Implants made of ceramics, and more particularly of calcium phosphates (hydroxyapatite: HA, mainly), promoting intimate contact with natural bone are nowadays merging. Addition of copper ions in bio-ceramics is expected to increase the biological compatibilities of bone graft substitutes. Previous works have shown that copper-doped hydroxyapatite (Cu-doped HA) ceramics can be prepared by solid-state sintering between HA and CuO powder mixtures at about 1100 °C; but, copper-substituted HA was found to be metastable leading to apatitic grains and Cu-rich grain boundaries during the sintering process. Ultra-rapid sintering is so needed. Selective laser sintering (SLS) is an additive manufacturing process that possesses the advantage to be based on ultra-fast sintering process under laser irradiation. SLS being used in literature for the application of laser on polymer-ceramic or poymer-metal composites the proper term all along the paper is Ceramic Powder Bed Laser Sintering (CPBLS). To achieve densification of Cu-doped HA ceramics from CPBLS process, one should control the composition/morphology/structure of the powder bed as well as three other important CPBLS parameters: (i) the applied energy from the laser beam, (ii) the laser power and the laser scanning speed, (iii) the distance between two successive lased lines. In this paper, the impact of all the main CPBLS parameters controlling the sintering of dip-coated Cu-doped HA layers on glass substrates is carefully investigated. Possibility of the creation of thin consolidated Cu-doped HA ceramic patterns, using the ultra-fast CPBLS process, is finally shown. 相似文献

This study describes an extraction process for the preparation of highly purified calcium precipitated glycinin (11S). Initial extraction of soy proteins using isoelectric precipitation at pH 6.8 followed by cryo-precipitation yielded 4.2% product (11S) recovery with 98% protein purity for the control extracted with NaOH. Addition of calcium chloride (CaCl2) doubled the extraction yield (9%) compared to the control and when two other salts were used (i.e., sodium (Na2SO4) and ammonium (NH4)2SO4 sulfate, average yields of 4.4% and 5.17%, respectively). Thermal and molecular stability under varying conditions (pH, salts, SDS as a protein structure perturbing agent), and effect of glycation on functional and structural properties were investigated. Size exclusion chromatography and electrophoresis confirmed the predominance of a major band with MW of ~342 kDa with 98.4% purity. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) yielded one endothermic transition peak at 95.5 °C. Denaturation temperatures were >100 °C for all salt concentrations studied. The pH had a dominant influence on the structural properties of glycinin. In the presence of NaCl and CaCl2 (0.2–1 M), the protein structure showed very little denaturation and no aggregation bands were observed even on heating to 95 °C. Lower SDS concentrations (0.5–1%) resulted in denaturation and aggregation, while at 2% SDS only denaturation was observed. Glycation did not alter the conformational structure of protein. New advances in theoretical background and recent experimental results concerning nanoscale bimetallic clusters are presented. From theoretical point of view, we will show how both the relaxation of the intermetallic distances and the chemical local ordering can be predicted from the electronic structure. Here, we compare these predictions at thermodynamical equilibrium to a review of recent results obtained using XAS for bimetallic systems Pt–M where M is a 4d transition metal. Even though the distribution of the two species inside the cluster can be affected by preparation parameters, such as, the nature of the precursor, it appears that these theoretical calculations are a valuable starting point for the study of such entities. 相似文献

Multi‐view reconstruction aims at computing the geometry of a scene observed by a set of cameras. Accurate 3D reconstruction of dynamic scenes is a key component for a large variety of applications, ranging from special effects to telepresence and medical imaging. In this paper we propose a method based on Moving Least Squares surfaces which robustly and efficiently reconstructs dynamic scenes captured by a calibrated set of hybrid color+depth cameras. Our reconstruction provides spatio‐temporal consistency and seamlessly fuses color and geometric information. We illustrate our approach on a variety of real sequences and demonstrate that it favorably compares to state‐of‐the‐art methods. 相似文献

An oven dedicated to a magnetic resonance imager (MRI) was designed and constructed for continuous monitoring of the entire baking process. The general aim was to test whether response variables conventionally measured on bread loaves, such as temperature, density, and water loss, were consistent with those reported for similar products baked in classical convection ovens. MRI images acquired during baking are presented and discussed, emphasising the need to develop quantitative MRI methods allowing conversion of the MRI signal into one variable of interest, such as local density or local water content. 相似文献

This paper presents a computational model for studying the mechanical properties of skin with aging. In particular, attention is given to the folding capacity of skin, which may be manifested as wrinkles. The simulation provides visual results demonstrating the form and density of folds under the various conditions.
