基于机载双频测雨雷达外场校飞试验中获取的有效降水测量数据,利用Ku波段的雨衰系数和等效雷达反射率因子的比值估算了雨滴谱分布参数.在此基础上,通过米散射模拟计算了Ka波段在该滴谱分布下的等效雷达反射率因子,并和机载Ka波段衰减订正后的等效雷达反射率因子进行了比对.结果表明:两者的廓线基本重合,相关系数超过0.95,两部雷达探测的目标物一致,测量的雷达反射率因子的差异主要是由雷达频率的不同所引起的后向散射以及衰减的不同所造成的,波束匹配精度较高.此外,单频滴谱参数的估计依赖于单频衰减订正的精度.机载雷达外场试验中探测的都是弱降水,Ku波段衰减订正不会存在太大的误差,估计的滴谱较为可靠.必须指出的是,精确的参数估计仍然要借助双频雷达的反演方法.  相似文献

QuikSCAT洋面风场资料可以提供海面上10米的风场信息,为热带气旋的进一步监测与分析提供帮助。通过对QuikSCAT洋面风轨道资料再处理和精度检验,国家卫星气象中心生成了更高分辨率的格点风场数据。通过洋面风资料对近年编号热带气旋的辅助分析实验,分析总结了洋面风资料在热带气旋定位、定强、发展趋势以及大风分析中的一些应用方法。结果表明:尽管存在一定误差,QuikSCAT洋面风场资料可以有效校正海上热带气旋特别是弱热带气旋的定位和定强偏差,反映热带气旋大风区的分布和低层环境流场,为进一步推断热带气旋的发展和移动趋势提供帮助。  相似文献

单多普勒雷达反演热带气旋近中心风场的VAP扩展应用方法   总被引:3,自引:3,他引:0  
在尝试运用VAP方法和扩展VAP(EVAP)方法,对"韦帕"台风期间移动天气雷达(CINRAD/CCJ)观测基数据进行单雷达风场反演时,发现部分区域出现风向、风速不合理的情况.分析认为,在热带气旋近中心区域风向风速变化均较剧烈,而上述两种算法的假定条件难以准确代表风场的实际变化.根据热带气旋发展成熟阶段的气旋环流近似轴对称的特点,文中提出一种新的假定条件,即在与热带气旋中心等距离的圆周上局地风速不变、风向均匀变化,对VAP方法进行扩展应用,称为EVAPTC(EVAP for Tropical Cyclone)方法.对理想模型流场试验及对实际个例的反演结果表明,EVAPTC方法简便,反演误差相对较小,能够基本反映出台风近中心的环流特点,尤其是螺旋云带上的风场特征.例如"韦帕"台风螺旋云带内侧有明显的辐合气流进入螺旋云带,螺旋云带尾部的外围气流绕着云体移动,螺旋云带上的强回波区存在着风场扰动等.  相似文献

利用2019年11月5日至12月13日厦门国家高空气象观测站的无线电探空仪数据和同期布设的多普勒测风激光雷达资料,对比分析二者的风速风向和通过梯度法反演的边界层高度。结果表明:(1)风速和风向的决定系数R~2分别达到0.91和0.98,一致性良好,450~1300 m高度范围内,对比效果最佳;(2)利用探空数据的温度廓线和测风激光雷达的雷达回波强度信号通过梯度法分别反演边界层高度,二者一致性很高,只是在边界层出现急流、云层和明显的污染等复杂情况时,探空数据反演的结果会明显大于测风激光雷达;(3)在出现降雨时,雷达探测高度明显降低,无法有效反演边界层高度。测风激光雷达不仅可以满足边界层内风场的精细化连续探测,也可以反演边界层高度。  相似文献

全球测雨卫星(GPM)携带首部Ka和Ku波段测雨雷达于2014年2月发射升空,继热带测雨卫星(TRMM)的单频测雨雷达探测后,实现双频测雨雷达(DPR)探测。本文基于DPR不同波段及不同方式探测反演给出的四种降水产品[Ka波段高精度探测(KaHS)、Ku波段探测(KuPR)、Ka匹配方式探测(KaMS)和Ka及Ku双频联合探测反演产品(DPR_MS)],对2014年的四个降水个例的降水结构特征进行了分析,并就DPR探测波段、扫描方式及反演算法所引起的降水产品中降水结构特征差异进行了比较与讨论。结果表明,所选四个个例分别位于中国东部、西北太平洋区域、风暴轴区域以及美国本土,四者发生背景及降水特征差异显著,但表现出了较为一致的产品差异特征。KaHS的回波顶高度最高,比KuPR高约0.1 km,其对弱降水(小于0.5 mm h-1)的观测性能好,但对10 mm h-1以上的强降水存在严重低估。KuPR继承了TRMM测雨雷达(PR)对强降水的观测性能,但受频率限制对0.5 mm h-1以下的弱降水观测能力有限。KaMS的整体降水强度分布与KaHS类似,但受高回波阈值限制,KaMS漏掉了大量弱降水样本,对强弱降水的观测性能均有限,且其平均回波顶高度比KuPR可低约1 km,常将融化层误判为回波顶高度,故不适宜单独使用。DPR_MS的降水反演算法具有独立性,对强降水和弱降水的反演能力都较强,而其回波顶高度主要继承于KuPR的回波顶高度。此外,DPR_MS双频反演的粒子谱最为合理,揭示了西北太平洋区域台风个例两侧眼壁粒子谱的不均匀性。  相似文献

为了研究星载测雨雷达和地基雷达探测数据存在差异的本质原因,将GPM(Global Precipitation Measurement Mission)星载双频测雨雷达(dual-frequency precipitation radar,DPR)和南京信息工程大学C波段双偏振雷达(CDP)的反射率因子进行时空匹配,并基于水凝物分类定量分析两者探测的相似性和差异性。结果表明:GPM DPR与CDP探测的反射率因子整体一致性较好,经过衰减订正和波段修正,两者的相关系数约为0.86,达到0.001显著性水平,均方根误差约为3.33 dB。基于T-矩阵法拟合C和Ku波段探测不同水凝物等效反射率因子的波段修正公式,在衰减订正基础上针对不同水凝物类型的回波进行波段修正,二者探测湿雪、霰、大滴和中雨回波的相关性较好;受干雪几何形状影响,探测干雪回波的相关性较低;探测大雨和冰晶回波的相关性较差。DPR中NS和HS模式探测存在差异,DPR NS模式对强回波敏感,而DPR HS模式对弱回波敏感。  相似文献

由于湍流、雷达探测灵敏度等对单波长云雷达探测回波强度谱密度的影响,造成了云雷达探测空气垂直运动速度和雨滴谱的误差,而双波长云雷达利用Mie散射造成的不同粒子后向散射大小差异来提高空气上升速度探测精度,从而提高反演雨滴谱的能力,并且可提高订正雨区衰减的能力。为此中国气象科学研究院研发了Ka/Ku双波段云雷达,并于2019年4月开始在广东龙门进行了云降水观测。本文针对该双波段云雷达观测模式和灵敏度等参数,在Gamma滴谱假设条件下,模拟分析了Ka、Ku波段功率谱及其比值与云降水参数、温度和湍流的关系,研究了雷达灵敏度、湍流对空气垂直速度、雨滴谱反演和衰减订正的影响,并利用个例数据进行了风场反演试验,讨论了双波段探测微降水动力和微物理参数的优势。结果表明:(1)温度只能影响两个波段功率谱比值(Ratio)的大小,对其峰值位置基本没有影响,而湍流对其峰值位置的影响不超过0.5 m·s~(-1);(2)湍流、雷达灵敏度对单波段云雷达探测空气垂直速度的影响比较明显,湍流使空气上升速度被高估,雷达最小可测回波强度随高度的增加而增加使该参数被低估,其影响远远大于温度和湍流对双波段云雷达反演空气垂直速度的影响;(3)对于单波段雷达来说,雷达灵敏度和湍流明显影响雨滴谱、含水量和衰减系数的探测,湍流使得雨滴谱拓宽,低估含水量和衰减系数;而雷达灵敏度却使反演的雨滴谱变窄,增加小粒子数浓度,并高估了含水量和衰减系数;(4)选取2019年4月15-16日的个例进行空气上升速度的反演,并与模拟分析的结果进行对比。结果显示实际观测数据反演的空气上升速度与模拟分析结果中的趋势较为一致。这项工作为单波段和双波段云雷达的多普勒功率谱数据分析和云降水微物理和动力参数的反演可提供参考。  相似文献

利用2019年4—9月高时空分辨率的长沙机场阵列天气雷达资料开展三维变分(three-dimensional variational data assimilation,3DVAR)风场反演研究。为验证该算法的反演效果,选取外场试验中10次降水过程,在阵列天气雷达的三维精细探测区内,采用阵列天气雷达合成风场和1部L波段边界层风廓线雷达产品作为参考值对阵列反演风场进行验证评估。结果表明:在稳定性降水条件下,阵列反演风场与阵列合成风场、风廓线雷达产品的结果较为一致;在对流性降水条件下,由于不均匀性会造成风廓线测风精度下降,风廓线雷达产品与阵列反演风场和阵列合成风场差异较大。阵列反演风场与阵列合成风场在稳定性、对流性降水条件下水平风速相对偏差分别低于19%,29%,水平风向差分别低于14.92°,26.35°,稳定性降水条件下阵列反演风场更优,误差在可接受范围内。两种算法得到的风场结构符合各类天气系统的基本特征,水平风场空间分布和风速、风向非常接近。  相似文献

中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所研制出机载全固态多普勒激光测风雷达,并成功进行了试验飞行。本文介绍了机载多普勒激光测风雷达的基本参数和探测三维风场的工作原理,并对利用激光回波信号和机载辅助数据反演三维风场的详细算法进行了研究,获得了3 000 m以下高度具有较高精度的三维风场,同时用经纬仪气球测风法进行了对比验证实验,验证了机载多普勒激光测风雷达测量数据的准确性。  相似文献

采用风廓线雷达5波束探测模式的数据对测风精度进行评估分析,用垂直波束和其中两个相邻倾斜波束的探测数据构成一对计算因子,通过对同一距离高度上的4对计算因子进行误差分析,评估风廓线雷达的测风精度,得到水平风在垂直指向连续高度上的精度。对北京延庆CFL-08风廓线雷达2010年3,6,9,12月4个典型代表月份逐日连续探测资料进行了处理分析,结果表明:该雷达满足风速误差不大于1.5 m·s-1、风向误差不大于10°探测精度要求的最大探测高度6月、9月为8 km,3月、12月为6 km,基本符合该雷达探测高度的设计要求。信噪比、大气风场的不均匀性是影响雷达测风精度的主要因素:信噪比影响了高空的测风精度,-15 dB可以作为判断雷达测风可信数据最大探测高度的阈值;晴空大气出现的风场不均匀性对风廓线雷达的测风精度影响不大,降水出现时环境风场不均匀性造成水平风向、风速的测量误差较大,不能满足测风精度要求,特别是对流性降水发生前的1~2 h,水平风向、风速的方差增长迅速,可以作为强降水出现的预警指标。  相似文献

2010年6—10月在天津与江苏地区开展了国内首次Ku/Ka频段星载降水测量雷达机载校飞试验。此次校飞试验获得了宝贵的机载雷达观测数据和地面、海面同步观测数据,目前已开展了外定标、数据对比与衰减订正等工作。该文给出了天津校飞试验中Ka频段降水测量雷达实测结果,对Ka频段降水测量雷达资料与天津地区S波段地基多普勒雷达资料进行了详细的对比分析,有利于更好地了解Ka频段降水测量雷达仪器本身的性能及其探测降水的能力;利用由GPS探空资料、地基多通道微波辐射计观测亮温结合微波辐射传输模式得到的雷达路径积分衰减量,对Ka频段降水测量雷达进行了衰减订正,为继续开展降水反演工作奠定了基础。  相似文献

面向风云卫星服务“一带一路”倡议,我国风云气象卫星在轨运行的静止和极轨两个系列6颗卫星,已经联合组成了服务“一带一路”星座布局,建立了风云卫星应急减灾数据服务机制。本文对利用FY-2H、FY-4A和FY-3C/D开展的“一带一路”热带气旋监测方法以及最新进展进行了概述,列举了2018年和2019年影响力较大的连续致灾热带气旋、跨海域热带气旋,以及双/三/四个热带气旋共存的典型个例。结果显示在基于风云卫星开展的“一带一路”热带气旋监测业务中,将热带气旋发生演变的原理与气象卫星不同仪器观测原理相结合,在热带气旋生命史不同阶段根据所关注的不同侧重点,分别对应应用风云气象卫星不同观测仪器,对于热带气旋全生命史监测预报有重要意义。  相似文献

We propose a new feature thinning method, which is herein used to screen scatterometer winds while maintaining the key structure of the wind field in the process of data thinning for highresolution satellite observations. We also accomplish feeding the ambiguous wind solutions directly into the data assimilation system, thus making better use of the retrieved information while simplifying the assimilation process of the scatterometer products. A numerical simulation experiment involving Typhoon Danas shows that our method gives better results than the traditional approach. The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF-ARW) model and its three-dimensional variational data assimilation (3D-Var) system are used to investigate the impact of the Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-A (AMSU-A) radiances on the prediction of Indian Ocean tropical cyclones. Three tropical cyclones are selected for this study: cyclone Mala (April 2006; Bay of Bengal), cyclone Gonu (June 2007; Arabian Sea), and cyclone Sidr (November 2007; Bay of Bengal). For each case, observing system experiments are designed, by producing two sets of analyses from which forecasts are initialized. Both sets of analyses contain all conventional and satellite observations operationally used, including, but not limited to, Quick Scatterometer (QuikSCAT) surface winds, Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) surface winds, Meteosat-derived atmospheric motion vectors (AMVs), and differ only in the exclusion (CNT) or inclusion (EXP) of AMSU-A radiances. Results show that the assimilation of AMSU-A radiances changes the large-scale thermodynamic structure of the atmosphere, and also produce a stronger warm core. These changes cause large forecast track improvements. In particular, without AMSU-A assimilation, most forecasts do not produce landfall. On the contrary, the forecasts initialized from improved EXP analyses in which AMSU-A data are included produce realistic landfall. In addition, intensity forecast is also improved. Even if the analyzed cyclone intensity is not affected by the assimilation of AMSU-A radiances, the predicted intensity improves substantially because of the development of warm cores which, through creation of stronger gradients, helps the model in producing intense low centre pressure.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to select a suitable sea wind retrieval method for FY-3B(MWRI). Based on the traditional empirical model of retrieving sea surface wind speed, and in the case of small sample size of FY-3B satellite load regression analysis, this paper analyzes the channel differences between the FY-3B satellite microwave radiation imager(MWRI) and TMI onboard the TRMM. The paper also analyzes the influence of these differences on the channel in terms of receiving temperature, including channel frequency, sensitivity and scaling precision. Then, the limited range of new model coefficient regression analysis is determined(in which the channel range settings include the information and features of channel differences), the regression methods of the finite field are proposed, and the empirical model of wind speed retrieval applicable to MWRI is obtained, which achieves robust results. Compared to the TAO buoy data, the mean deviation of the new model is 0.4 m/s, and the standard deviation is 1.2 m/s. In addition,the schematic diagram of the tropical sea surface wind speed retrieval is provided.  相似文献

Sea surface winds from the Oceansat-2 scatterometer (OSCAT) are important inputs to Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) recently updated the OSCAT retrieval algorithm in order to generate better products. An attempt has been made in this study to evaluate the updated OSCAT winds using buoy observations and the 6-hour short-term forecasts from the T574L64 model from the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF) during the 2011 monsoon. The results of the OSCAT evaluation are also compared with those from the Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT) on-board the Meteorological Operational Satellite-A (MetOp-A) which were evaluated in the same way. The root mean square differences (RMSDs) for wind speed and direction, are within 2?m?s?1 and 20° for both scatterometers. The RMSDs for OSCAT are slightly higher than those for ASCAT, and this difference may be attributed in part to the difference in frequency and resolution of the scatterometer payloads. The bias and standard deviation for ASCAT winds are also lower than those for OSCAT winds with respect to the model short-range forecast, and this can be attributed to the regular assimilation of ASCAT winds in the model.  相似文献

In September 2009, the Indian Space Research Organisation launched a Ku-band microwave scatterometer (OSCAT) onboard the polar orbiting satellite ‘Oceansat-2’. In this article, the capabilities of the newly available OSCAT sea-surface winds are demonstrated by studying the monsoon intra-seasonal variabilities during the 2010 summer monsoon season. A preliminary validation of OSCAT surface winds with European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (ECMWF) analysis surface winds carried out during June to August 2010 suggests that the quality of the OSCAT winds are able to meet the mission specifications. The observed mean monthly features of the Indian summer monsoon in July and August 2010 from OSCAT match well with those of ECMWF reanalysis winds. The OSCAT winds capture the known characteristics of the Indian summer monsoon, such as the northward propagation of a low level jet, and its preferred locations during active and break monsoon conditions, reasonably well. The Morlet wavelet transform is used for time series analysis. The OSCAT measured sea-surface winds were found to possess two dominant modes of variability during the 2010 monsoon season: one with a periodicity between 32 and 64?days, and another with a periodicity between 8 and 16?days. Rainfall activity over the Indian summer monsoon region is closely associated with the phases of the two above-mentioned dominant intra-seasonal variabilities. This study demonstrates that the OSCAT winds can be used very well and with confidence for meteorological studies.  相似文献

利用热带降雨测量卫星(TRMM)的微波成像仪(TMI)和星载测雨雷达(PR)资料,选取了2003年出现在西北太平洋亚洲季风区的热带气旋ETAU(T0310),采用间接对数组合方案建立了多频道线性回归算式,对4种不同分辨率(0.1°、0.2°、0.25°、0.5°)进行了TMI反演降水试验。结果表明,间接对数组合法能够较好地表征降水区的范围和强度分布,且反演结果稳定,是由微波亮温资料反演洋面降水的一种较为理想方法。采用0.2°和0.25°分辨率反演降水效果相对较好,具有实际应用价值,能对降水的宏观特征做出一定的指示。本文结果对于利用卫星微波遥感资料反演降水的研究具有一定参考价值。  相似文献
