Structural uses in the vehicle, aerospace, and sporting goods industries are being supplanted by hybrid composites that utilized natural fibers as reinforcements. The main focus of this work is to fabricate and characterize the ramie, hemp, and kevlar fabric reinforced hybrid vinyl ester composites. The composite laminates were fabricated via economically feasible and flexible hand lay-up technique. Overall six composites were prepared by varying the stacking sequence, including both hybrid and non-hybrid composites. The prepared composites were subjected to physical analysis (density, void fraction), mechanical tests (tensile, flexural, interlaminar shear, and impact test), morphological analysis (scanning electron microscopy), and water absorption test. The hybrid composites exhibited lesser void percentage than the non-hybrid composites. The mechanical properties were maximum for kevlar fabric skinned with core natural fabric reinforced composites (L-5, L-6) due to hybridization of highly strengthened kevlar fabrics. Moreover, the number fabric layers reinforced to achieve the standard thickness also affected the mechanical properties. All composite morphologies exhibited the same failure characteristics, including transverse interlaminar shear cracking, microbuckling, and fiber rip. The texture of the Kevlar yarns is uniform, but the texture of the natural fabric yarns is relatively less uniform. In comparison to the salt water medium, the percentage of water absorbed by composites in normal and distilled water was greater. This is due to the presence and accumulation of salt particles on the surface of the materials, which inhibits the action of water molecules, resulting in a drop in the proportion.  相似文献

A series of chemical optimizations, which was guided by in vitro affinity at histamine H3 receptor (H3R), modulation of lipophilicity, ADME properties and preclinical efficacy resulted in the identification of 1-[2-(1-cyclobutylpiperidin-4-yloxy)-6,7-dihydro-4H-thiazolo[5,4-c]pyridin-5-yl]propan-1-one ( 45 e ) as a potent and selective (Ki=4.0 nM) H3R inverse agonist. Dipsogenia induced by (R)-α-methylhistamine was dose dependently antagonized by 45 e , confirming its functional antagonism at H3R. It is devoid of hERG and phospholipidosis issues. Compound 45 e has adequate oral exposures and favorable half-life in both rats and dogs. It has demonstrated high receptor occupancy (ED80=0.22 mg/kg) and robust efficacy in object recognition task and, dose dependently increased acetylcholine levels in brain. The sub-therapeutic doses of 45 e in combination with donepezil significantly increased acetylcholine levels. The potent affinity, selectivity, in vivo efficacy and drug like properties together with safety, warrant for further development of this molecule for potential treatment of cognitive disorders associated with Alzheimer's disease.  相似文献

This study involvesthe numerical modeling of steady thermal radiation and chemical reaction on non-Newtonian fluid motion via a bidirectional stretching surface. We have taken convective boundary conditions, and heat sources on the stretching surface. The working fluid of the present study is Casson fluid (“non-Newtonian”) with couple stress. The self-similarity forms of the nonlinear thermal radiative flow model are obtained by using similarity variables. Furthermore, the numerical results are computed with the help of fourth-order Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method with a shooting algorithm after reducing nonlinear partial differential equations have been translated into strong ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Impacts of the various flow physical parameters especially Biot number, nonlinear thermal radiation, and heat source parameters containing nonlinear ODEs are discussed in detail for distinct numerical values. A comparison of calculated results with the known numerical results made with the previously published literature is mentioned and obtained a good agreement. Finally, we found that the R e x 1 / 2 C f x $R{e}_{x}^{1/2}{C}_{fx}$ (“coefficient of skin friction”) declines along x * , y * $x* ,\,y* $ directions, respectively, with β $\beta $ via λ $\lambda $ while the opposite direction follows M $M$ with respect to λ $\lambda $ and the R e x 1 / 2 N u x $R{e}_{x}^{-1/2}N{u}_{x}$ (“heat transfer rate”), R e x 1 / 2 S h $R{e}_{x}^{-1/2}Sh$ (“mass transfer rate”) increase with Γ $\Gamma $ via γ 1 ${\gamma }_{1}$ while opposite direction follows γ 1 ${\gamma }_{1}$ with respect to γ 2 ${\gamma }_{2}$ .  相似文献
