Application of FOCUS-PDCA in Perioperative Patients Safety Management

The perioperative medical and nursing care process was analyzed by using FOCUS-PDCA to identify the causes of operation complications and influencing factors on perioperative patient safety.The patient safety management during perioperative period was carry out through improvement of the perioperative period management rules and regulations,optimization of the perioperative medical and nursing process,and establishment of the perioperative quality monitoring network etc.Major indicators of the perioperative management had all risen,and operation complication rate dropped from 0.16％ to 0.08％,which effectively improved perioperative medical quality and ensured patients safety.
