A disk-type Sm0.4Ba0.6Co0.2Fe0.8O3 − δ perovskite-type mixed-conducting membrane was applied to a membrane reactor for the partial oxidation of methane to syngas (CO + H2). The reaction was carried out using Rh (1 wt%)/MgO catalyst by feeding CH4 diluted with Ar. While CH4 conversion increased and CO selectivity slightly decreased with increasing temperature, a high level of CH4 conversion (90%) and a high selectivity to CO (98%) were observed at 1173 K. The oxygen flux was increased under the conditions for the catalytic partial oxidation of CH4 compared with that measured when Ar was fed to the permeation side. We investigated the reaction pathways in the membrane reactor using different membrane reactor configurations and different kinds of gas. In the membrane reactor without the catalyst, the oxygen flux was not improved even when CH4 was fed to the permeation side, whereas the oxygen flux was enhanced when CO or H2 was fed. It is implied that the oxidation of CO and H2 with the surface oxygen on the permeation side improves the oxygen flux through the membrane, and that CO2 and H2O react with CH4 by reforming reactions to form syngas.  相似文献

Ti- and Al-containing hexagonal mesoporous silicas (HMS) were synthesized at ambient temperature using dodecylamine as surfactant, and the resultant compounds were used as catalysts for the oxidation of propylene by molecular oxygen. Ti-Al-HMS, which was prepared by reaction of Ti(iso-OC3H7)4, Al(iso-OC3H7)3 and SiOC2H5)4 in an alcohol-aqueous solution in the presence of dodecylamine, showed 47.8 of conversion and 30.6 of selectivity for propylene oxide (PO) at 523K. The yield of PO over Ti-Al-HMS (14.6) was much higher than those over Ti-HMS (1.3) and Al-HMS (0.9) at the same reaction conditions. Ti-Al-HMS was also found to be more effective for PO formation than the supported catalysts (Ti/Al-HMS and Al/Ti-HMS) prepared by impregnation method. These results indicated that the simultaneous existence of Ti and Al in HMS was very important for improving the yield of PO from the oxidation of propylene, and the synthesis method influenced the catalytic activity of the Ti- and Al-containing HMS catalysts.  相似文献

Metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors fabricated on a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer operate faster and at a lower power than those fabricated on a bulk silicon wafer. Scaling down, which improves their performances, demands thinner SOI wafers. In this article, improvement on the thinning of SOI wafers by numerically controlled plasma chemical vaporization machining (PCVM) is described. PCVM is a gas-phase chemical etching method in which reactive species generated in atmospheric-pressure plasma are used. Some factors affecting uniformity are investigated and methods for improvements are presented. As a result of thinning a commercial 8 in. SOI wafer, the initial SOI layer thickness of 97.5+/-4.7 nm was successfully thinned and made uniform at 7.5+/-1.5 nm.  相似文献

Callosobruchus analis (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Bruchinae), found throughout tropical Asia and Africa, is a pest of stored legumes. Previous work has shown that females of this species produce a contact sex pheromone that elicits copulatory behavior in males. Comparisons of copulatory activity between any two of four congeneric species suggest that the contact sex pheromones are species specific. In laboratory bioassays, male C. analis exhibited copulatory behavior to a female dummy to which a crude extract of virgin females was applied. The extract had been collected by a filter paper method and was purified by acid–base partition and chromatographic techniques. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analyses of active fractions revealed that the active compounds were 2,6-dimethyloctane-1,8-dioic acid (1) and callosobruchusic acid, (E)-3,7-dimethyl-2-octene-1,8-dioic acid (2), previously identified as contact sex pheromones of Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) and C. chinensis (L.), respectively. The stereoisomeric and chemical compositions were determined by the 2D-HPLC-Ohrui-Akasaka method as (2S,6R)-1:(S)-2 = 1.8:1, which meant that both compounds in C. analis were stereochemically pure, unlike the case of C. maculatus and C. chinensis. An examination of the influence of synthetic pheromone compounds on male copulatory activity revealed that (2S,6R)-1 is the main component, and that (S)-2 has an additive effect. In the examination of the stereochemistry-activity relationship, no copulatory behavior was elicited by (2R,6S)-1, and, furthermore, the enantiomer significantly masked the pheromonal activity of (2S,6R)-1. Glass rod dummy assays also suggested the presence of synergists. These results could elucidate the specificity of mate recognition in C. analis.  相似文献

Hypotension during hemodialysis (HD) is an important problem in patients on HD. To investigate the risk factors that contribute to the hypotension during HD, we compared background factors of hypotensive (HP) patients during HD. Among 58 patients undergoing HD in Tamura Memorial Hospital, 12 patients could not continue full HD because of hypotension. We compared the data of ultrafiltration volume, cardiothoracic ratio (CTR), total protein (TP), serum albumin, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine, total cholesterol (TC), hemoglobin (Hb), blood glucose (BS), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), and cardiac function between HP patients (HP group; n=12) and sex- and age-matched control patients (NP group; n=12). There were no significant differences of age, sex, and duration of HD between the 2 groups. Cardiothoracic ratio is bigger and BNP is higher in the HP group compared with the NP group (CTR: HP 55.8+/-2.9% vs. NP 47.7+/-1.1%, p=0.0165; BNP: HP 602+/-171 vs. NP 147+/-38, p=0.0167). Serum albumin in the HP group is significantly lower compared with the NP group (HP 3.2+/-0.1 g/dL vs. NP 3.5+/-0.1 g/dL, p=0.0130). However, there were no significant differences of ultrafiltration rate (UFR), BS, TC, Hb, and cardiac function between the 2 groups. There is a significant negative correlation between changes of systolic blood pressure (delta systolic blood pressure) and serum albumin in these patients (r=-0.598, p=0.0016). From these data, we conclude that hypoalbuminemia is a major risk factor of hypotension during HD.  相似文献

In this letter, we fabricated 30-nm-gate pseudomorphic In0.52 Al0.48As/In0.7Ga0.3As HEMTs with multilayer cap structures to reduce source and drain parasitic resistances; we measured their dc and radio-frequency characteristics at 300, 77, and 16 K under various bias conditions. The maximum cutoff frequency fT was 498 GHz at 300 K and 577 GHz at 77 K. The maximum fT exceeded 600 GHz at 16 K. Even at a drain-source voltage V ds of 0.4 V, we obtained an fT of 500 GHz at 16 K. This indicates that cryogenic HEMTs are favorable for low-voltage and high-speed operations. Furthermore, the present 30-nm-gate HEMTs at 300 K show almost the same fT values at the same dc-power dissipation as compared to 85-nm-gate InSb-channel HEMTs. The improvement of the maximum-oscillation-frequency f max values was also observed at 77 and 16 K.  相似文献

In this work, elastic emission machining (EEM), which is a precise surface-preparation technique using chemical reactions between the surfaces of work and fine powder particles, is applied to the flattening 4H-SiC (0001) surface. Prepared surfaces are observed and characterized by optical interferometry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and low-energy electron diffraction (LEED). The obtained images show that the processed surface has atomic-level flatness, and the subsurface damage and surface scratches of the preprocessed surface are almost entirely removed.  相似文献

Acetylacetoin synthase (AACSase) and acetylacetoin reductase (AACRase) are representative enzymes of the 2,3-butanediol cycle. After examining their induction conditions in various bacteria, the former was induced by acetoin and the latter by glucose. All strains carrying AACSase also had AACRase, but the reverse was not true. Therefore, AACSase indicates the existence of the cycle. Acetylacetoin (AAC) accumulation or the ratio of 2,3-butanediol isomer formed also indicated the presence of the cycle in bacteria. This cycle is present in some strains and not in others even for those belonging to the same species. The cycle was not always associated with the representative 2,3-butanediol-producing bacteria or bacterial sporogenesis as reported previously.  相似文献

A 90° sector type spin rotator was developed for measurement of the z-direction component of a spin polarization, which is parallel to the emitter axis. The rotator enables us to measure all components of electron spins field-emitted from a single crystalline magnetite. In-plane component of spin polarization dominated of field-emitted electrons from single crystalline magnetite whisker, thus it is suggested that the magnetization of the magnetite whisker results from the anisotropy of crystalline structure rather than its shape.  相似文献
