SiC-coated film onto carbon fibers as a barrier of oxidation resistance and reaction between carbon fibers and metals was
investigated. The chemical vapor deposition of silicon carbide onto carbon fibers was performed at various temperatures ranging
from 700 to 1000°C using triisopropylsilane vapor carried by hydrogen gas. The strength of the SiC-coated carbon fibers was
decreased due to deterioration of fibers and chemical attack of hydrogen on the surface of carbon fibers during the coating
process. The oxidation and the thermal resistance of the SiC-coated carbon fibers compared to the uncoated carbon fibers were
improved at temperature range of 600–800°C and 1000–1200°C, respectively. Morphological change by air oxidation at temperature
range of 500–800‡C was also investigated for the SiC-coated and the uncoated carbon fibers, respectively. The SiC-coated film
between carbon fiber and aluminum was sufficient as a barrier of reaction on carbon fiber reinforced aluminum at temperature

Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have been receiving significant attention because they have many advantages compared to
conventional organic solar cells. It has been known that the photovoltaic characteristics of DSSC are highly dependent on
the adsorption properties of dyes on TiO2 films. To analyze the surface heterogeneity of TiO2 surfaces, single-phase anatase nanocrystallite titanium films were prepared by sol-gel method using the hydrolysis reaction
of titanium tetraisopropoxide under acidic condition and characterized by XRD, FE-SEM and BET analysis. The adsorption energy
distribution functions were calculated by the generalized nonlinear regularization method. It was found that the shape and
the intensity of the adsorption energy distribution curve determined were highly related with the physical properties (i.e.,
geometrical heterogeneity) and chemical characteristics (i.e., energetic heterogeneity) of nanocrystalline TiO2 for DSSC. 相似文献

Protoporphyrin IX (PPIX) was immobilized on Au surfaces for the electrochemical oxidation of dopamine (DA) and epinephrine (EP). Two procedures for the immobilization were employed. One class of modified electrodes was prepared by immobilizing the PPIX into polypyrrole (PPy) films synthesized by anodic electropolymerization. The other procedure involved the immobilization of PPIX on an electrode modified by a 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) self-assembled monolayer (SAM). The modified surfaces were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV).The efficiency of these modified surfaces for the electrochemical oxidation of DA and EP was investigated and compared. The peak potential for the oxidation of each analyte at the different electrode surfaces was determined by square-wave voltammetry (SWV).The dependence of the sensitivity of the electrodes for the detection of the catecholamines on the applied potential was also measured. The SAM-based electrodes showed better selectivity for detecting DA in the potential range between 0.2 and 0.4 V versus Pt (QRE).
