The proposed research describes the synthesis and characterization of platinum nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Pt-NP-AC) and its efficient application as novel adsorbent for efficient removal of reactive orange 12 (RO-12). The influences of effective parameters following the optimization of variables on removal percentages, their value was set as 0.015 g Pt-NP-AC, pH 1, contact time of 13 min. At optimum values of all variables at 25 and 50 mgL−1 of RO-12 enthalpy (ΔH0) and entropy (ΔS0) changes was found to be 59.89 and 225.076, respectively, which negative value of ΔG0 shows a spontaneous nature, and the positive values of ΔH0 and ΔS0 indicate the endothermic nature and adsorption organized of dye molecule on the adsorbent surface. Experimental data was fitted to different kinetic models including first-order, pseudo-second-order, Elovich and intra-particle diffusion models, and it was seen that the adsorption process follows pseudo-second-order model in consideration to intra-particle diffusion mechanism. At optimum values of all variables, the adsorption process follows the second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm model with adsorption capacity 285.143 mg g−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

Of late, fuel cells have drawn great attentions owing to high-energy demands, fossil fuel depletion and worldwide environmental pollution. Direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC) constituted as one of the most promising sources of green energy, howbeit the ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) sluggish kinetic is one of the essential challenges toward the commercialization of DEFCs. Herein, we introduce bimetallic catalyst on CoNiO2 modified reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to completely exploit the advantages of nano-surface structures as well as the reduction of Pt and Pd loading in fuel cells. With the combined advantages of PtPd, CoNiO2 and rGO, a significant enhancement in electrocatalytic behavior, stability and CO poisoning tolerance of PtPd have been observed. Regarding the implications, PtPd/CoNiO2/rGO is greatly preferable than Pt/CoNiO2/rGO and Pd/CoNiO2/rGO in terms of high electroactive surface area (ECSA), electro-catalytic activity, and lower onset potential (Eons) towards the EtOH oxidation in alkaline media. Furthermore, the chronoamperometry curve (CA) illustrated 77% after 3600 s which is dramatically soared compared with the other electrodes (≤40%), demonstrating the high stability of the PtPd bimetallic nanoparticle electrocatalyst. Ultimately, PtPd/CoNiO2/rGO nanocomposite is found to be an excellent anode electrocatalyst for application in DEFCs.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Objective: We systematically reviewed available randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to elucidate the overall effects of synbiotic supplementation in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

Methods: PubMed, Scopus, ISI Web of science and Google Scholar were searched up to December, 2017. All RCTs using synbiotic supplements to treat NAFLD included in this systematic review and meta-analysis. Mean Difference (MD) was pooled using a random-effects model.

Results: Eleven eligible databases from seven RCTs were identified for the present meta-analysis. Our results showed that synbiotic supplementation can decrease body weight, fasting blood sugar, insulin, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor alpha, alanine transaminase and aspartate transaminase levels among patients with NAFLD. In contrast, synbiotic did not have favorable effects on body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) levels compared with the placebo group.

Conclusion: The current study revealed that synbiotic supplementation has favorable effect on inflammatory factors, liver enzymes and some anthropometric indices, lipid profiles and glucose homeostasis parameters in patients with NAFLD.  相似文献

In the presented work, 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2,4-dione (phenytoin) (DFTD), 5,5-diphenylimidazolidine-2-thione-,4-one (thiophenytoin) (DFID) and 2-(4'-methoxy-benzylidenimine) thiophenole (MBIP) modified activated carbons have been used for the solid phase extraction of copper and lead ions prior to their flame atomic absorption spectrometric determinations. The influences of the various analytical parameters including pH, amounts of reagent, sample volume and eluent type, etc. on the recovery efficiencies of copper and lead ions were investigated. The influences of alkaline, earth alkaline and some transition metals on the adsorption of the analytes were also examined. The detection limits by three sigma for analyte ions were 0.65 and 0.42 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with DFID; 0.52 and 0.37 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with DFTD and 0.46 and 0.31 microg L(-1) using activated carbon modified with MBIP for Pb(II) and Cu(II), respectively. The procedure was applied to the determination of analytes in natural waters, soil, and blood samples with satisfactory results (recoveries greater than 95%, R.S.D.'s lower than 4%).  相似文献

A new Cu2+ carbon paste electrode (CPE) using 2,2′-(1E,1′E)-1,1′-(2,2′-azanediylbis (ethane-2,1-diyl)bis(azan-1-yl-1-ylidene))bis(ethan-1-yl-1-ylidene)diphenol (ADEZEDP) has been prepared. The influence of variables including sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB), ionophore, and amount of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT), CdO nanowires, CdS nanoparticles and palladium nanoparticles loaded on ADEZEDP and Nujol on the electrodes response were studied and optimized. At optimum values of all variables, for each nanomaterial the electrode response was linear in concentration range of 1.0 × 10? 8 to 1.0 × 10? 1 mol L? 1 for ADEZEDP with Nernstian slope. The good performance of electrode viz. Wide applicable pH range (2.0–5.0), fast response time (≈ 6 s), and adequate life time (3 months) indicate the utility of the proposed electrodes for evaluation of Cu2+ ion content in various situations. Finally, these electrodes have been successfully applied for the determination of Cu2+ ions content in various real samples. The selectivity of proposed electrode was evaluated by separation solution method and fixed interference method.  相似文献

The present study involves the development of solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedure for the preconcentration of trace amounts of copper (Cu2 +), iron (Fe3 +) and zinc (Zn2 +) ions on duolite XAD 761 modified by bis(2-hydroxyacetophenone)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediimine(BHAPDMPDI). The complexation between the metal ions and the proposed ligand was investigated potentiometrically. The metal ions retained on the sorbent were quantitatively determined via complexation with BHAPDMPDI. The complexed metal ions were efficiently eluted using 6 mL of 4 mol L? 1 nitric acid in acetone. The influences of the analytical parameters, including pH, amounts of the ligand and the solid phase, eluent conditions and sample volume, on the recoveries of the metal ions were optimized. Using the optimized parameters, the linear response of the SPE method for Cu2 +, Zn2 + and Fe3 + ions were in the ranges of 0.01–0.34, 0.01–0.28 and 0.02–0.31 μg mL? 1, respectively, and the detection limits for Cu2 +, Zn2 + and Fe3 + ions were 1.8, 1.6 and 2.4 μg mL? 1, respectively. The proposed method exhibits a preconcentration factor of 208 for all of the ions studied and an enhancement factor for Cu2 +, Fe3 + and Zn2 + ions of 34, 28 and 38, respectively. The presented results demonstrate the successful application of the proposed method for the determination of these metal ions in some real samples with high recoveries (> 95%) and reasonable relative standard deviation (RDS < 5%).  相似文献

Thermal buckling analysis of deep imperfect functionally graded (FGM) spherical shell is considered in this paper. A mixture of ceramic and metal is considered for the FGM shell and the material properties, such as the modulus of elasticity and coefficient of thermal expansion, vary by a power law function through the thickness. Employing the Sanders non-linear kinematic relations, total potential energy function is derived and the equilibrium and stability equations are obtained for the imperfect shell. Approximate solutions satisfying the simply supported boundary condition are assumed and using the Galerkin method the error due to the approximation is minimized. The geometrically imperfect shell is considered and three types of thermal loadings, such as the uniform temperature rise (UTR), linear temperature rise through the thickness (LTR), and non-linear temperature rise through the thickness (NLTR) are considered and their associated buckling temperatures are obtained. The effects of different temperature functions and the magnitude of initial geometric imperfection are examined on the thermal buckling loads of the shell.  相似文献

In this work, biosorption of Brilliant green (BG) and Methylene blue (MB) dyes in binary mixture onto Saccharomyces cerevisiae were studied. pH at which the biosorption capacity of biomass is maximum was found to be 6 which is close to the pH of natural aqueous solutions. This is a big advantage of S. cerevisiae which makes it applicable for the technology of dye removal from natural aqueous dye solutions. Note that the time for the applied biosorption process for the dye removal is considerably short (about 5 min) which is a big improvement for the adsorption processes. This proves that the S. cerevisiae is a promising adsorbent. The BG and MB dyes were simultaneously analyzed using the fifth and fourth order derivative spectrophotometric method, respectively. Several isotherm models were applied to experimental data and the isotherm constants were calculated for BG and MB dyes. Among the applied models, Freundlich isotherm model showed best fit to the biosorption equilibrium data.  相似文献

Abstract

The penetration level of renewable and sustainable energy resources such as geothermal, wind, solar energies and ocean in power generation systems has been increasing. One of the important renewable energy resources is tidal power plants which makes use of rising and falling sea water level. Because of the uncertain nature of the generated power arisen from the variation in the water level in flood and ebb situations, integration of large-scale reservoir-based tidal power plants to power systems can involve numerous types of challenges. Thus, large-scale tidal power plants can be effectively used in operation studies of power systems. For this purpose, a probabilistic approach is introduced in this paper based on the modified PJM technique for integrating the large-scale tidal plant into operation studies of the power system. In this regard, a multi-state reliability model considering both the failure rate of composed components and the variation in the tide levels is developed and used in the operation studies. For evaluation of the impact of the tidal power plant on operation studies of a power system, numerical examples are put forward in which important indices such as unit commitment risk, required spinning reserve and peak load carrying capability can be calculated.  相似文献
