Cu-NMR spectra and the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate T 1 -1 have been studied intensively on the bilayer type high-Tc cuprate La1.89Ca1.11Cu2O6+ (La2126). The resonance line shift showed a monotonic decrease with lowering temperature in the normal state, indicating that this compound belongs to the lightly-doped region. The Curie-Weiss temperature dependence of (T1T)–1 in the normal state shows that the pseudo spin-gap does not always exist in the light-doped bilayer systems.  相似文献

This article is based on a review of literature devoted to the phenomenon of SDE via achiral chromatography since the appearance of the seminal work of Professor Emanuel Gil-Av. The discussed examples of chromatographic studies are related to amides derived from chiral amines and α- and β-amino acids. We discuss the observed SDE magnitude as a function of a compound's structure, and composition of eluent and stationary phases, providing some mechanistic considerations. Particular emphasis is given to the aspect of SDE via achiral chromatography as an emerging unconventional enantiomeric purification technique.  相似文献

Qbeta replicase functioning in Escherichia coli is an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase composed of one phage-coded subunit and three host-coded proteins: ribosomal protein S1, and protein elongation factors EF-Tu and EF-Ts. Qbeta replicase lacking ribosomal protein S1 (alpha-less replicase) is capable of replicating some small RNAs. We attempted to create functional alpha-less replicase by co-expression of the mRNAs that code for the subunits of alpha-less replicase in a rabbit reticulocyte cell-free translation system. Replicase activity, however, could not be detected when both EF-Tu and EF-Ts were co-expressed with the phage-coded subunit. On the other hand, active alpha-less replicase was obtained when an EF-Ts-EF-Tu fusion protein was co-expressed with the phage-coded subunit. Consequently, we succeeded in generating genetically engineered active alpha-less Qbeta replicase which functions in a eukaryotic cell-free system.  相似文献

Single crystals of the ferroelectric BaTi2O5 and BaTiO3 were prepared from a solution of 33-mol% BaO and 67-mol% TiO2 by a rapid cooling method. The dielectric constant () and dielectric loss tangent (tan) were measured in a wide temperature range of 10–860 K and in a frequency range of 0.1–3,000 kHz. The along the b-axis of the BaTi2O5 crystal, prepared in air, shows a sharp dielectric anomaly reaching 30,000 at the ferroelectric Curie temperature of TC = 752 K. By contrast, the crystal prepared in a reducing atmosphere shows a diffuse phase transition near TC = 703 K. The values of and tan are compared between these three crystals consisting of two kinds of BaTi2O5 and one BaTiO3.  相似文献

The establishment and maintenance of axonal patterning is crucial for neuronal function. To identify the molecular systems that operate locally to control axonal structure, it is important to manipulate molecular functions in restricted subcellular areas for a long period of time. Microfluidic devices can be powerful tools for such purposes. In this study, we demonstrate the application of a microfluidic device to clarify the function of local Ca2+ signals in axons. Membrane depolarization significantly induced axonal branch-extension in cultured cerebellar granule neurons (CGNs). Local application of nifedipine using a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)-based microfluidic device demonstrated that Ca2+ entry from the axonal region via L-type voltage-dependent calcium channels (L-VDCC) is required for branch extension. Furthermore, we developed a method for locally controlling protein levels by combining genetic techniques and use of a microfluidic culture system. A vector for enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) fused to a destabilizing domain derived from E. coli dihydrofolate reductase (ecDHFR) is introduced in neurons by electroporation. By local application of the DHFR ligand, trimethoprim (TMP) using a microfluidic device, we were able to manipulate differentially the level of fusion protein between axons and somatodendrites. The present study revealed the effectiveness of microfluidic devices to address fundamental biological issues at subcellular levels, and the possibility of their development in combination with molecular techniques.  相似文献

InAlAs/InGaAs heterojunction bipolar transistors with thin base and collector layers are fabricated. The maximum value of current gain cutoff frequency is as high as 96 GHz. It is shown that thinning of the base and collector is very effective not only for reducing the base and collector transit times but also for suppressing the space charge effect in the collector.<>  相似文献

The response of the structure subjected to nonstationary random vibration such as earthquake excitation is nonstationary random vibration. Calculating method for statistical characteristics of such a response is complicated. Mean square value of the response is usually used to evaluate random response. Integral of mean square value of the response corresponds to total energy of the response. In this paper, a simplified calculation method to obtain integral of mean square value of the response is proposed. As input excitation, nonstationary white noise and nonstationary filtered white noise are used. Integrals of mean square value of the response are calculated for various values of parameters. It is found that the proposed method gives exact value of integral of mean square value of the response.  相似文献

Methods that do not involve use of an organic solvent are being considered for manufacturing environmental‐friendly pressure‐sensitive adhesive tapes. Among these methods, the hot‐melt method exhibits high productivity but is somewhat limited in terms of performance. Hot‐melt‐fabricated pressure‐sensitive adhesives require heating fluidization and cooling solidification, and it is extremely difficult to improve their heat resistance. We examine thermally processable pressure‐sensitive adhesives with a completely new structure, fabricated based on the thermal dissociation of the isocyanate dimer. This enables thermal processing of materials softened by thermal dissociation. Fabrication of crosslinkable pressure‐sensitive adhesive becomes possible through a reaction of isocyanate caused by dissociation of its dimer. It is found that improving thermal and solvent resistances, which are disadvantages associated with conventional hot‐melt pressure‐sensitive adhesives, is potentially possible with the pressure‐sensitive adhesive reported here. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
