Research on quasi-static behavior of composite girder with corrugated steel web

Abstract:In order to investigate the seismic behavior of composite girder with corrugated steel web, quasi-static tests on 1/4 scaled model with shear-span ratio of 2.2 were conducted. The basic seismic behaviors including loading process, hysteretic curves, load-carrying capacity and ductility, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation were analyzed. The results indicate that the specimen fails by bending with ductile failure features. The hysteretic curve is plump and the pinching phenomenon is slight which shows a good hysteretic behavior. The good ductility and energy dissipation ability are proved by the ductility coefficient and viscous damping coefficient which are about 3 and more than 0.2 respectively. Finally, elasto-plastic finite element analysis was conducted using ABAQUS software, and the results are consistent with the experimental results.
