In the paper we propose an approach for the construction of meta-CASE workbenches. The approach is based on the technology of visual language generation systems and on UML meta modeling. Visual modeling environments are generated starting from UML class diagrams specifying abstract syntax of the underlying visual language. The meta-CASE generates a workbench by integrating a set of visual modeling environments through inter-consistency constraints defined on the corresponding UML class diagrams.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the validation of visual software models. The aim of the validation is to verify whether the models match the visual project language, which is a dialect of a standard visual modeling language (UML, SDL, etc.) created with regard to specific features of the particular project on software development. In the paper, an architecture of a validator designed for both interactive and batch modes is suggested. An approach to specifying visual project languages by means of OCL constraints imposed on the UML metamodel with the subsequent automated generation of validators in accordance with the architecture described is suggested. Results of approbation of the validator and the validator generator in the framework of an industry project are presented.  相似文献

基于角色的访问控制模型(RBAC)凭借其灵活的授权机制、强大的管理功能和完善的安全策略越来越引起人们的研究兴趣,随着研究的不断深入,面向对象的研究方法也逐渐应用到这个模型中,促进了它的迅速发展。UML作为一种强大的建模语言,不只是局限于支持面向对象的分析与设计,还支持从需求分析开始的软件开发的全过程,通过UML的描述可以使理论模型更加直观地应用到实际系统开发。该文使用UML的对象约束语言(OCL)来描述RBAC中的相关约束,使约束描述更加标准化,更有利于系统开发人员对模型的理解和促进RBAC模型的系统开发。  相似文献

Unified modeling language (UML) is the standard modeling language for object-oriented system development. Despite its status as a standard, UML has a fuzzy formal specification and a weak theoretical foundation. Semiotics, the study of signs, provides a good theoretical foundation for UML research because graphical notations (or visual signs) of UML are subjected to the principles of signs. In our research, we use semiotics to study the effectiveness of graphical notations in UML. We hypothesized that the use of iconic signs as UML graphical notations leads to representation that is more accurately interpreted and that arouses fewer connotations than the use of symbolic signs. An open-ended survey was used to test these hypotheses. The results support our propositions that iconic UML graphical notations are more accurately interpreted by subjects and that the number of connotations is lower for iconic UML graphical notations than for symbolic UML graphical notations. The results have both theoretical and practical significance. This study illustrates the usefulness of using semiotics as a theoretical underpinning in analyzing, evaluating, and comparing graphical notations for modeling constructs. The results of this research also suggest ways and means of enhancing the graphical notations of UML modeling constructs.  相似文献

在基于组件的软件开放方式(CBD)下,软件系统是一些盯互联系的可重用组件的集合,因此需要对系统的每一个组件以及组件之间的相互关系有很好的理解。UML作为一种标准建模语言,不仅可以支持面向对象的分析与设计,而且能够有力地支持从需求分析开始的软件开发全过程。但是UML对组件建模的支持并不理想,这就需要开发一种能很好支持组件建模的方法。本文提出一种用UML描述组件规格说明的方法。将组件规格说明分解成组件接口规格说明。通过对组件的每个接口和组件接口之间的相互关系加以形式描述,从而达到组件规格说明的清晰性和精确性。  相似文献

UML is currently the most widely used modeling language for the specification of the conceptual schema (CS) of an information system (IS). However, UML falls short when it comes to allow business people to define in their own language (e.g. using their own terms in natural language) the policies and rules by which they run their business. To this purpose, the semantics of business vocabulary and business rules (SBVR) metamodel specification was proposed. Model transformation is a fundamental technology in the MDA. Therefore, model transformations should be treated as first class entities, that is, models. One could use the metamodel of SDM, a graph based object transformation language, as the metamodel of such transformation models. However, there are two problems associated with this. First, SDM has a non-standardized metamodel, meaning a specific tool (Fujaba) would be needed to write transformation specifications. Secondly, due to assumptions of the code generator, the transformations could only be deployed on the Fujaba tool itself. In this paper, we describe how these issues have been overcome through the development of a template based code generator that translates instances of a UML profile for SDM to complete model transformation code that complies to the JMI standard. We have validated this approach by specifying a simple visual refactoring in one UML tool and deploying the generated plugin on another UML tool.  相似文献

Graph transformation has recently become more and more popular as a general, rule-based visual specification paradigm to formally capture (a) requirements or behavior of user models (on the model-level), and (b) the operational semantics of modeling languages (on the meta-level) as demonstrated by benchmark applications around the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The current paper focuses on the model checking-based automated formal verification of graph transformation systems used either on the model-level or meta-level. We present a general translation that inputs (i) a metamodel of an arbitrary visual modeling language, (ii) a set of graph transformation rules that defines a formal operational semantics for the language, and (iii) an arbitrary well-formed model instance of the language and generates a transitions system (TS) that serve as the underlying mathematical specification formalism of various model checker tools. The main theoretical benefit of our approach is an optimization technique that projects only the dynamic parts of the graph transformation system into the target transition system, which results in a drastical reduction in the state space. The main practical benefit is the use of existing back-end model checker tools, which directly provides formal verification facilities (without additional efforts required to implement an analysis tool) for many practical applications captured in a very high-level visual notation. The practical feasibility of the approach is demonstrated by modeling and analyzing the well-known verification benchmark of dining philosophers both on the model and meta-level.  相似文献

The Object Management Group (OMG) unified modeling language (UML) profile for modeling and analysis of real-time and embedded systems (MARTE) aims at using the general-purpose modeling language UML in the domain of real-time and embedded (RTE) systems. To achieve this goal, it is absolutely required to introduce inside the mainly untimed UML an unambiguous time structure which MARTE model elements can rely on to build precise models amenable to formal analysis. The MARTE Time model has defined such a structure. We have also defined a non-normative concrete syntax called the clock constraint specification language (CCSL) to demonstrate what can be done based on this structure. This paper gives a brief overview of this syntax and its formal semantics, and shows how existing UML model elements can be used to apply this syntax in a graphical way and benefit from the semantics.  相似文献

Role-based access control (RBAC) is a flexible approach to access control, which has generated great interest in the security community. The principal motivation behind RBAC is to simplify the complexity of administrative tasks. Several formal models of RBAC have been introduced. However, there are a few works specifying RBAC in a way which system developers or software engineers can easily understand and adopt to develop role-based systems. And there still exists a demand to have a practical representation of well-known access control models for system developers who work on secure system development. In this paper we represent a well-known RBAC model with software engineering tools such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object Constraints Language (OCL) to reduce a gap between security models and system developments. The UML is a general-purpose visual modeling language in which we can specify, visualize, and document the components of a software system. And OCL is part of the UML and has been used for object-oriented analysis and design as a de facto constraints specification language in software engineering arena. Our representation is based on a standard model for RBAC proposed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. We specify this RBAC model with UML including three views: static view, functional view, and dynamic view. We also describe how OCL can specify RBAC constraints that is one of important aspects to constrain what components in RBAC are allowed to do. UML是OMG用于软件系统的可视化、详述、构造和文档化的统一建模语言,状态图是UML模型的重要组成部分,用于描述系统的动态行为.在研究Rational Rose及其状态图文档的基础上,提出了通过UML状态图自动提取模型信息的两种方法-基于LALR(1)文法和基于Rose的扩展接口的提取方法,并对两种方法进行了比较分析.自动提取模型信息技术提高了协议测试序列的自动生成效率.  相似文献

为平台无关的UML模型元素(如类、接口)增加行为协议通常没有有效的解决方法。提出了一种基于模型转换实现行为协议的方法,编写了模型转换规则将状态机描述的行为协议元数据自动转换为UML操作元素的约束,运用OCL验证器和代码生成器对转换后的UML模型进行自动验证和代码生成。该方法为行为协议的自动验证、与模型元素同步和规范的正确实施提供了有效支持。  相似文献

The semantics of the UQL, its scope, and interfaces based on this language are discussed.
