| Abstract: | In this paper,2 hydroxy 2,4,6 cycloheptatrien 1 one(tropolone) was synthesized in higher yield by the reaction of cyclopentadiene and dichloroacetyl chloride. The product was characterized by IR, 1 HNMR and elemental analysis. |
