Research on the Protection and Renewal of Traditional Scene Areas under the Concept of Cultural Landscape: A Case Study of the DatianwanCultural Palace-The Great Hall Area, Chongqing

In view of the current common phenomenon of heritage fragmentation and historical context interruption in traditional scene area, from the perspective of cultural landscape which emphasizes the "material value" relationship of heritage carrier, this paper takes the Datianwan-Cultural Palace-The Great Hall are in Chongqing as an example, and with the help of historical archives investigation and on-site investigation, traces back the space-time change process of the traditional scene area in the past 100 years. Finally, this paper discusses the strategies for the protection and renewal of traditional scene area from the four aspects of value system construction, cultural space supplement, building style promotion, and site function reconstruction, and builds the overall framework of the protection and renewal of traditional scene area.
