Efficient symbolic and explicit-state model checking approaches have been developed for the verification of linear time temporal logic (LTL) properties. Several attempts have been made to combine the advantages of the various algorithms. Model checking LTL properties usually poses two challenges: one must compute the synchronous product of the state space and the automaton model of the desired property, then look for counterexamples that is reduced to finding strongly connected components (SCCs) in the state space of the product. In case of concurrent systems, where the phenomenon of state space explosion often prevents the successful verification, the so-called saturation algorithm has proved its efficiency in state space exploration. This paper proposes a new approach that leverages the saturation algorithm both as an iteration strategy constructing the product directly, as well as in a new fixed-point computation algorithm to find strongly connected components on-the-fly by incrementally processing the components of the model. Complementing the search for SCCs, explicit techniques and component-wise abstractions are used to prove the absence of counterexamples. The resulting on-the-fly, incremental LTL model checking algorithm proved to scale well with the size of models, as the evaluation on models of the Model Checking Contest suggests.  相似文献

针对加权迁移系统,提出了线性时间属性及其安全性检测。首先定义了半环K上的加权迁移系统,提出了加权线性时间属性概念,并根据权重函数确定加权线性时间属性的上确界、下确界和闭包; 接着给出了几种常见的加权线性时间属性并且讨论了它们的关系; 然后重点研究了加权安全性,通过加权自动机和闭包给出了加权正则安全性; 最后基于加权有穷自动机,建立了加权正则安全性的检测方法。检测过程结合半环和形式幂级数,构造了加权迁移系统和加权有穷自动机的乘积系统,将加权安全性检测问题转化为验证乘积系统的不变性,给出了加权正则安全性检测的算法和复杂度。实例结果表明,所提的方法能够对加权迁移系统的安全性进行检测。  相似文献

In this work we study hybrid approaches to LTL symbolic model checking; that is, approaches that use explicit representations of the property automaton, whose state space is often quite manageable, and symbolic representations of the system, whose state space is typically exceedingly large. We compare the effects of using, respectively, (i) a purely symbolic representation of the property automaton, (ii) a symbolic representation, using logarithmic encoding, of explicitly compiled property automaton, and (iii) a partitioning of the symbolic state space according to an explicitly compiled property automaton. We apply this comparison to three model-checking algorithms: the doubly-nested fixpoint algorithm of Emerson and Lei, the reduction of emptiness to reachability of Biere et al., and the singly-nested fixpoint algorithm of Bloem et al. for weak automata. The emerging picture from our study is quite clear, hybrid approaches outperform pure symbolic model checking, while partitioning generally performs better than logarithmic encoding. The conclusion is that the hybrid approaches benefit from state-of-the-art techniques in semantic compilation of LTL properties. Partitioning gains further from the fact that the image computation is applied to smaller sets of states.  相似文献

时段演算是描述和推导嵌入式实时系统和混成系统性质的一种区间时态逻辑.扩展线性时段不变式是时段演算的重要子集.针对实时自动机,提出一种连续时间语义下扩展线性时段不变式的有界模型检验方法.该方法将扩展线性时段不变式的有界模型检验问题转化为量词线性算术公式的正确性问题,从而可以采用量词消去技术进行求解.首先,运用符号化的思想,在实时自动机上利用深度优先搜索找到所有满足观测时长约束的符号化路径片段;然后,将每条符号化路径片段转化为一个量词线性算术公式;最后,利用量词消去工具求解.与已有工作相比,基于实时自动机设计了验证算法.另外,降低了验证复杂度,并且加速了验证过程的实际速度.  相似文献

统计模型检测是一种高效的验证技术,常用于复杂的随机系统验证,如分布式算法等。而在超长路径上对性质进行验证时,其验证效率会急剧降低。为解决这个问题,这里提出一种启发式的统计模型检测算法。在对路径进行验证时,我们会查找帮助剪枝的最短前缀。并在后续抽样时,利用前缀信息直接判定路径是否满足给定性质,避免进入费时的路径验证阶段。在与PRISM的比较中,它的路径验证次数相对更少且平均抽样路径长度更短。因此使统计模型检测技术可应用于超长路径上的性质验证。  相似文献

以带有多个可接受条件的广义Büchi自动机为研究对象,提出基于启发式NDFS的模型检测新算法.该算法结合on-the-fly算法与启发式NDFS算法,能较快地判断出广义Büchi自动机非空性,通过理论证明和实验验证了算法的正确性和可行性.与已有算法相比,在广义Büchi自动机非空的情况下,该算法减少了系统状态空间的搜索,提高了检测效率,且能形成相应反例,为缓解形式化验证中的状态空间爆炸问题提供了有效的解决途径,为安全苛求系统的安全性保障提供了有力支撑,丰富了基于模型的软件形式化开发方法.  相似文献

Presents a model-checking procedure and its implementation for the automatic verification of embedded systems. The system components are described as hybrid automata-communicating machines with finite control and real-valued variables that represent continuous environment parameters such as time, pressure and temperature. The system requirements are specified in a temporal logic with stop-watches, and verified by symbolic fixpoint computation. The verification procedure-implemented in the Cornell Hybrid Technology tool, HyTech-applies to hybrid automata whose continuous dynamics is governed by linear constraints on the variables and their derivatives. We illustrate the method and the tool by checking safety, liveness, time-bounded and duration requirements of digital controllers, schedulers and distributed algorithms  相似文献

Temporal logic is a valuable tool for specifying correctness properties of reactive programs. With the advent of temporal logic model checkers, it has become an important aid for the verification of concurrent and reactive systems. In model checking the temporal logic properties are verified against models expressed in the tool's modelling language. In addition, model-checking techniques are useful to test actual implementations or to verify models of the system that are too detailed to be analysed by a model checker, by means of, for instance, simulation.A tableau construction is an algorithm that translates a temporal logic formula into a finite-state automaton that accepts precisely all the models of the formula. It is a key ingredient to checking satisfiability of a formula as well as to the automata-theoretic approach to model checking. An improvement to the efficiency of tableau constructions has been the development of on-the-fly versions.In this paper, we present a particular tableau construction for the incremental analysis of execution traces during test, simulation or model-checking. The automaton forms the basis of a monitor that detects both good and bad prefix of a particular kind, namely those that are informative for the property under investigation. We elaborate on the construction of the monitor and demonstrate its correctness.  相似文献

提出使用事件自动机对 C 程序的安全属性进行规约,并给出了基于有界模型检测的形式化验证方法。事件自动机可以规约程序中基于事件的安全属性,且可以描述无限状态的安全属性。事件自动机将属性规约与C程序本身隔离,不会改变程序的结构。在事件自动机的基础上,提出了自动机可达树的概念。结合自动机可达树和有界模型检测技术,给出将事件自动机和C程序转化为可满足性模理论SMT(satisfiability modulo theory)模型的算法。最后,使用SMT求解器对生成的SMT模型求解,并根据求解结果给出反例路径分析算法。实例分析和实验结果表明,该方法可以有效验证软件系统中针对事件的属性规约。  相似文献

随着系统复杂性的增加,系统中的不确定信息亟待处理,状态爆炸问题也越来越严峻,现有的模型检测技术已不能完全适用于复杂系统的验证。 对可能性测度下CTL符号化模型检测进行了研究。首先用多终端二值决策图和布尔公式分别描述系统模型和待验证性质,然后再对系统模型进行归一化和简化,最后利用不动点计算完成系统验证。该研究是对可能性测度下的模型检测技术和符号化模型检测技术的整合,不但能处理系统的不确定信息,而且保持了符号化模型检测对计算时空要求低的优点,对于复杂系统模型检测具有重要意义。  相似文献

Model checking is an automated technique that can be used to determine whether a system satisfies certain required properties. The typical approach to verifying properties of software components is to check them for all possible environments. In reality, however, a component is only required to satisfy properties in specific environments. Unless these environments are formally characterized and used during verification (assume-guarantee paradigm), the results returned by verification can be overly pessimistic. This work introduces an approach that brings a new dimension to model checking of software components. When checking a component against a property, our modified model checking algorithms return one of the following three results: the component satisfies a property for any environment; the component violates the property for any environment; or finally, our algorithms generate an assumption that characterizes exactly those environments in which the component satisfies its required property. Our approach has been implemented in the LTSA tool and has been applied to the analysis of two NASA applications.This paper is an expanded version of Giannakopoulou et al. (2002).  相似文献

模型检测是一种自动完成性质验证的算法过程,在模型检测过程中会遇到状态空间爆炸的问题,即随系统规模的增长状态空间的大小呈指数增长,如何缓解此问题一直是研究者研究的重点.目前利用模型检测方法对线性时序逻辑(LTL)性质进行检测的工具还比较少,且效率都较低.介绍了一种基于离散时间自动机的LTL性质检测工具,采用了在状态空间中存储延迟序列(DS)的技术,对状态进行压缩存储,减小了时间空间的消耗,加快了检测速度.实验表明,该工具的检测效果是不错的,要好于同类工具,如DTSpin.  相似文献

反应式系统通常是不终止的,其行为定义为系统状态的无限序列的集合.形式化验证时,检验需求一般使用时序逻辑给出.当使用诸如LTL(linear temporal logic)这样的逻辑时,由于这类逻辑的模型同样是无限序列,系统与需求之间的满足性关系可以简单定义为集合的包含关系.但是,当使用时段时序逻辑(interval temporal logic)作为说明逻辑时,由于逻辑模型的有限性,使得上面的满足关系不再适用.称这类有限序列集合表达的性质为有限性性质.对于不同的有限性性质,它们对应的满足性关系是有区别的.针对两类有限性定义了它们各自的满足性关系,并将这两种关系统一为一个更一般的满足性关系.在此基础上,提出模型检验这两类性质的算法,并将其实现为一个针对时段时序逻辑QRDC(quantified RDC (restricted duration calculus))的检验工具QRDChecker.QRDChecker可以检验QRDC公式在连续时间模型和离散时间模型下的有效性.在离散时间条件下,它还可以将QRDC公式转换成模型检验系统Spin能够接受的自动机的形式,从而可以检查反应式系统是否满足用QRDC公式表达的性质.  相似文献

State-of-the-art algorithms for on-the-fly automata-theoretic LTL model checking make use of nested depth-first search to look for accepting cycles in the product of the system and the Büchi automaton. Here, we present two new single depth-first search algorithms that accomplish the same task. The first is based on Tarjan's algorithm for detecting strongly connected components, while the second is a combination of the first and Couvreur's algorithm for finding acceptance cycles in the product of a system and a generalized Büchi automaton. Both new algorithms report an accepting cycle immediately after all transitions in the cycle have been investigated. We show their correctness, describe efficient implementations and discuss how they interact with some other model checking techniques, such as bitstate hashing. The algorithms are compared to the nested search algorithms in experiments on both random and actual state spaces, using random and real formulas. Our measurements indicate that our algorithms investigate at most as many states as the old ones. In the case of a violation of the correctness property, the algorithms often explore significantly fewer states.  相似文献

介绍了一个就线性时段性验证实时系统正确性的工具的设计思想以及相关算法,使用时间自动机作为产时系统的描述模型,同时,为了便珩描述并发实时系统,使用带共享变量和通道的时间自动机网作为模型描述并发实时系统,在检验时间自动机网时,用户可以使用工具提供的合成程序将其合并为一个时间自动机然后进行检验,由于时间自动机的状态空间是无究的,通过引入整数状态和状态等价关系的概念,将整个状态0空间划分为有限的状态等价类空间,模型检验过程只需要通过对等价类空间的搜索就可以完成,但往往等价类空间的规模很大,超出了现在计算机的处理能力,原始搜索算法仅仅在理论上是可知地的,为了增工具的使用性,工具中使用的算法运用了一些优化技术来避免对等价类空间的穷尽搜索,使得工具在使用时具有比较好的时间和空间效率。  相似文献

根据带有随机特征的复杂信息系统性质验证的需求,针对离散概率回报模型的分层直到公式,提出一种性质验证分析方法。在综合各种离散随机逻辑的基础上,使用一种同时具有迁移回报及迁移步区间表达能力的概率计算树逻辑表示系统模型的分层直到路径公式性质,使用自动机技术建模路径公式,通过构造积模型完成模型与自动机的同步演化,基于积模型给出相应的状态概率满足算法。实例结果验证了该方法的可行性和有效性。  相似文献

采用线性规划作为基本工具开发一个RTL可满足性求解器,并将其应用于解决RTL性质检验问题.深入研究了使用线性规划约束对RTL电路元器件的建模方法,得到了一种对RTL电路建模的通用方法.通过将RTL性质转化为虚拟RTL电路,找到了一种验证RTL性质的方法.通过实验,并与采用zchaff布尔可满足性求解器的模型检验工具NuSMV进行比较,证明了基于RTL可满足性求解器的性质验证方法在内存和时间消耗上具有相当大的优势.  相似文献

Alternating tree automata and AND/OR graphs provide elegant formalisms that enable branching- time logics to be verified in linear time. The seminal work of Kupferman et al. [Orna Kupferman, Moshe Y. Vardi, and Pierre Wolper. An automata-theoretic approach to branching-time model checking. J. ACM, 47(2):312–360, 2000] showed that 1) branching-time model checking is reducible to the language non-emptiness checking of the product of two alternating automata representing the model and property under verification, and 2) the non-emptiness problem can be solved by performing a search on an AND/OR graph representing this product. Their algorithm, however, can only be implemented in an explicit-state model checker because it needs stacks to detect accept and reject runs. In this paper, we propose a BDD-based approach to check the language non-emptiness of the product automaton. We use a technique called “state recording” from Schuppan and Biere [Viktor Schuppan and Armin Biere. Efficient reduction of finite state model checking to reachability analysis. Int. Journal on Software Tools for Technology Transfer (STTT), 5(2–3):185–204, 2004] to emulate the stack mechanism from explicit-state model checking. This technique allows us to transform the product automaton into a well-defined AND/OR graph. We develop a BDD-based reachability algorithm to efficiently determine whether a solution graph for the AND/OR graph exists and thereby solve the model-checking problem. While “state recording” increases the size of the state space, the advantage of our approach lies in the memory saving BDDs can offer and the potential it opens up for optimisation of the reachability analysis. We remark that this technique always detects the shortest counter-example.  相似文献
