一种采用16芯光纤带的高密度光缆目前已经被研制出来,光纤带由涂覆层很薄的仅为200μm的光纤组成。对于16芯和80芯单模光纤连接器而言,平均光损耗分别达到0.2和0.35dB。光缆接续时间已减少到目前需要的1/5。通过对纤芯和包层材料的粘度匹配,减少了光纤的结构不完整损耗。经过改变沿光缆长度方向的布里渊频移,光缆的有效输入功率提高了7dB。 相似文献

光纤复合低压电缆(OPLC)是由绝缘导体和光单元组成的复合电缆,可以实现低压电力和光通信双重传输。依据OPLC的运行原理,分析其运行过程中的电热关系,对OPLC内光纤温度与光纤传输损耗关系进行研究分析,说明了光纤温度变化对其传输损耗的表征作用。针对OPLC工作时电热效应导致光纤温度升高问题,从调整OPLC结构的角度提出优化模型,依次改变光单元位置 、耐热层材料、耐热层厚度,采用具有微管结构的光单元。利用COMSOL Multiphysics多物理场耦合仿真软件进行仿真,分别计算了OPLC在额定工作状态下原始结构与优化后结构的温度分布。采用优化结构后光纤温度由86.8 ℃降低至77.25 ℃,表明本文提出的OPLC优化结构可以有效降低电热效应对光纤的影响。 相似文献

An optically-based remote sensing technique using a laser source, polarization scrambler, standard single mode fibers, fiber polarizer, electro-optic (EO) modulator and optical receiver, for continuous on-line monitoring of partial discharges (PD) in high voltage cable joints is proposed. Both the fiber polarizer and EO modulator, which are placed near cable joints, are passive without any power requirements. An EO modulator with no electrical bias, which operates close to the half-intensity point, was used and proved to have much better light transmission performance and higher measurement sensitivity than the bias modulator approach investigated earlier. Various multiplexing techniques including optical switches and a fused fiber coupler have been investigated in order to implement multi-channel monitoring so that one laser source can be used to provide light to several fibers. The revised PD optical remote sensing technique has been applied to practical PD measurements on both 132 kV cable joint at the University of Southampton in the UK and 400 kV cable joints at Sudkabel GmbH in Germany. With increased demands for optical fiber cable removal, a system which reduces circuit quality degradation due to optical fiber switching has been strongly required. The optical switching elements and optical fiber switching systems were studied aimed at shortening optical switching time, optical loss and other optical specifications. However, the circuit quality degradation cannot be evaluated by these specifications. For this reason, it is important to study the circuit quality degradation due to optical fiber switching, and the study must comprehend the transmission system performance after optical fiber switching. To analyze the circuit quality degradation during optical fiber switching, the standard analysis model and the optimum analysis parameters were defined. Using them, the frame hunting time after optical fiber switching was studied theoretically and its influence on a working transmission system was estimated. The circuit degradation was evaluated experimentally with regard to an actual transmission system, and experimental results agreed with the estimation. Moreover, by utilizing the results of these studies, it was found that the reduction of circuit quality degradation can be realized firmly and the effect of these studies was verified. 相似文献
