The tectonic uplift of the Hua Shan in the Cenozoic 总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
Six granite samples were collected from six difference elevation locations at the Hua Shan in a main ridge of the Qinling
Mountain. Apatite and zircon separated from these six samples were dated by the fission track technique. An assessment of
the Cenozoic uplift or exhumation rate was obtained from the altitude difference of sampling samples dated by fission track,
and from the difference of fission track dates of both apatite and zircon for a sample. The preliminary results suggest that
the beginning of uplift of the Hua Shan was as early as 68.2 MaBP and the uplift rates for different periods are 0.02–0.19
mm/a (from the elevation difference) or 0.12–0.16 mm/a (from two mineral fission track dates). The average uplift rate is
0.12 mm/a (from the elevation difference) or 0.14 mm/a (from two mineral fission track dates). The uplift of the Hua Shan
might accelerate since (17.8±2.0) MaBP, and the average uplift rate is about 0.19 mm/a. 相似文献

Calcareous nannofossil diversity, and rates of speciation and extinction are calculated for five million year intervals from their first appearance in the Late Triassic through to the Present Day. Important evolutionary events are as follows: first appearance in the Late Triassic, Triassic‐Jurassic boundary extinctions, Tithonian radiation (and the first occurrence of nannofossil carbonates), Late Cretaceous diversity maximum, Cretaceous‐Tertiary boundary extinctions, Palaeocene radiation, mid Eocene to Oligocene diversity decline, and early Miocene diversity rise. These events are related to possible causal factors of which climate appears to be the most fundamental. South‐western Australia is a globally significant hotspot of Proteaceae diversity. This review reports on changes in the abundance and diversity of Proteaceae in south‐western Australia. Using palynology, the data were obtained from three sediment sequences from the Eocene, Pliocene and Holocene, as well as a modern pollen rain study, in the context of a vegetation history framework. The total percentages of Proteaceae pollen in pollen counts indicate that the number of Proteaceae in the vegetation are highest at present, slightly lower, yet still high in the Eocene, reduced by the Pliocene and lowest in the Holocene. It was found that Proteaceous genera can contribute up to 50% of the total modern pollen rain. Sediment from Lake Lefroy showed Nothofagus‐dominated rainforest occurred in the Middle to Late Eocene. Proteaceae species were at least as diverse as today, contributing up to a maximum of 42% of the total pollen rain, and varying across small lateral distances. A laminated Pliocene age sequence from Yallalie confirmed other studies that south‐western Australia was covered by a rich vegetation mosaic consisting of heath and wet rainforest elements. Proteaceae species were a consistent component of the counts, although diversity and abundance (maximum 5%) were low. A Holocene record from Two Mile Lake, near the Stirling Range, recorded little environmental change. Proteaceae species were noted in low abundance, at a maximum of 3.5% of the total pollen count. It is likely that both changing pollination mechanisms and changes in associated vegetation are important in determining the dispersal of Proteaceous pollen. 相似文献

本文依据20多个剖面(钻孔)近700个样品的孢粉资料及古地磁极性年表建立了云贵高原4Ma以来的孢粉时间序列,并划分了四个区域孢粉组合带,17个孢粉组合亚带。依据孢粉混杂堆积的出现,认为云贵高原的上升始于2.8MaB.P.,加剧于0.8MaB.P.前后。前期地形相对高度<1000m,后期相对高度达1500m;地貌经历了开阔盆地-低洼盆地-山地湖盆-高山湖盆的演化。气候经历了古季风、现代季风的发展过程 相似文献
