-frequency control (LFC) for interconnected power systems with a structure uncertainty satisfying the matching conditions. A simple robust decentralized control law for each subsystem has been developed on the basis of the Hessenberg model and utilizing the basic concepts of both linear-quadratic regulator theory and Lyapunov stability theory. A detailed design procedure together with simulation results have been presented for the case of the LFC problem of interconnected power systems. The performance robustness and stability bounds are studied and subsequently condition numbers corresponding to the stabilizing solution of the algebraic Riccati equation are also presented.  相似文献
