Wireless sensor network has special features and many applications, which have attracted attention of many scientists. High energy consumption of these networks, as a drawback, can be reduced by a hierarchical routing algorithm. The proposed algorithm is based on the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) and Quadrant Cluster based LEACH (Q-LEACH) protocols. To reduce energy consumption and provide a more appropriate coverage, the network was divided into several regions and clusters were formed within each region. In selecting the cluster head (CH) in each round, the amount of residual energy and the distance from the center of each node were calculated by the base station (including the location and residual energy of each node) for all living nodes in each region. In this regard, the node with the largest value had the highest priority to be selected as the CH in each network region. The base station calculates the CH due to the lack of energy constraints and is also responsible for informing it throughout the network, which reduces the load consumption and tasks of nodes in the network. The information transfer steps in this protocol are similar to the LEACH protocol stages. To better evaluate the results, the proposed method was implemented with LEACH LEACH-SWDN, and Q-LEACH protocols using MATLAB software. The results showed better performance of the proposed method in network lifetime, first node death time, and the last node death time.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of inulin (0, 2.5, 5, and 7.5 %), maltodextrin (0, 15, 20, and 25 %), and different drying processes (one- and two-stage drying) on the morphology and physicochemical properties of regular and instant reduced-fat creamers. The present study showed that the drum-dried creamer containing 0 % maltodextrin and 0 % inulin was fully sticky powder with dark brown color. It was found that the maximum increase in maltodextrin (from 0 to 25 %) and inulin (from 0 to 7.5 %) resulted in the creamer with the highest glass transition temperature and the lowest stickiness among all formulated creamers. The application of two-stage drying involving fluidized bed drying resulted in further improvement of the glass transition temperature and stickiness of the reduced fat instant creamer. The instant creamers obtained from two-stage drying had considerably higher glass transition temperature and lower bulk density than the regular creamers from one-stage drying. Such improvement could be due to the reduction of bulk density induced by fluidized bed drying. This might be because of higher porosity of the creamer particles after agglomeration. The current study revealed that the addition of high amounts of inulin and maltodextrin also played a significant role in the reduction of bulk density and further improvement of glass transition temperature (Tg) and solubility of the reduced fat creamer. The instant reduced fat creamer containing 25 % maltodextrin and 7.5 % inulin had the most desirable characteristics among all formulated creamers.  相似文献

The concept of probiotics has been well-known for more than a century. The availability and survival of the consumed probiotics in the colon has not been proved convincingly and needs further studies and clarification. It was not known whether the fastidious probiotics could reach the targeted site of action due to gastrointestinal stress. However, probiotics must sustain themselves in high number, survive during passage through the stomach to the intestine, and react symbiotically with the host when they reach the colon. This review consolidates some of the recent findings and new strategies on the development of a delivery system for targeted colonic delivery of probiotics.  相似文献

Abstract

Free-space communication allows one to use spatial mode encoding, which is susceptible to the effects of diffraction and turbulence. Here, we discuss the optimum communication modes of a system while taking such effects into account. We construct a free-space communication system that encodes information onto the plane-wave (PW) modes of light. We study the performance of this system in the presence of atmospheric turbulence, and compare it with previous results for a system employing orbital-angular-momentum (OAM) encoding. We are able to show that the PW basis is the preferred basis set for communication through atmospheric turbulence for a system with a large Fresnel number product. This study has important implications for high-dimensional quantum key distribution systems.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Brown rice is unpolished rice with immeasurable benefits for human health. Brown rice (BR) and pre‐germinated brown rice (PGBR) are known to contain various functional compounds such as γ‐oryzanol, dietary fibre and γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA). In the present study, the experimental diets containing BR and PGBR (24, 48 h pre‐germination) were used to investigate the influence of pre‐germination time of brown rice on blood cholesterol in Sprague–Dawley male rats. RESULTS: Hypercholesterolaemia and elevation of LDL‐cholesterol were successfully ameliorated by the experimental diets containing BR and PGBR (24 and 48 h pre‐germination). As compared to the control sample, the pre‐germination time had a significant (P < 0.05) effect on blood cholesterol of Sprague–Dawley male rats. It was also found that the significantly (P < 0.05) better effect on lipid profile of hypercholesterolaemic rats was observed by prolonging the pre‐germination time. As compared to non‐germinated brown rice, the germinated brown rice showed the higher cardio‐protective effect on hypercholesterolaemic Sprague–Dawley male rats. CONCLUSION: The present study suggests that the changes of blood cholesterol can be mainly modulated by using the PGBR rather than BR. The prolonging of pre‐germination time led to an increase in the bioactive components, thereby providing a more efficient functional diet affecting the high blood cholesterol. This study investigated the possible relationship between the enzyme extraction variables, namely amount of buffer (25–75 ml, X1), temperature (−20, 25 °C, X2) and mixing time (1–3 min, X3) on total protein (Y1), total activity (Y2), specific activity (Y3), storage stability (Y4), temperature stability (Y5) and pH stability (Y6) of serine protease from mango peel. It was found that there was significant (p < 0.05) fit of the response surface models for all the response variables investigated. There was indication of high coefficient of determination (R2) values (between 0.954 and 1.000) in the regression models describing variations of the response variables. It was found that there was no significant (p > 0.05) difference between the experimental and predicted values. This ensured that the response surface models used to indicate property changes of serine protease as a function of enzyme extraction conditions were sufficient.  相似文献

Subcritical carbon dioxide Soxhlet extraction of biologically active compounds from Clincanthus nutans was investigated by full factorial design to identify and optimize the factors (particle size and co-solvent) affecting extract yield, antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. An average of 3.103% yield, 98.90% antioxidant activity, 49.40 mg/g (GAE) TPC, 43.76 mg/g (RE), and 88.58% AGI activity can be achieved using the optimum levels of independent variables. The GC-Q-TOF MS identification of optimized extract shown that different classes of phytoconstituents were successfully separated by CO2-Soxhlet to produce potential antioxidant and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity.  相似文献

The effect of NaOH content of electrolyte on the properties of ceramic coatings, produced in silicate solution, was studied. Morphology, chemical analysis, phase composition, and cross-section of the ceramic coatings were investigated by SEM, EDS, XRD, and OM, respectively. The corrosion resistance and corrosion mechanism were also studied using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in a 3.5% NaCl solution. To study the surface roughness, a brightness SEM image analysis method was used. Results suggested that increasing the NaOH concentration of sediment production size causes thickness and coating roughness to decrease. The lowest corrosion rate belonged to the twofold layer coating produced in 10 g/L of NaOH. Other samples, with higher concentrations of NaOH, had reduced porosity, and thus an increase in the corrosion resistance was observed. These coatings mainly consisted of α/γ-Al2O3 and amorphous silica.  相似文献
