虽然IP多播的性能优势无可否认,但是它却面临着部署上的困难。近年来,P2P多播作为提供多播服务的另一可行途径正不断为人们所认可。研究非对称链路延时网络环境下P2P多播的路由问题,提出一个新的P2P多播路由协议:BowCast.该协议采用基于树(tree-based)的分布式路由策略,使多播组成员之间能自组织地构建一棵基于源的最小延时P2P多播树。BowCast主要利用范围受限的单向探测技术(BOW)来实现路由优化算法。BOW能提供端系统节点间的单向相对延时,无需全局的同步时钟。仿真实验表明,BowCast能很好地适应非对称链路延时环境。通过调节BOW的探测范围,BowCast能灵活地在路由性能和控制开销之间进行折中。  相似文献

本文主要研讨了具有QoS约束的动态多播路由问题.文中描述了一种适用于QoS多播路由的网络模型,提出了一种动态QoS多播路由协议(DQMRP),该协议能操作在单播路由协议的顶层,它只要求网络链路(或节点)的局部状态信息,不需要维护全局状态信息.DQMRP可有效地减少构造一棵多播树的开销,多播组成员可动态地加入/退出多播会晤.该协议可搜索多条可行树枝,并能选择一条最优(或近优)树枝将新成员连接到多播树.文中给出了DQMRP的正确性证明和复杂性分析,并通过仿真实验验证了该协议的可用性和有效性.  相似文献

将RTM模型引入到多播路由研究中,文章选取具有代表性的Random Waypoint,Random Walk with Reflection和West Uni Place为移动场景,以多播路由协议ODMRP和覆盖多播路由协议OBAMP为仿真对象,在不同组成员个数和速度的条件下,分别对其使用NS2模拟仿真。仿真分析可知,在速度变化明显的移动模型中,选取随机路点(RW)模型作为网络中节点的移动模式较好;对数据转发率要求高的网络适宜选取OBAMP协议,对实时性要求较高的网络多采用ODMRP协议。为设计能满足不同应用需要的Ad Hoc网络多播路由、覆盖多播路由协议提供科学参考。  相似文献

提出了一种无线mesh网中最小网络编码代价低时延多播路由协议(MNCLDMR, minimal network coding and low delay multicast routing)。MNCLDMR的目标是选择合适的网络编码节点,最小化网络编码代价,降低网络时延。MNCLDMR主要思想是引入拓扑关键节点和网络编码关键节点的概念,以下一跳的节点是否是网络编码关键节点或拓扑关键节点作为路由判据,采用MNCLD算法构造多播树。仿真结果表明,MNCLDMR可以达到预定目标,合理形成网络编码机会,能实现最小网络编码代价低时延多播路由。  相似文献

为无线单播模式设计的RTS/CTS信道握手机制不适用于多播模式,导致Ad hoc多播树节点易与隐藏终端发生冲突.通过提出m阶冲突域、节点在冲突域中的分布指标,结合无线网多播数据通信机制分析树节点所在m阶冲突域的冲突概率,进而得到节点自分布最优树的概念,并将它融入多播树的适应函数的设计中,淘汰不良树,优化树节点在m阶冲突域中的分布,在网络层形成一种预防机制,可降低隐藏终端冲突概率;应用于MAODV协议中,提高了MAODV的端到端数据分组平均投递率,这也能够为基于网的和混合式的其他类型MANETs多播路由协议的路由节点分布优化提供有价值的参考.  相似文献

通过分析Ad Hoe网络的特点及基于QoS的多播路由问题,提出了一种新的分布式多播路由算法。实验和分析的结果表明,文中构造的路由方案成功地解决了Ad Hoe网中基于QoS的多播路由问题。当Ad Hoe网络的拓扑结构改变不太快时,本文提出的路由方案不仅满足了实时业务对网络带宽和端到端延时的要求,优化了路由树的代价,而且有效地控制了算法的复杂性并可适用于大规模的网络中。  相似文献

文中研究了一种基于分割树的移动Ad Hoc网络(MANET)多播路由协议(TPBOM),该协议中,信源基于成员节点的定位信息创建一个Steiner树覆盖图,为满足可扩展性的要求,信源利用最大权反向分割(MHRTP)的树分割算法将其分割为若干个区,并将每个区封装进一个树分发数据包中,以便将所创建的Steiner树分发至所有成员节点,封装的数据包中不包含目的地址列表,数据则沿该Steiner树进行传输,仿真实现表明,TPBOM在可扩展的多播群中获得了较高的性能。  相似文献

Characterizing Overlay Multicast Networks and Their Costs   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Overlay networks among cooperating hosts have recently emerged as a viable solution to several challenging problems, including multicasting, routing, content distribution, and peer-to-peer services. Application-level overlays, however, incur a performance penalty over router-level solutions. This paper quantifies and explains this performance penalty for overlay multicast trees via: 1) Internet experimental data; 2) simulations; and 3) theoretical models. We compare a number of overlay multicast protocols with respect to overlay tree structure, and underlying network characteristics. Experimental data and simulations illustrate that the mean number of hops and mean per-hop delay between parent and child hosts in overlay trees generally decrease as the level of the host in the overlay tree increases. Overlay multicast routing strategies, overlay host distribution, and Internet topology characteristics are identified as three primary causes of the observed phenomenon. We show that this phenomenon yields overlay tree cost savings: Our results reveal that the normalized cost L(n)/U(n) is propn0.9 for small n, where L(n) is the total number of hops in all overlay links, U(n) is the average number of hops on the source to receiver unicast paths, and n is the number of members in the overlay multicast session. This can be compared to an IP multicast cost proportional to n0.6 to n0.8  相似文献

Due to the difficulty of deploying Internet protocol (IP) multicast on the Internet on a large scale, overlay multicast has been considered as a promising alternative to develop the multicast communication in recent years. However, the existing overlay multicast solutions suffer from high costs to maintain the state information of nodes in the multicast forwarding tree. A stateless overlay multicast scheme is proposed, in which the multicast routing information is encoded by a bloom filter (BF) and encapsulated into the packet header without any need for maintaining the multicast forwarding tree. Our scheme leverages the node heterogeneity and proximity information in the physical topology and hierarchically constructs the transit-stub overlay topology by assigning geometric coordinates to all overlay nodes. More importantly, the scheme uses BF technology to identify the nodes and links of the multicast forwarding tree, which improves the forwarding efficiency and decreases the false-positive forwarding loop. The analytical and simulation results show that the proposal can achieve high forwarding efficiency and good scalability.  相似文献

Application-layer multicasting with Delaunay triangulation overlays   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
Application-layer multicast supports group applications without the need for a network-layer multicast protocol. Here, applications arrange themselves in a logical overlay network and transfer data within the overlay. We present an application-layer multicast solution that uses a Delaunay triangulation as an overlay network topology. An advantage of using a Delaunay triangulation is that it allows each application to locally derive next-hop routing information without requiring a routing protocol in the overlay. A disadvantage of using a Delaunay triangulation is that the mapping of the overlay to the network topology at the network and data link layer may be suboptimal. We present a protocol, called Delaunay triangulation (DT protocol), which constructs Delaunay triangulation overlay networks. We present measurement experiments of the DT protocol for overlay networks with up to 10 000 members, that are running on a local PC cluster with 100 Linux PCs. The results show that the protocol stabilizes quickly, e.g., an overlay network with 10 000 nodes can be built in just over 30 s. The traffic measurements indicate that the average overhead of a node is only a few kilobits per second if the overlay network is in a steady state. Results of throughput experiments of multicast transmissions (using TCP unicast connections between neighbors in the overlay network) show an achievable throughput of approximately 15 Mb/s in an overlay with 100 nodes and 2 Mb/s in an overlay with 1000 nodes.  相似文献

在分析了网络中基于延时和带宽受限的组播路由优化问题的基础上,本文提出了一种新的启发式算法,并进行了实验和分析.结果表明文中构造的路由方案成功地解决了当网络中存在多组组播业务时的QoS路由选择问题.此方案不仅保证了带宽、端到端延时,优化了路由树的代价,而且有效地控制了算法的复杂性并可适用于大规模的网络中.  相似文献

Multicast is a communication technique that allows a source to transmit data to a set of recipients in an efficient manner. Therefore, the primary objective of a multicast routing protocol would be to minimize number of transmissions to conserve bandwidth. The problem of computing multicast trees with minimal bandwidth consumption is similar to Steiner tree problem and has shown to be NP-complete. So, heuristic based algorithms are suitable to approximate such bandwidth optimal trees. This paper proposes a multicast routing protocol based on minimum number of transmission trees using an heuristic approach. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm offers better performance over existing protocols, even in the worst-case scenario when the set of multicast receivers are sparsely distributed across the network.  相似文献

Multicast routing is to find a tree which is rooted from a source node and contains all multicast destinations. There are two requirements of multicast routing in many multimedia applications: optimal network cost and bounded delay. The network cost of a tree is defined as the sum of the cost of all links in the tree. The bounded delay of a routing tree refers to the feature that the accumulated delay from the source to any destination along the tree shall not exceed a prespecified bound. This paper presents a distributed heuristic algorithm which generates routing trees having a suboptimal network cost under the delay bound constraint. The proposed algorithm is fully distributed, efficient in terms of the number of messages and convergence time, and flexible in dynamic membership changes. A large amount of simulations have been done to show the network cost of the routing trees generated by our algorithm is similar to, or even better than, other existing algorithms  相似文献

This paper presents a novel framework for quality‐of‐service (QoS) multicast routing with resource allocation that represents QoS parameters, jitter delay, and reliability, as functions of adjustable network resources, bandwidth, and buffer, rather than static metrics. The particular functional form of QoS parameters depends on rate‐based service disciplines used in the routers. This allows intelligent tuning of QoS parameters as functions of allocated resources during the multicast tree search process, rather than decoupling the tree search from resource allocation. The proposed framework minimizes the network resource utilization while keeping jitter delay, reliability, and bandwidth bounded. This definition makes the proposed QoS multicast routing with resource allocation problem more general than the classical minimum Steiner tree problem. As an application of our general framework, we formulate the QoS multicast routing with resource allocation problem for a network consisting of generalized processor sharing nodes as a mixed‐integer quadratic program and find the optimal multicast tree with allocated resources to satisfy the QoS constraints. We then present a polynomial‐time greedy heuristic for the QoS multicast routing with resource allocation problem and compare its performance with the optimal solution of the mixed‐integer quadratic program. The simulation results reveal that the proposed heuristic finds near‐optimal QoS multicast trees along with important insights into the interdependency of QoS parameters and resources.  相似文献
