基于Q值法的奖学金自动分配方案的设计与应用

为了实现奖学金在各院系间分配的席位公平和金额公平,在借鉴Q值法思想的基础上,将不公平值的计算分别应用到席位和金额的分配中,采取先分配奖学金席位,再按奖项金额和院系已获奖金总额将具体奖项分配给具有席位的院系的多阶段分配方式。与其他三种分配方案的分配结果进行对比表明,该分配方案能够获得更加公平的分配结果。该方案已在清华大学研究生奖学金系统中得到了实际应用,并取得了良好的应用效果。     

SYSTEMS EDUCATION AT THE FIELDING INSTITUTE

This is an exposition of the post-graduate program evolving at the Fielding Institute to train professionals in social praxis—ting system theory and methods into programs that effect social change. We illustrate herein how the practice of intervention in social systems calls upon systems praxis, and we argue that the practitioners must have, in addition to a background in the social sciences, a pragmatic access to theories of personal, social and institutional change. The foundation of an education for systems praxis requires intermingling theoretical ideas with skills that can affect the social system. We propose three essential elements for the education of system practitioners: (1) the process of decision-making. (2) processes of inquiry suitable to living systems at personal and at societal levels, and (3) system thinking. Finally, we describe how the whole process requires self-reflection and personal maturity to maintain authentic human engagement

Project report: the use of pilot to teach information technology concepts

Involving students in learning a small amount of programming language can enable the teacher to illustrate many of the important concepts of electronic information systems. It introduces them to experiential learning situations involving system design and operation, information handling and the man-machine interface. This paper describes how the authoring language PILOT has been used with arts and humanities undergraduates to increase their understanding of the power and potential of information technology, and to involve them in information problems that relate to their other humanities studies.Paul D. Nixon is currently Director of The Centre for Informatics at St. David's University College, Lampeter, Wales, U.K. The work at the Centre has been focussed on the development of information technology education for undergraduate and post-graduate humanities students.
