醛糖还原酶与炎症性疾病

醛糖还原酶是多元醇通路的关键限速酶,以烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷磷酸（NADPH）为辅酶催化醛类或酮类物质还原为相应的醇,广泛存在于肾、肾上腺、睾丸、血管、胎盘、晶状体、视网膜、神经、心脏、脑、骨骼肌、肝等组织中。醛糖还原酶是脂质过氧化过程中产生醛类谷胱甘肽-醛聚合物解毒所必须的酶。醛糖还原酶除参与继发性糖尿病并发症外,还参与心血管疾病、肿瘤、败血症、葡萄膜炎及哮喘的气道炎症过程。

Aldose reductase and inflammatory diseases

Aldose reductase is the key rate-limiting enzyme of the polyol pathway,and revert aldehydes or ketones to the corresponding alcohol by nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH) as catalytic coenzyme.Aldose reductase widely present in the kidney,adrenal gland,testes,blood,placental,lens,retina,nerves,heart,brain,skeletal muscle,liver and other tissues.It’s a necessary detoxification enzyme that connected with the aldehyde-glutathione formaldehyde polymer in the process of lipid peroxidation.And that it is not only related to secondary diabetic complications,but also involved in cardiovascular diseases,cancer,sepsis,uveitis and airway inflammation in asthma.
