Eu2+-doped K2 Mg Si3O8 phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. The phase formation of as-prepared samples was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. The luminescence properties were investigated by the photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, decay curve and CIE coordinates. The phosphor showed bluish-green emission centered at 460 nm under the excitation of UV and near UV light with the wavelength range of 250–430 nm. Two Eu2+ emission centers existed in the K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ phosphor according to the luminescence spectra and the decay curves. The critical quenching concentration of Eu2+ doping was determined to be 3.0 mol.% and the concentration quenching mechanism was dipole-dipole interactions between Eu2+ ions. These results suggested that K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ was a potential bluish-green phosphor candidate for white UV-LED.  相似文献

The blue-green emitting Eu2+ and Nd3+ doped polycrystalline barium aluminate(BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+) phosphor, was prepared by a solution-combustion method at 500 oC without a post-annealing process. The characteristic variation in the structural and luminescence properties of the as-prepared samples was evaluated with regards to a change in the Ba/Al molar ratio from 0.1:1 to 1.4:1. The morphologies and the phase structures of the products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), while the optical properties were investigated using ultra-violet(UV) and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy, respectively. The XRD and TEM results revealed that the average crystallite size of the BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Nd3+ phosphor was about 70 nm. The broad-band UV-excited luminescence of the phosphors was observed at λmax=500 nm due to transitions from the 4f65d1 to the 4f7 configuration of the Eu2+ ion. The PL results indicated that the main peaks in the emission and excitation spectrum of phosphor particles slightly shifted to the short wavelength due to the changes in the crystal field due to the structure changes caused by the variation in the quantity of the Ba ions in the host lattice.  相似文献

A novel red phosphor Ca2GeO4:Eu3+ was prepared by the traditional solid state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis suggested that there was no impurity phase. The study on the diffusion reflection spectra of the undoped and Eu3+ doped Ca2GeO4 phosphors revealed an absorption band superposed of that of the host material and the Eu3+ ions. And the excitation spectrum presented a dominating broad band at 250–300 nm which was attributed to both the host material absorption and the charge transfer band (CTB) of the Eu3+ ions. The investigation on the excitation and diffusion spectra showed that there was an effective energy transfer from the host material to the Eu3+ ions. This was favorable to the red emission of the phosphor. Photoluminescence measurements indicated that the phosphor presents bright red emission at 611 nm under UV excitation. In addition, the Al3+ or Li+ codoping enhanced the red emission from Ca2GeO4:Eu3+ by about 3 and 2 times respectively under UV excitation.  相似文献

A series of red phosphors M3BO6:Eu3+(M=La,Y) were synthesized at 1150 oC by conventional solid state reaction method and their luminescent properties were investigated.Structural characterization of the luminescent materials was carried out with X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) analysis.Photoluminescence measurements indicated that the La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor exhibited bright red emission centered at about 612 nm 626 nm under UV excited.La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor had better luminescent intensity than Y3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors under the same excitation and measuring conditions. It was shown that the 0.08 mol.% Eu3+ ions in La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphors was optimal. The color parameter indicated that La3BO6:Eu3+ phosphor was a preferable red phosphor for white LED.  相似文献

The cerium(Ce3+) doped yttrium aluminium borate(YAB) phosphor was synthesized by modified solid state reaction. The phosphor's phase purity and its emission properties were studied using powder X-ray diffraction pattern and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The synthesized YAB had rhomobohedral crystal structure. The phosphor had two different excitation and emission spectra.By 325 nm excitation, the phosphor had emission at 373 nm and with 363 nm excitation; the phosphor gave violet-blue emission at 418 nm.The UV emission of the phosphor originated due to Ce3+ ions at the yttrium site and violet-blue emission owing to Ce3+ ions at non-regular sites viz., Al3+ and interstitial sites. The emission intensity of the phosphor was enhanced when monovalent ions(K+, Na+, and F–) were added as co-dopants. The crucial role of ionic radii of monovalent co-dopants on the emission enhancement of the YAB:Ce3+ phosphor was reported. Thermogravimetric study showed that the YAB possessed high thermal stability at up to 900 ℃.  相似文献

Eu2+ and Dy3+ codoped(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2 yellow phosphors were successfully synthesized by self-flux method. The structure, morphology and photoluminescence properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and photoluminescence spectra. The as-prepared phosphor showed a broad emission spectrum centered at 550 nm for Eu2+single-doped phosphor, while located at 548–544 nm for the Eu2+, Dy3+ codoped samples under excitation at 380 nm light. The emission intensity was greatly improved when Dy3+ was doped into the(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:Eu2+ system. The composition-optimized sample with 3 mol.% of Dy3+ and constant 10 mol.% of Eu2+ exhibited a 220% PL enhancement compared to the phosphor with 10 mol.% Eu2+ single-doped. Meanwhile, it was found that the quantum efficiency of phosphor namely(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:3 mol.% Dy3+, 10 mol.% Eu2+ could get up to 24.6%. The synthesized yellow-emitting(Ca,Sr)7(SiO3)6Cl2:Dy3+,Eu2+ is a promising candidate as high-efficiency yellow phosphor for NUV-excited white LEDs.  相似文献

K2Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction. The emission and excitation spectra of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+ phosphors exhibited that the phosphors could be effectively excited by near ultraviolet (394 nm) and blue (465 nm) light, and emitted red light at 616 nm. The influence of Eu3+concentration, sintering temperature and charge compensators (K+, Na+ or Li+ ) on the emission intensity were investigated. The results indicated that concentration quenching of Eu3+ was not observed within 30mol.% Eu 3+, 600 oC was a suitable sintering temperature for preparation of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:Eu3+phosphors, and K+ ions gave the best improvement to enhance the emission intensity. The CIE chromaticity coordinates of K2 Ba(MoO4)2:0.05Eu3+phosphor were calculated to be (0.68, 0.32), and color purity was 97.4%.  相似文献

A novel orange phosphor Eu3+ doped barium zirconate(BaZrO3) was synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method and its crystal structure and luminescent properties were investigated in this paper. The X-ray diffraction patterns(XRD) showed that simple BaZrO3 phase was obtained.Monitoring at 596 nm,the excitation spectrum consisted of a broad band and a series of narrow bands and the stronger excitation peaks located at 275 and 393 nm,respectively. The emission spectrum excited by 393 nm UV light was composed of four narrow bands. The strongest emission was located at 596 nm.The appropriate concentration of Eu3+ was 0.025(molar fraction) for the highest emission intensity at 596 nm.The H3BO3 and ammonium were added as flux and the results showed that 2 wt.% NH4F ions was the optimal flux for BaZrO3:Eu3+.  相似文献

A needle-like Eu2+ and Dy3+ co-doped BaAl2O4 long-lasting phosphor was synthesized via a hydrothermal-homogeneous precipitation method assisted by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) as a template. The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of the composites were characterized.XRD results showed that the single-phase BaAl2O4 was formed at 900 ℃ in an active carbon atmosphere, which was much lower than that prepared by traditional solid-state reaction method.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) observation revealed that the precursor had well-dispersed distribution and showed needle-like morphology with the average diameter of about 100 nm and the length up to 1 μm.The final product,BaAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor, inherited the needle-like shape from precursor via adding the surfactant CTAB.After irradiation by ultraviolet radiation with 355 nm for 5 min,the phosphors emitted bluish green color long-lasting phosphorescence corresponding to the typical emission of Eu2+ ion. Both the photoluminescence spectra and luminance decay revealed that the phosphor had efficient luminescent and long-lasting properties.  相似文献

A novel red phosphor Eu3+ doped magnesium titanate (MgTiO3) was synthesized via sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) revealed that a pure MgTiO3 phase was obtained. Its excitation spectrum consisted of a broad band (<350nm) and a series of narrow bands in the long wavelength, and the strongest excitation peak at 465nm might be exited by GaN-chip to emit red light for white LED. The phosphors showed strong emission at 614nm which could be attributed to the 5D0→7F2 emission of Eu3+ . The emission intensity of MgTiO3:Eu3+ phosphor reached the maximum at the Eu3+ concentration of 3.5mol.%. The luminescent properties (such as emission intensity and decay times) were further improved by introducing Al3+ as a charge compensator, demonstrating potential applications in white LED.  相似文献

A series of Y1–xPO4:x Tb3+(x=0.005–0.1) phosphors were successfully fabricated by using co-precipitation method with NH4H2PO4 as phosphorus source. The structure and morphology characterization of the luminescent material was investigated with X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). The XRD patterns indicated that the samples belonged to tetragonal phase. Luminescence properties were discussed by measuring the excitation and emission spectra. The phosphor could be excited by UV light(340–390 nm) and emitted green light, with the emission peaks located at 491(5D4→7F6), 550(5D4→7F5), 589(5D4→7F4) and 624 nm(5D4→7F3). In addition, the p H value and activator concentration had great effects on the emission intensity. The results illuminated that this phosphor could be used for UV based white light emitting diodes and co-precipitation method could be used to prepare better appearance phosphor.  相似文献

A series of red phosphors Ca10Li (PO4)7:Eu3+ were synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method. Their luminescence properties were characterized by means of photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra,CIE chromaticity and quantum efficiency. Results indicated that the phosphors could be effectively excited by the near ultraviolet (NUV) light (393 nm). The main emission peaks of the phosphor were ascribed to the transition 5D0-7F2 (613 and 617 nm) of Eu3+ ion when samples were excited by...  相似文献

BaGdB9O16:Eu3+ and Ba(Gd,Ln)B9O16:Eu3+(Ln=La, Y) phosphors were synthesized by solid state diffusion method. The X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and photoluminescence properties were investigated. The as-synthesized BaGdB9O16:Eu3+ and Ba(Gd,Ln)B9O16:Eu3+(Ln=La, Y) phosphors showed strong red emission under ultraviolet light excitation. By partially substituting Gd3+ by La3+ and Y3+ ions in the host BaGdB9O16:Eu3+ materials, the maximum emission intensity was observed for the optimum composition of BaGd0.91La0.8B9O16Eu0.01 phosphor. The experimental results indicated that the Eu doped BaGdB9O16 and Ba(Gd,Ln)B9O16(Ln=La, Y) phosphors were promising red phosphors, which might find potential applications in near-UV excited LED lighting as well as display devices. Comparison of as-synthesized phosphors with standard phosphor used in CFL(compact fluorescent lamp) was also done. Energy transfer mechanism of Gd3+ to Eu3+ was also discussed in this paper.  相似文献

A novel green phosphor,Sr_2MgB_2O_6:Tb~(3+),Li~+ for white light-emitting diodes was prepared by solid-state reactions, and its structure and luminescence properties were investigated. The excitation and emission spectra indicated that this as-prepared phosphor could be effectively excited by ultraviolet 368 nm,and exhibited bright green emission centered at 545 nm corresponding to the~5D_4→~7F_5 transition.9 mol.%of Tb~(3+) was shown to be optimal.Good green emissions with the CIE chromaticity coordinates(0.262,0.583) could be achieved.Furthermore, the integrated emission intensity of Sr_2MgB_2O_6:0.09Tb~(3+),0.09Li~+ phosphor decreased continuously to 72.1%at 300 ℃ with increasing temperature, and the activation energy of thermal quenching(E_a) was calculated to be0.175 eV,moreover, the quantum yield excited by 368 nm was measured as 11.1%.A green emission LED was made by coating Sr_2MgB_2O_6:0.09Tb~(3+),0.09Li~+ phosphor on a NUV(365-370 nm) chip. Our results showed that Sr_2MgB_2O_6:Tb~(3+),Li~+ is a kind of potential green-emitting phosphor and features good thermal stability.  相似文献

The blue-emitting phosphor NaBaPO4:Eu2+ was prepared by the combustion method. The phase structure and microstructure of the as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. Under the excita-tion wavelength of 360 nm, the emission spectrum exhibited only one blue band centering at 435 nm, which was ascribed to the 4f65d1→4f7 transition on Eu2+ ions. Compared with the phosphor obtained by solid-state reaction method, the relative emission intensity of sample ob-tained by combustion method increased slightly. The decay times and the temperature dependence luminescence intensities (25-300 oC) were discussed in order to further investigate the potential applications. Furthermore, Eu2+-doped NaBaPO4 phosphor showed higher thermally sta-ble luminescence comparable to commercially available Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG:Ce3+) phosphor. All the investigated suggestions that Na-BaPO4:Eu2+ is a good phosphor candidate applied in white light emitting diode.  相似文献

Nanoscale Lu2O3:Eu3+ phosphor was prepared by a modified solution combustion method using urea and acrylamide monomer. The particle sizes and photoluminescent properties of nano-phosphor were closely related to the molar ratio of urea-to-RE nitrates and acrylamide monomer-to-RE nitrates. The as-prepared samples with the sizes of 9.6-11.6 nm were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometer.Lu2O3:Eu3+ nano-phosphor that depicted high photoluminescence in the size around 10 nm was reported.Compared with the sample prepared by solid state reaction, the photoluminescence of sample was increased sufficiently to be 45.1%.The emission spectra of the samples presented the typical emission from 5D0 level to 7FJ(J=0,1,2,3,4) level of the Eu3+ ion.  相似文献

A series of NaBa1-x-yPO4: xCe3+, yTb3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, photoluminescence emission and excitation spectra and decay times of the phosphors were carefully investigated. The results revealed that an efficient energy transfer occurred from Ce3+ to Tb3+ ions in NaBaPO4 host by means of dipole-dipole interactions and the critical distance of the energy transfer was about 0.638 nm. Moreover, the phosphor emitted strong green emission under UV excitation, indicating that the phosphors are potentially useful as a highly efficient, green-emitting phosphor.  相似文献

A novel red emitting phosphor Gd2(MoO4)3:Eu^3+ was prepared by solid reaction, using Gd2O3, Eu2O3 and WO3 as starting matedals and NH4F as flux. The effects of flux content and Eu^3+ concentration on the crystal structure, morphology and luminescent properties were investigated using XRD, SEM and fluorescent spectrum measurement. The XRD patterns showed that the resultants had the monoclinic structure. With the increase in flux amount, their crystallization significantly improved. The SEM images indicated that the mean size of the phosphor particles was around 2 μm, and agglomeration of the phosphor particles appeared while introducing higher flux amount. The excitation spectra exhibited more intense f-f transitions originating from ground state 7^F0 to upper states 5^L6 and 5^D2 than the charge transfer band. The concentration quenching of Eu^3+ emission indicated that energy transfer from Eu^3+ to molybdate host existed even at lower Eu^3+ concentration.  相似文献
