According to the application characteristics of low-earth-orbit satellite-borne global positioning system (GPS) receiver, the influence of GPS measurement data error on cycle-slip detection is analyzed. Then a modified TurboEdit preprocessing method is proposed. In the modified method, a weighted factor which closely relates to the GPS satellite elevation angle is introduced in the cycle-slip detection process. The weighted factor estimates the error of measurement data based on the variation of GPS elevation angle and establishes a relationship between the cycle-slip detection process and error of measurement data. Then the cycle-slip detection judgment is adjusted by the weighted factor. The modification algorithm not only reduces the fault rate of cycle-slip detection, but also promotes the autonomous ability of orbit determination by increasing the quantity of measurement data that will participate in low-earth-orbit-satellite orbit determination. Finally, the modified algorithm is verified by GPS measurement data of GRACE satellite formation. 相似文献

The presence of construction work zones on interstates impacts the traveling conditions encountered by motorists. These changes not only affect the traveling public, but also the workers that perform the construction. The impacts of the work being performed also tend to cause queuing. In addition, these periods of construction operations have been linked to an increase in the number of accidents and fatalities that involve road-users and construction crews. A research project was undertaken to evaluate possible options to improve the safety of construction work zones on interstates in the state of Indiana. One component of this project dealt with the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) to collect traffic data and to relate the traveling conditions encountered with the differing construction activities taking place. This paper describes the GPS study conducted in three different rural work zones on Interstate 65 in Indiana. Multiple runs were conducted at each location to analyze the impact of traveling conditions to changes in lane restrictions during construction periods on traveling conditions. 相似文献

This paper presents a comparative analysis of three different infrastructure assessment tools currently used by the U.S. Army’s combat engineer small units (squad, platoon, company). The infrastructure assessment tools included one pen and paper checklist and two software-based tools based on specialized handheld hardware for data collection in combat conditions. Evaluation was conducted using macroergonomic and applied cognitive task analysis methods with soldiers of varying levels of infrastructure assessment expertise. Each assessment method was evaluated based on performance (time, errors, and accuracy) and usability (ergonomic and cognitive challenges). We found that soldiers documented more accurate data using handheld digital devices instead of pen-and-paper assessment forms, but there was little difference in time between the methods. Contrary to initial expectation, we also found that most soldiers prefer a slightly more difficult to use handheld assessment device with customized checklists rather than an easier to use, less restrictive device. Critiques developed by this research can be used to improve engineering and construction organizations as well as add to our design guidelines for portable infrastructure assessment tools and methods. 相似文献

The problem of identification of the modal parameters of a structural model using complete input and incomplete response time histories is addressed. It is assumed that there exist both input error (due to input measurement noise) and output error (due to output measurement noise and modeling error). These errors are modeled by independent white noise processes, and contribute towards uncertainty in the identification of the modal parameters of the model. To explicitly treat these uncertainties, a Bayesian framework is adopted and a Bayesian time-domain methodology for modal updating based on an approximate conditional probability expansion is presented. The methodology allows one to obtain not only the optimal (most probable) values of the updated modal parameters but also their uncertainties, calculated from their joint probability distribution. Calculation of the uncertainties of the identified modal parameters is very important if one plans to proceed with the updating of a theoretical finite-element model based on these modal estimates. The proposed approach requires only one set of excitation and corresponding response data. It is found that the updated probability density function (PDF) can be well approximated by a Gaussian distribution centered at the optimal parameters at which the posterior PDF is maximized. Numerical examples using noisy simulated data are presented to illustrate the proposed method. 相似文献

In the interaction of the forces responsible for the motion of batch and gases, account must be taken not only of the gravitational force on the batch column but also of the gravitational force on the gases. Accordingly, the difference in the work of the gravitational forces on fluxes corresponding to the lower and upper pressure losses must be determined. In situ bioremediation (ISB) has been shown to be an effective and cost-efficient method for remediating contaminated ground water and soil. One of the major disadvantages associated with this process is the lack of available kinetic information. The viability of respirometry to determine the relevant biokinetic parameters for degradation of contaminants in groundwater has been proven; however, little work has been done using soil systems. This work investigated the applicability of using respirometer data to determine the biokinetic parameters for soil systems. The specific soil investigated was contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which contain 16 EPA priority pollutants. The work also investigated a logarithmic growth and modified Lineweaver-Burke approach for experimentally determining the maximum specific growth rate from batch degradation data. As expected, this research concluded that determining all biokinetic parameters from respirometer data was not a viable method for soil systems. Obtaining the maximum specific growth rate from batch degradation data provided more accurate results. 相似文献
