The quintessence of this article encompasses the effect of diffusiophoresis, chemical reaction, and varying viscosity as well as thermal conductivity on a fully developed dissipative flow through an upright channel. The fluid is electrically conducting undergoing mixed convection. The governing equations, after transfiguring into dimensionless formation, are solved through a numerical procedure for boundary value problems incorporating MATLAB solver. Imperative scrutiny is made to visualize associative impacts of flow parameters, namely, magnetic parameter, the Brinkmann number, the Schmidt number, variable viscosity parameter, variable thermal conductivity parameter, chemical reaction parameter, diffusiophoretic parameter, and particle diffusion parameter, on the flow. The velocity field, the temperature field, the solute concentration field, the particle concentration field, the skin friction, the Nusselt number, the Sherwood number, and the particle concentration gradient are assessed in view of alteration of the aforesaid parameters with the help of visual illustrations in graphical form and tabular form. Solute mass transposition and colloidal particle locomotion are the fresh inclusions to the scrutiny of upright channel flow in light of solving scheme of bvp4c. Chemical reaction engulfs both solute and particle concentration. Growing viscosity hinders the fluid velocity and heats up the flow encouraging interlayer friction.  相似文献

This study deals with an analysis of the time-dependent dynamics of micropolar fluid flow subject to Lorentz force, diffusion thermal, and viscous dissipation effect past a uniformly moving semi-infinite porous plate in the presence of chemical reaction. Expressions of velocity, microrotation, concentration, temperature, skin friction, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number are established and the effect of several parameters on them are represented graphically. Equations governing the flow and heat transfer are solved by adopting the regular perturbation technique. It is noticed that temperature distribution as well as the coefficient of friction is enhanced due to the diffusion thermo effect. It is observed that the microrotation increases with increasing magnetic parameters. Furthermore, the study confirms a drop in fluid concentration under the composition of species.  相似文献

The problem of a hydromagnetic convective flow of an electrically incompressible viscous conducting fluid past a uniformly moving vertical porous plate is investigated analytically, taking into consideration radiation and thermal diffusion effects. A constant suction velocity is applied to the plate. A uniformly strong magnetic field is supposed to be applied normally to the plate and directed into the fluid region. To find a solution to the problem, an asymptotic series expansion method is used. The effects of thermal diffusion, magnetic field, porosity parameter, thermal radiation, and Grashof number are mainly focused on the discussion of the current problem. Increasing Soret number (Sr) hikes the velocity profile and skin friction but declines Sherwood number. Also, it has been found that, when the magnetic parameter (M) increased, the fluid velocity and the concentration profile decreased. The current results show a good deal of agreement with previously published work. The findings of this study could be relevant in a variety of applications, including diffusion processes involving molecular diffusion of species with molar concentration.  相似文献

An incompressible, electrically conducting, and viscous fluid flowing steadily and freely across a uniformly porous media that is partially constrained by an infinitely long vertical porous plate is studied in the present article. Additionally, chemical reaction and radiation absorption effects are seen. Here, a magnetic field of uniform strength is applied transversely to the plate, a normal suction velocity is imposed on the fluid, and the heat flux is considered to be constant. The non-dimensional momentum and energy equations are solved using the method of perturbation. The problem has been analytically resolved, and several parameters, including the Hartmann number, porosity parameter, thermal Grashof number, mass Grashof number, and transport properties like the Sherwood number, skin friction, and plate temperature, are graphically represented. The current study reveals a spike in the radiation absorption effect causes skin friction to drop, but on the other hand, a contrary effect is observed for plate temperature. One of the notable findings of this investigation is that the Sherwood number increases as chemical reaction parameter influence increases.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the effects of Hall current, radiation absorption and diffusion thermo on unsteady magnetohydromagnetic free convection flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting and chemically reacting second-grade fluid past an inclined porous plates in the presence of an aligned magnetic field, thermal radiation, and chemical reaction. An exact analytical solution of the governing equations for fluid velocity, fluid temperature, and species concentration subject to appropriate initial and boundary conditions is obtained using the perturbation technique. Expressions for shear stress, rate of heat transfer, and rate of mass transfer at the plate are derived. The numerical values of primary and secondary fluid velocities, fluid temperature and species concentration are displayed graphically, whereas those of shear stress and rate of mass transfer at the plate are presented in tabular form for various values of pertinent flow parameters. In addition, the skin friction on the boundary, the heat flux expressed in terms of the Nusselt number, and the rate of mass transfer described in the Sherwood number are all derived, and their behavior is studied computationally. It can be deduced that an increase in radiation absorption and hall current parameters over the fluid region increases the velocity produced. The resulting velocity continually increases to a very high level, with contributions coming from thermal and solutal buoyancy forces. Skin friction may decrease by manipulating the rotation parameter, but the Hall effect can worsen it. When the parameter for the chemical reaction increases, there is a concomitant rise in the mass transfer rate.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to examine the magnetohydrodynamic mixed convection Casson fluid flow over an inclined flat plate along with the heat source/sink. The present flow problem is considered under the assumption of the chemical reaction and thermal radiation impacts along with heat and mass transport. The leading nonlinear partial differential equations of the flow problem were renovated into the nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) with the assistance of appropriate similarity transformations and then we solved these ODEs with the employment of the bvp4c technique using the computational software MATLAB. The consequences of numerous leading parameters such as thermophoretic parameter, local temperature Grashof number, solutal Grashof number, suction parameter, magnetic field parameter, Prandtl number, chemical reaction parameter, Dufour number, Soret number, angle of inclination, radiation parameter, heat source/sink, and Casson parameter on the fluid velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles are discoursed upon  and presented through different graphs. Some important key findings of the present investigation are that the temperature of the Casson fluid becomes lower for local temperature Grashof number and solutal Grashof number. It is initiated that the Casson fluid parameter increases the velocity of the fluid whereas the opposite effect is noticed in the temperature profile. Higher estimation of Prandtl number and magnetic parameter elevated the Casson fluid concentration. Finally, the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are calculated and tabulated. It is also examined that the Nusselt number is weakened for both the Dufour number and Soret number but the skin fraction coefficient is greater for both the Dufour number and Soret number.  相似文献

In the present study, the influence of Hall and ion‐slip current on steady magnetohydrodynamics mixed convective, Ohmic heating, and viscous dissipative Casson fluid flow over an infinite vertical porous plate in the presence of Soret effect and chemical reaction are investigated. The modeling equations are transformed into dimensionless equations and then solved analytically through the multiple regular perturbation law. Computations are performed graphically to analyze the behavior of fluid velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number on the vertical plate with the difference of emerging physical parameters. This study reflects that the incremental values of Casson fluid parameter and Schmidt number lead to reduction in velocity. However, fluid velocity rises due to enhancement of ion‐slip parameter but an opposite effect is observed in case of Hall parameter. In addition, the Sherwood number declines with enhancing dissimilar estimators of the chemical reaction, Schmidt number, as well as Soret number.  相似文献

This article presents the two-dimensional mixed convective MHD unsteady stagnation-point flow with heat and mass transfer on chemically reactive Casson fluid towards a vertical stretching surface. This fluid flow model is influenced by the induced magnetic field, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, heat absorption, and Soret effect with convective boundary conditions and solved numerically by shooting technique. The calculations are accomplished by MATLAB bvp4c. The velocity, induced magnetic field, temperature, and concentration distributions are displayed by graphs for pertinent influential parameters. The numerical results for skin friction coefficient, rate of heat, and mass transfer are analyzed via tables for different influential parameters for both assisting and opposing flows. The results reveal that the enhancement of the unsteadiness parameter diminishes velocity and induced magnetic field but it rises temperature and concentration distributions. Moreover, higher values of magnetic Prandtl number enhance Nusselt number and skin friction coefficient, but it has the opposite impact on Sherwood number. We observe that the amplitude is higher in assisting flow compared to opposing flow for skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number whereas opposite trends are noticed for Sherwood number. Our model will be applicable to various magnetohydrodynamic devices and medical sciences.  相似文献

In this paper, the unsteady motion of Casson liquid over a half-infinite penetrable vertical plate with MHD, thermal radiation, Soret, and Dufour contributions have been explored numerically. In the physical geometry, the Casson liquid flows to the layer from the penetrable vertical plate. At the layer, Casson liquid is set into motion and the flow equations are illustrated using coupled partial differential equations (PDEs). This set of PDEs is simplified to form dimensionless PDEs with the use of normal nondimensional transformation. The controlling parameters' effects on the working fluid are extensively discussed on velocity, concentration, and temperature and presented graphically. Computational values of Nusselt plus Sherwood number and skin friction for controlling parameters are depicted in a tabular form. Our outcomes show that a raise in the Casson term depreciates the velocity because of the magnetic parameter influence on the fluid flow. The Soret parameter was found to accelerate the skin friction along with the Sherwood number coefficients. An incremental value of the Dufour parameter was detected to hike the skin friction alongside the Nusselt number. Results of this study were found to be in conformity with previously published work.  相似文献

The purpose of the current investigation is to analyze the influence of thermal diffusion on magnetohydrodynamic viscoelastic fluid flow with concurrent heat and mass transfer near an oscillating porous plate in a slip flow Regime under the influence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The uniqueness of the present study is to examine the effects of viscoelastic property (Walters B' model) on the flow and heat transfer phenomena when a transverse magnetic field and time-dependent fluctuating suction at the boundary surface are present in a porous medium with a uniform porous matrix. A regular perturbation technique is used to solve the governing equations for small elastic parameters. Graphical representations are used to show how different parameters affect skin friction, temperature, concentration, and velocity. It is observed that concentration distribution as well as the coefficient of friction is enhanced due to the thermal diffusion effect. It is noticed that the visco-elastic parameters reduce the velocity of the fluid. In addition, chemical reactions and suction factors cause the flow field's temperature to drop. Furthermore, the fluid concentration drops under the chemical reaction effect.  相似文献

Present phenomenon is dedicated to analyze the problem of steady state flow of an incompressible fluid model pertained to as magnetohydrodynamics viscoelastic nanofluid through a permeable plate. Continuity, momentum, energy, and concentration expressions are elaborated to comprehend nature of the fluid flow. Numerical solutions are presented. The arising mathematical problem is governed by interesting parameters which include viscoelastic parameter, magnetic field parameter, nanofluid parameter, radiation parameter, skin friction, Prandtle number, and Sherwood number. Solutions for the dimensionless velocity, temperature, and concentration fields and the corresponding skin friction, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are determined and canvassed with the help of graphs for the distinct values of pertinent parameters.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of velocity slip, chemical reaction, and suction/injection on two-dimensional mass transfer effects on unsteady MHD flow over a stretching surface in the presence of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation. The governing time-dependent nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformations. The converted equations are solved using the numerical technique with the help of Keller-Box method. The effect of nondimensional variables is studied and graphically illustrated on velocity, temperature, concentration, friction factor, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number. Concentration and temperature profiles are enhanced and the contrasting pattern for velocity profiles as increasing the velocity slip and magnetic parameter. The concentration profile is diminished as the Schmidt number (Sc) and chemical reaction (Cr) increase. The concentration, velocity, and temperature profiles display a reversal pattern, as the suction and unsteady parameter (A) increase. The findings of this study are very well-acknowledged with current research.  相似文献

In the present paper, the melting heat transfer of a nanofluid over a stretching sheet is investigated. Magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow with thermal radiation and slip effects is considered for this study. The governing model of the flow is solved by Runge–Kutta fourth-order method using appropriate similarity transformations. Temperature and velocity fields are presented for various flow pertinent parameters. Nondimensional physical parameters such as Prandtl number, radiation parameter, Brownian motion parameter, Lewis number, thermophoresis parameter, magnetic parameter, and melting parameter on fluid velocity, heat, concentration, skin friction, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number are presented graphically and discussed numerically. Heat transfer rate can be increased by increasing slip, melting, or radiation parameter. Mass transfer increases for greater values of melting parameter or slip parameter while radiation parameter shows the opposite impact on mass transfer.  相似文献

A numerical computation to analyze the heat and mass transfer mechanism of a magnetohydrodynamic radiative Casson fluid flow over a wedge in the presence of Joule heating, viscous dissipation, and chemical reaction is carried out in this study. The flow-governing partial differential equations are transformed as ordinary differential equations by relevant similarity transformations and subsequently resolved by Runge–Kutta numerical approach with a shooting technique. The characteristics of momentum, thermal, and concentration border layers due to various influencing parameters are graphically outlined and numerically computed by MATLAB software. We present comparative solutions to construe the relative outcomes of Casson fluid versus Newtonian fluid. Computational outcomes of friction factor and Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are tabulated with suitable interpretations. An increase in skin friction values is noted due to an increment in the thermal Grashof number, whereas a decrease is observed due to the chemical reaction parameter. The Casson fluid displays a superior heat transfer mechanism than the Newtonian fluid. Obtained outcomes are in good agreement with the prevailing literature in the limiting case.  相似文献

This article presents the magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer characteristics of a nanofluid over an inclined porous vertical plate with thermal radiation and chemical reaction. The new enhanced concentration boundary condition on the surface of the wall is considered in this analysis. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using the similarity variables and are solved numerically using the finite element method. The effect of key parameters such as magnetic parameter (M), buoyancy ratio (Nr), Prandtl number (Pr), thermal radiation (R), Brownian motion (Nb), thermophoresis (Nt), Lewis number (Le), and chemical reaction parameter (Cr) on velocity, temperature, and concentration distributions is discussed in detail and the results are shown graphically. Furthermore, the impact of these parameters on skin‐friction coefficient, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number is also investigated and the results are shown in tabular form. The developed algorithm is validated with works published previously and was found to be in good agreement. The thermal boundary layer thickness is elevated, whereas the solutal boundary layer thickness retards with the improving values of the Brownian motion parameter (Nb). The rates of nondimensional temperature and concentration both decelerate with higher values of the thermophoresis parameter (Nt).  相似文献

This paper investigates the radiation and chemical reaction effects on Casson non‐Newtonian fluid towards a porous stretching surface in the presence of thermal and hydrodynamic slip conditions. The governing boundary layer conservation equations are normalized into nonsimilar form using similarity transformations. A numerical approach is applied to the resultant equations. The behavior of the velocity, temperature, concentration, as well as the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number for various governing physical are discussed. Increasing the radiation parameter decreases the temperature. An increase in the rheological parameter (Casson parameter) induces an elevation in the skin friction coefficient, the heat and mass transfer rates. The larger the β values the closer the fluid is in behavior to a Newtonian fluid and further departs from plastic flow. Temperature of the fluid was found to decrease with increasing values of the Casson rheological parameter. The most important non‐Newtonian fluid possessing a yield value is the rheological Casson fluid, which finds significant applications in polymer processing industries, biomechanics, and chocolate food processing.  相似文献

Analysis of a time-independent magnetohydrodynamic viscoelastic fluid flow in a deformable inclined porous layer with first-order chemical reaction has been investigated. Walters' fluid model has been used to study viscoelastic fluid. The walls are suctioned/injected at a constant rate. The expression representing the solution for solid displacement, fluid velocity, temperature, and concentration distribution is obtained. The effect of applicable parameters on solid displacement, fluid velocity, temperature, and concentration are discussed graphically, while skin friction, heat transfer, and mass transfer are revealed in a tabular structure. It is noticed that solid displacement, fluid velocity, and temperature profiles decrease when the viscoelastic parameter increase. Solid displacement enhances and the velocity of the fluid reduces owing to the influence of increasing drag parameter, whereas the reverse effect is seen for the volume fraction parameter. Nusselt number at the walls shows the opposite behavior for the viscoelastic parameter and Eckert number. Sherwood number at the walls shows opposite behavior for Reynolds number, Schmidt number, and radiation parameter. Also, the entropy generation number rises as a result of the influence of viscoelasticity and Eckert number.  相似文献

The purpose of the present study is to analyze the problem of a free convective MHD flow of incompressible, electrically conducting, and viscous fluid past an impulsively started semi-infinite moving vertical plate. The fluid is considered to be non-gray and optically thick. The parabolic ramped temperature of the plate and thermodiffusion effect are also taken into account. A magnetic field having uniform strength is applied in the transverse direction to the fluid velocity. Solutions of dimensionless governing partial differential equations are attained on the adoption of the closed-form Laplace transformation technique. Effects of different flow parameters on the velocity field, temperature field, concentration field, Nusselt number, skin friction, and Sherwood Number are discussed graphically. It is noticed that fluid concentration, temperature, and velocity decline considerably for ascending values of Prandtl Number. Increasing Ramped parameter hikes the Nusselt number and Sherwood Number but declines skin friction.  相似文献

An analysis has been carried out to investigate the effect of homogeneous‐heterogeneous reactions and induced magnetic field on the unsteady two‐dimensional incompressible nonlinear thermal convective velocity slip flow of a Jeffrey fluid in the presence of nonlinear thermal radiation and heat source/sink. We assumed that the flow is generated due to injection at the lower plate and suction at the upper plate. We obtained a numerical solution for the reduced nonlinear governing system of equations via the shooting technique with fourth‐order Runge‐Kutta integration. We plotted the graphs for various nondimensional parameters, like Deborah number, heat source/sink parameter, nonlinear convection parameter, nonlinear radiation parameter, magnetic Reynolds number, Strommer's number, velocity slip parameter, strengths of homogeneous, heterogeneous reaction parameters and skin friction over the nondimensional flow, temperature, concentration profiles and magnetic diffusivity fields. Also, we calculated the numerical values of boundary properties, such as the skin friction and heat transfer rate. We noticed that the temperature of the fluid is enhanced with the radiation parameter, whereas the concentration decreases with increase of the magnetic Reynolds number. The present results have good agreement with published work for the Newtonian case.  相似文献

In this study, we numerically explore the impact of varying viscosity and thermal conductivity on a magnetohydrodynamic flow problem over a moving nonisothermal vertical plate with thermophoretic effect and viscous dissipation. The boundary conditions and flow-regulating equations are converted into ordinary differential equations with the aid of similarity substitution. The MATLAB bvp4c solver is used to evaluate the numerical solution of the problem and it is validated by executing the numerical solution with previously published studies. The impacts of several factors, including the magnetic parameter, Eckert number, heat source parameter, thermal conductivity parameter, stratification parameter, Soret, Dufour, Prandtl number, and Schmidt number are calculated and shown graphically. Also, the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are calculated. Fluid velocity, temperature, and concentration significantly drop as the thermophoretic parameter and thermal stratification parameter increases. As thermal conductivity rises, it is seen that the velocity of the fluid and temperature inside the boundary layer rise as well. Also, the Soret effect drops temperature and concentration profile. The applications of this type of problem are found in the processes of nuclear reactors, corrosion of heat exchangers, lubrication theory, and so forth.  相似文献
