State of knowledge of helminth fauna of freshwater fishes of Poland

A total 89 fish and lamprey species has been recorded from Polish freshwater habitats. Twenty-seven of them (30.3%) have not been surveyed for parasitic helminthes. Some of the latter fishes are either rare or not easily accessible. Other live only in specific habitats in scattered localities. An important obstacle for studying parasite faunas of some fishes may be their status on an endangered species. Among the non-surveyed fishes, are those which have been relatively recently introduced to Poland or migrated there on their own. The present paper attempts to review all hitherto not studied helminthologically fish species, their habitats, localities and current protection status.     

Complex of genotypes of cytokines as a genetic factor of risk of development of myocardial infarction of in Europien population of Russia men

Cytokines as regulators of activity of inflammation play significant role in mechanisms of formation of atherosclerotic plaques and in processes of their destabilization. One of leading genetic factors determining level of their production appears to be polymorphism of cytokine genes structure at their promoter loci. We have conducted an analysis of distribution in groups of healthy male and female survivors of myocardial infarction (MI) of combined genetic signs represented as a complex of genotypes of a number of studied cytokine genes : TNF-A863C; TNF-A308G; TNF-A238G; IL1B-C511T; IL1B-C-31T; IL4-C590T; IL6-C174G; IL10A-1082G IL10-A592C. Among these homozygous combinations of cytokine genotypes characterizing a group of men who have lived up to middle and old age without development of MI there are widely represented genotypes associated with high levels of production of both cytokines with pronounced proinflammatory (IL-1) and antiinflammatory (IL-4, IL-10) activity. Absence of such multidirectional combinations in genome of patients with myocardial infarction can be considered one of genetic factors of risk of development of acute distirbances of coronary circulation.

胰头增大的诊断及鉴别

分析我院临床难以确诊的64例胰头增大病员,经病理、手术证实其中胰头癌40例,慢性胰腺炎24例。结果提示术前胰头癌与慢性胰腺炎的鉴别应从临床表现、影象学所见特别是胰胆管的改变等进行综合分析。     

Effectiveness of early invasive strategy of treatment of angina of new onset

Aim of the study was to assess effectiveness of early invasive strategy of treatment of angina of new onset (ANO). We conducted comparative assessment on invasive and noninvasive risk estimation in 106 patients admitted to N.V.Sklifosofsky Institute of Urgent Aid in 2003-2007. Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) on symptom related artery (SRA) within single procedure were carried out in 74 cases (70%), indications to coronary artery bypass surgery were detected in 16 cases (15%), in 16 more cases conservative treatment was used. The data obtained showed that it is rational to consider ANO as unstable angina in all cases including those without progression. Visualization of coronary arteries gives possibility to define significance of SRA and zone at risk of injury, determine indications to myocardial revascularization, and avoid inadequacy of noninvasive assessment of risk and choice of treatment tactics. The method of choice in the treatment of patients with ANO is PCI performed during single procedure. Detection of indications to coronary artery bypass surgery in low risk patients and in absence of progression confirm necessity of routine use of invasive strategy which provides timely pathogenetic treatment. Absence of indications to myocardial revascularization detected in sporadic cases provides possibility to avoid groundless hospitalizations.
