Current Situation of Return-to-Work of Training Graduate Trainees of Clinical Pharmacists of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective To understand the working status of the training graduate trainees of clinical pharmacists of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) after returning to their work units.Methods Through the "Questionnaire Star" online research platform,a questionnaire was distributed to the training graduate trainees of clinical pharmacists of TCM by WeChat.The basic information such as the workplace,hospital level,age and professional title of the graduate trainees,the work direction,work content,clinical recognition and training suggestions after returning to the work unit were collected,and the work status of the graduate trainees was analyzed.Results A total of 878 trainees from 30 provinces/autonomous regions/municipalities in China were graduated in the training,and 757 questionnaires were collected.Precisely 77.94% of the trainees were engaged in clinical pharmacy after returning to work units.Only 25.25% of them participated in clinical work more than 1/2 week per week,mainly because of the busyness of other things in the department.Precisely 97.80% of the trainees believed that they could be competent for clinical work and 73.73% of them believed that their work could be recognized in the clinic,and 92.71% of them were willing to continue to engage in clinical pharmacy work.Precisely 96.30% of the trainees felt that the training was very beneficial,and the suggestions on the training bases mainly focused on the training content,training methods,teaching,etc.Conclusion Most of the trainees are willing and able to work as clinical pharmacists after the training of clinical pharmacists of TCM,and the training bases will continue to optimize the training mode and content,make efforts to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists of TCM.
