公示语汉英翻译中的语境补缺及语用充实

通过分析汉英语言文化差异导致的公示语英译时面临的诸多信息空缺，认为公示语英译时，一方面需要对原语进行以语境为参照的语境补缺．以获取交际信息；另一方面则需对译语进行以读者为基础的语用充实与顺应，选择得体的译语形式，即寻找原语与译语之间的最佳关联，以最大限度地实现语用等效。

Contextual Compensation and Pragmatic Enrichment in C-E Translation of Public Signs

Through the analysis of the giant C-E cultural gaps will necessarily result in information gaps while translating public signs from Chinese into English, it is suggested that, on one hand, information gaps in the source language should be bridged or compensated with the intrusion of context; and on the other hand the target language should be enriched pragmatically and adapted to the expected audience/readers so that optimal relevance between the source language and the traget language can be satisfied, and pragmatic equivalence is eventually achieved.
