Application of Blood Nucleic Acid Screening in Non-remunerated Blood Donors

Objective To analyze and discuss the application of nucleic acid screening in non-remunerated blood donors.Methods A total of 38054 unpaid blood donors from January 2019 to October 2019 were included in this study to observe the positive rates of HBV DNA,HCV RNA and HIV RNA detection among unpaid blood donors in this area so as to evaluate the value of nucleic acid detection.Results Among the 38054 samples,37513 were enzyme-free and qualified,and 22 nucleic acid reactive samples were detected by the blood nucleic acid screening system,including 21 cases of HBV DNA and 1 case of HCV RNA.No HIV RNA was detected.Among the 22815 samples tested by Roche system,14 HBV reactive samples and 1 HCV reactive sample were detected,the effective resolution rate was 44.12%,the false positive rate was 0.66‰.Conclusion Blood that passed the serological ELISA test is still at risk of transfusion-transmitted diseases,mainly HBV.Therefore,the application of nucleic acid detection technology in blood screening of unpaid blood donors can prevent the transmission of blood transfusion diseases to the greatest extent,significantly improve the quality of blood screening,and greatly improve the safety of blood donation.
