This paper reports the fabrication of vertically oriented BiFeO3 (BFO) nanorods on indium tin oxide/glass substrates through hydrothermal synthesis. Further, their piezotronic, piezophototronic, and piezophotocatalytic properties were analyzed. Various synthesis parameters were examined to modulate the morphology and alignment of BFO nanorods, including the ratios of precursors, the pH values, types of complex agents, and reaction times and temperatures. Transmission electron microscopy results demonstrated single crystallinity of the BFO nanorods. A band gap of approximately 2.3?eV was determined. The piezotronic and piezophototronic properties were observed through facile current–voltage measurement. The extended application of piezophotocatalysis under alternating external stress and visible-light irradiation, to decompose methylene blue solutions, was also ascertained. The piezophotocatalytic efficiency was improved by approximately 30% over photocatalysis in the first 30?min. Both O2?□and□·OH radicals were crucial for these activities.  相似文献

Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 (LAS) glass-ceramics have important industrial applications and bulk nucleation is usually achieved by using nucleating agents. In particular, P2O5 is an efficient agent in glasses containing a low level of Al2O3 but its role in the first stages of nucleation is not well established. In this study, we combine structural investigations from local to mesoscales to describe the structural evolution during crystallization of LAS glass-ceramics. Local environment is probed using 29Si and 31P MAS-NMR, indicating organization of P in poorly crystallized Li3PO4 species prior to any crystallization. To better understand the detailed nanoscale changes of the glass structure, 31P-31P DQ-DRENAR homonuclear correlation experiments have been carried out, revealing the gradual segregation of P atoms associated with the formation of disordered Li3PO4. Small-angle neutron scattering data also show the apparition of nanoscale heterogeneities associated with Li3PO4 species upon heating treatments and allow the determination of their average sizes. These new structural information enhance our understanding of the role of P in nucleation mechanisms. Nucleation is initiated by gradual change in P environment implying P segregation upon heating treatments, forming disordered Li3PO4 heterogeneities. The segregation of P atoms enables the precipitation of meta- and disilicate phases.  相似文献

The diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer (PCa) is a major health-care concern worldwide. This cancer can manifest itself in many distinct forms and the transition from clinically indolent PCa to the more invasive aggressive form remains poorly understood. It is now universally accepted that glycan expression patterns change with the cellular modifications that accompany the onset of tumorigenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate if differential glycosylation patterns could distinguish between indolent, significant, and aggressive PCa. Whole serum N-glycan profiling was carried out on 117 prostate cancer patients’ serum using our automated, high-throughput analysis platform for glycan-profiling which utilizes ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) to obtain high resolution separation of N-linked glycans released from the serum glycoproteins. We observed increases in hybrid, oligomannose, and biantennary digalactosylated monosialylated glycans (M5A1G1S1, M8, and A2G2S1), bisecting glycans (A2B, A2(6)BG1) and monoantennary glycans (A1), and decreases in triantennary trigalactosylated trisialylated glycans with and without core fucose (A3G3S3 and FA3G3S3) with PCa progression from indolent through significant and aggressive disease. These changes give us an insight into the disease pathogenesis and identify potential biomarkers for monitoring the PCa progression, however these need further confirmation studies.  相似文献

Rechargeable alkali metal (i.e., lithium, sodium, potassium)-based batteries are considered as vital energy storage technologies in modern society. However, the traditional liquid electrolytes applied in alkali metal-based batteries mainly consist of thermally unstable salts and highly flammable organic solvents, which trigger numerous accidents related to fire, explosion, and leakage of toxic chemicals. Therefore, exploring non-flammable electrolytes is of paramount importance for achieving safe batteries. Although replacing traditional liquid electrolytes with all-solid-state electrolytes is the ultimate way to solve the above safety issues, developing non-flammable liquid electrolytes can more directly fulfill the current needs considering the low ionic conductivities and inferior interfacial properties of existing all-solid-state electrolytes. Moreover, the electrolyte leakage concern can be further resolved by gelling non-flammable liquid electrolytes to obtain quasi-solid electrolytes. Herein, a comprehensive review of the latest progress in emerging non-flammable liquid electrolytes, including non-flammable organic liquid electrolytes, aqueous electrolytes, and deep eutectic solvent-based electrolytes is provided, and systematically introduce their flame-retardant mechanisms and electrochemical behaviors in alkali metal-based batteries. Then, the gelation techniques for preparing quasi-solid electrolytes are also summarized. Finally, the remaining challenges and future perspectives are presented. It is anticipated that this review will promote a safety improvement of alkali metal-based batteries.  相似文献

This paper defines stock transfer organisations and argues that they have a pivotal role in accessing funding for the social and economic regeneration of their communities. It places housing and regeneration policy within the changing policy context of ‘new localism’, which, at least rhetorically, emphasises improvement in public services, multi-level governance structures and devolution of decision making. For stock transfer housing organisations this means an increasing need to engage in a wide range of partnerships and policy forums. Bourdieu's notion of habitus, i.e. social, economic and cultural capital, is used to explore the possible reasons for the differential approach of stock transfer organisations to regeneration and the variable success at engaging in a wide range of regeneration activity and attracting additional resources.  相似文献

Abstract

Samuel Bourne was one of the great pioneers of travel photography, and the photographs which he took in India during the 1860s have become familiar to a wide audience through their inclusion in exhibitions, their use as book illustrations and also through television coverage. Although acknowledging the merit of that aspect of his work, this paper discusses the hitherto comparatively little-known role which he played in the arena of photography during the period immediately before he went to India, and also his activities in the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries.  相似文献

Interface control remains a top challenge of solution-processed organic light emitting diodes (OLED) stacks since the device performance heavily relies on it. Film stability of an inkjet deposited and crosslinked layer against subsequent exposure to a suitable inkjet printed solvent has been investigated. Impact of processing solvent (solvent used to prepare the polymer layer) on solution-cast thin film properties has already been shown for polymer films. To our knowledge, this study is the first one analyzing thin films stability against solvent exposure using technology relevant materials processed via inkjet printing (IJP). The outcome of this research showed that the stability of the crosslinked films is affected by the solvent used for ink formulation. These findings are of great interest for multilayered semiconductors devices, such as OLEDs, field-effect transistors and dye-sensitized solar cells. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to quantify the efficiency of the polymer crosslinking reaction in pure powder and in thin films, as processed from different solvents. Crosslinking efficiency measured by DSC correlated well with the deformation induced by the solvent and observed on layer surfaces. The interaction in solution between polymer and solvent has also been evaluated to explain its impact on thin film stability against successive solvent printing. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. This paper deals with the analytically tractable solution for input torques minimisation of two degrees of freedom serial manipulators based on minimum energy control and optimal redistribution of movable masses. The minimisation problem is carried out in two steps: at first, the optimal trajectory of the manipulator is defined as a function, which leads to the minimisation of energy consumption. Then, by introducing the obtained trajectory into dynamic equations, the torques are reduced by using the optimal redistribution of movable masses, which is carried out via an adaptive counterweight system. For this purpose, the torques due to the dynamic loads of the counterweights are presented as a function of the counterweight positions. The conditions for optimal dynamic balancing are formulated by minimisation of the root-mean-square value of the input torque including the dynamic loads of the unbalanced manipulator and counterweights. The suggested approach is illustrated by numerical simulations carried out using ADAMS software.  相似文献
