In the present work, the heating performance of a new system combined with a new modified baseboard radiator and fan coil is investigated. Using longitudinal fins with special geometry and also forced airflow at the end of the system causes that at the lower inlet water temperature compared with the conventional models, higher heat output rate be obtained. The heat output rate of the new modified system is obtained by experimental metrology based on the European Standard No. EN-442. Temperature and velocity distribution in the room space is done by simulation of the modified system in the Flovent software. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results are validated against experimental results and there is a good agreement between them. Also, the energy consumption of the system during the winter season is calculated in TRANSYS software. Experimental results show that the heat output rate of a new modified heating system with inlet water temperature in the range of 45–55°C is on average 4.17 times higher compared with the conventional model. CFD simulation also showed that the combined system provides good thermal comfort conditions. Energy consumption of the new system reduced about 13% compared with conventional models.  相似文献

In the present work, thermal performance of a new modified baseboard radiator is investigated experimentally based on the European Standard EN-442. Temperature distribution and thermal comfort conditions of the floor heating system and panel radiator is compared with the present system numerically. To validation of the simulation results, a comparison has been made between the simulation and the experimental obtained results. Comparison shows that there is a good agreement between them. The heat output rate of the new system increased about 46.06% compared with conventional baseboard radiant model and also the baseboard heating system is capable of providing better thermal comfort conditions than two other systems. Energy consumption in three systems is investigated experimentally by smart temperature control mechanism. Results show that energy consumption in the baseboard radiant is 83.03% and 55.96% lower than floor heating system and panel radiator, respectively.  相似文献

The genomic prediction of unobserved genetic values or future phenotypes for complex traits has revolutionized agriculture and human medicine. Fertility traits are undoubtedly complex traits of great economic importance to the dairy industry. Although genomic prediction for improved cow fertility has received much attention, bull fertility largely has been ignored. The first aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of genomic prediction of sire conception rate (SCR) in US Holstein dairy cattle. Standard genomic prediction often ignores any available information about functional features of the genome, although it is believed that such information can yield more accurate and more persistent predictions. Hence, the second objective was to incorporate prior biological information into predictive models and evaluate their performance. The analyses included the use of kernel-based models fitting either all single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP; 55K) or only markers with presumed functional roles, such as SNP linked to Gene Ontology or Medical Subject Heading terms related to male fertility, or SNP significantly associated with SCR. Both single- and multikernel models were evaluated using linear and Gaussian kernels. Predictive ability was evaluated in 5-fold cross-validation. The entire set of SNP exhibited predictive correlations around 0.35. Neither Gene Ontology nor Medical Subject Heading gene sets achieved predictive abilities higher than their counterparts using random sets of SNP. Notably, kernel models fitting significant SNP achieved the best performance with increases in accuracy up to 5% compared with the standard whole-genome approach. Models fitting Gaussian kernels outperformed their counterparts fitting linear kernels irrespective of the set of SNP. Overall, our findings suggest that genomic prediction of bull fertility is feasible in dairy cattle. This provides potential for accurate genome-guided decisions, such as early culling of bull calves with low SCR predictions. In addition, exploiting nonlinear effects through the use of Gaussian kernels together with the incorporation of relevant markers seems to be a promising alternative to the standard approach. The inclusion of gene set results into prediction models deserves further research.  相似文献

High diagnostic sensitivity and specificity while maintaining the least dose to the patient is the ideal mammography. The objective of this work was to evaluate patient dose and image quality of mammograms to propose corrective actions. The image quality for 1242 patient in 7 mammography facilities in Tehran city was evaluated based on selected image quality criteria using a three-point scale. Clinical image quality, the entrance surface air kerma, the average glandular dose and optical density of films for standard PMMA phantom of 4.5 cm thickness were evaluated. The results showed that up to 72 % of mammograms were in good condition to be diagnosed, and only about 3.4 % of the images were unacceptable or with suboptimal quality. The entrance surface air kerma values were in the range of 3.8-10.5 mGy, average glandular dose 0.5-1.8 mGy and optical density of films 0.74-2.03. The image quality evaluation after correction actions, periodic image quality evaluation and using the correct equipment certainly will improve patient dose.  相似文献

The problem of an elastic beam under the periodic loading of successive moving masses is investigated as a pragmatic case for studying dynamic stability of linear time-varying systems. This model serves to highlight the odds of multi-solutions coexistence, a form of hidden instability which reveals dangerous as it may be precipitated by the slightest disturbance or variation in the model. Since no engineering model perfectly represents a physical system, such situations for which Floquet theory naively predicts stability are potentially inevitable. The harmonic balancing method is used in order to thoroughly explore the stability diagrams for detecting these instability gaps. Although this phenomenon has also been described in other physical systems, it has not been addressed for beam–moving mass systems. This result may find particular importance in applications involving self-induced vibrations of elastic structures and hence also appears of practical relevance.  相似文献

The effect of ginger extract (GE), as a milk coagulant, was investigated on the physicochemical, proteolysis, textural profiles and sensory properties of whey-less cheese containing quinoa germ powder (QGP; 0, 3, 6 and 9%) during storage. The results showed that with increasing QGP, the dry matter, fat, soluble nitrogen at pH 4.6 and free tryptophan and tryptophan amino acids increased and protein content decreased. Consequently, it is suggested that using 6% quinoa germ in the production of whey-less cheese made by GE as a coagulant can give the most desired product with no adverse effects on the quality and sensory properties.  相似文献

Based on previously obtained experimental results, a mechanistic picture of time effects in granular materials is presented. Accordingly, time effects are caused by grain crushing, which in turn is time dependent, as indicated by static fatigue of brittle materials. Triaxial compression tests have been performed on Virginia Beach sand at high pressures, where grain crushing is prevalent, to study effects of initial loading strain rates on subsequent amounts of creep and stress relaxation. Grain size distribution curves were determined after each test and the amount of crushing, as characterized by Hardin’s breakage factor, is related to the energy input to the triaxial specimens. A pattern emerges that indicates the importance of crushing for the axial and volumetric strains, while rearrangement and frictional sliding between intact grains play much smaller roles in the stress-strain and volume change behaviors of granular materials at high stresses and shear strains. Because particle crushing is a time-dependent phenomenon described as static fatigue or delayed fracture, the close relation between time effects and crushing in granular materials is established.  相似文献

Silica coated NiFe2O4 NPs has been synthesized. It has been characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM-EDX and FT-IR. The catalytic activity of the Silica coated NiFe2O4 NPs has been tested for the S-arylation reaction in water with high yield. In this reaction water was used as the green solvent. The effects of solvents, reaction time and catalyst amount for the reaction was reported. This catalyst showed excellent catalytic activity and recyclability. The Silica coated NiFe2O4 NPs catalyst could be easily recovered by filtration and reused more than five times without appreciable loss of its initial activity.  相似文献

Objective of this study is measuring the macroscopic cross section of a neutron absorbing layer for thermal neutrons. For this purpose a neutron source and BF 3 detector have been applied. For measuring macroscopic cross section of thermal neutrons by the \( I = BI_{0} e^{{ - \sum\nolimits_{tot} t}} \) Formula, it is necessary to provide suitable geometric conditions in order to assume the production and build-up coefficient to be the unit value (=1). To fulfill required conditions for this assumption, surface of the detector is covered with a 2 mm thick layer of cadmium. Radiation window of the detector has a 3 cm diameter, situated directly in front of the source. By placing the cadmium cover over the detector, variation of \( Ln{\frac{{I_{0}^{{}} }}{I}} \) values verses thickness of absorbent layer, renders linear function behavior, making it possible to measure the macroscopic cross section. The next stage is applying the MCNP code by simulating F1 tally and cosine-cards for calculating Total Macroscopic Cross-Section. Validation of this study is achieved through comparison of simulation by the MCNP code and results rendered by experiment measurements.  相似文献
