Phase equilibrium in binary mixtures formed by benzene,perfluorobenzene, and dimethyl sulfoxide

The liquid-vapor phase equilibria in the benzene-perfluorobenzene, benzene-dimethyl sulfoxide, and perfluorobenzene-dimethyl sulfoxide binary systems at atmospheric pressure and the liquid-solid phase equilibrium in the benzene-perfluorobenzene binary system were studied. The liquid-vapor activity coefficients in binary systems were calculated by the Wilson equation. The liquid-solid equilibrium was described by second and third-degree polynomials.     

Modeling phase equilibrium in reaction mixture of methyl tert-butyl ether production

The complete mathematical model of phase equilibrium in four-component system forming in the methyl tert-butyl ether production was developed, and the assessment of its separation possibilities have been carried out using special techniques variety.     

Synergetic effect of binary separating agents in extractive rectification of homogeneous mixtures

Possibility of the use of dimethylsulfoxide-ethylene glycol binary separating agent for extractive rectification of ethanol-water and acetone-chloroform azeotropic mixtures has been considered. In both cases, the synergetic effect of binary separating agent has been detected. Upon the extractive rectification of the acetone-chloroform mixture, the assumption of a synergetic effect provides lower energy consumption upon separation compared to individual separating agents.

Some aspects of the transformation of diagrams of pseudoazeotropic mixtures are considered in the framework of the bifurcation theory.
