Controlling for Welding Stress in Metal Structures of Port Cranes

For the features of structural component of port cranes, and the crane's working environment and loading cases, this paper analyzes the importance of controlling welding stress in welded structure. Taking a boom with box section as an example, this paper introduces some accessorial methods that are different to the routine welding technique. These methods can be helpful to reduce or control the welding stress in the structure of port crane.
