摘    要:结合JPEG2000中比例移位法对感兴趣区域(ROU编码算法的优点,提出了基于多级树集合分裂(SPIHT)算法的ROI图像编码算法.压缩后的码流具有嵌入性特点,支持渐进传榆.实验结果表明,在相同码率下,本算法重建图像整体峰值信噪比低于SPIHT算法,但ROI区域能够得到较好的重建,主观视觉效果好,尤其适用于低码率压缩情况.

Abstract:In image compression and image processing applications,region of interest of images are needed to get better compression results compared with region of back ground.Combining the advantages of general scaling based method(SBM) for the processing region of interest(ROI) in JPEG2000,a novel ROI image coding method based on set partitioning in hierarchical(SPIHT) algorithm is proposed.By using this coding method,the compressed bit streams are all embedded and suited for progressive transmission.Experimental results show that at the same compression ratio,although the whole image's PSNR performance of the proposed algorithm is inferior to the original SPIHT algorithm,ROI can get better reconstructed quality,especially for low bit rate compression condition.
